Atmosphere: Ruben’s Food Truck is right next to Pavillions, you can’t miss its neon sign. They have plenty of chairs you can sit on while you wait for your food or to eat your food at if you’re in a hurry. Service: Service was prompt and fast. There was only one latina girl working at the time I went and she handled a whole line of customers extremely well. It only took around 5 minutes to get my burrito and I didnt even notice because I was busy getting all the different types of sauces from the salsa bar! She was also very kind and did not rush me when I was indecisive between cabeza or asada~ Food: The burrito here is the largest I’ve ever gotten from any of the food trucks in LA. Its $ 6 which is around 50 cents more on average than other food trucks, but for its size its definitely worth it! It also comes with chips on the side! for free! The burrito’s ingredients taste like batches are made frequently and not just sitting out for hours until its out of stock. The salsa’s here ARESOOOOGOOD. The green one in particular stood out to me the most because its chunky! It’s not that green salt/sour water you get from some other trucks. The red salsas are just as good or even better. For 6 dollars and the taste and portion size… this is a stealllll. You have to try this place. 11⁄10 A++

Pretty tasty tacos and salsas. I ordered chorizo, carne asada and barbacoa tacos, and i liked them all. Almost forgot to mention the tacos are $ 1 each, super bargain for the quality! Can’t wait to try the rest of their menu options!

This place is pretty good. I think they get pissed when I just order a couple tacos on my way home though. I don’t want a drink when I got beers ready. Just raise your prices.

One of the best taco trucks in all of LA. They do this little Mexican rendition of the Philly Cheesesteak which is far from authentic but dam is it tasty. The prices here are absolutely terrific $ 1 for a taco and $ 5 even for a burrito. The food is literally some of the best Mexican I have eaten from a truck. The selection is endless and they have options most rinky dink trucks couldn’t dream of. Finally it is open super late on party nights. So do your self a favor and if you are drinking in Holywood make sure you book mark this as your go to spot. Mel’s gets old.

I would give it four stars if it were just for the sopes, but all of their other menu items have been unimpressive. Salsas are also hit and miss. On the plus side they are always friendly!

This is my FAVORITE taco truck, I like it more than Cactus. Their asada, pastor, or chorizo tacos are great and SO cheap(they’re cash only, it’s worth it.) I love their green salsas that they offer. Their chorizo or asada quesadilla is great too.

Okay I rarely go to taco trucks but when it’s 2AM in the morning and starving, you gotta get what you can find. But this is not a regular taco truck, this descended from the heavens and landed right next to the Vons parking lot. I ordered from this place about 6 times and each time I was very satisfied with both the quantity and quality of the food. The lady who took the order was extremely friendly and helped me choose my order since I don’t eat Mexican food often. The guy who makes the food is super friendly as well and makes the best cemitas I’ve ever had. Which was something new I tried. The fries are perfection. Especially if you have the works on it, with meat and sour cream, one of the best fries I’ve ever had and the amount of food is incredible. I guess the only downside is that there’s no place to sit down and eat but hey, just take it home and eat by yourself while hiding it from your family because you know they’ll try to take some and you know you don’t want to share because it’s so good like I do. So anyways, try it and you’ll love it. Most of the items are 6 bucks so give it a shot, won’t regret it.

Average. They have a big variety of stuff but ultimately the best thing they’re serving are those $ 1 tacos. Tonight I tried the asada fries. Tomorrow, back to the tacos.

Two words. DOLLA. TACOS. $ 1 — ah buck. One crisp(or limp) George Washington will get you fresh, hot food that’s never seen the inside of a microwave. That’s not something I take lightly in this day and age. Being a L.A. native, I can tell you that this city USED to be peppered with Mexican food trucks selling tacos for a dollar… but no more:(Now you can mostly only find these little circles of meaty deliciousness for ah buck twenty-five or even a dollar fifty! «Ah dollar fifty.?» GETOUT… or in this case IN,.a restaurant, if you want to sell your tacos for that much. When I buy food on the side of the road(literally), I want that ish on the cheap. So at least 50% of my rating is based on the 1980s prices but the tacos are also good. They keep me coming back. Sometimes breaking my neck, as I’m driving by Pavilions on my way home, to see if the truck is out there. Even though the tacos are on the small side, they usually come with enough meat to quail my taco craving for moment, with me only feeling like the meat was a bit ‘skimpy’ a couple of times in the past. The guys on the truck are really friendly and always include a free smile with your meal …Oh!, and the grilled onions! LOVE ‘EM. They give them to you on the side when you order food to go. If they don’t, ask. I don’t eat them though because I don’t like the texture once they’ve been cooked(I only like a LOT of raw onions on my tacos) but I swear, just the smell of them make your food taste better :) And the salsa bar is the truth. I’ve never had any of their other menu items. If I do, I’ll update my review .but don’t count on it, cause I’m cheap! lol
