Wow ! That what I have to say. Sadou his the Man for your need. I have Dreadlocks for over 20 years and I’m very picky at who will work on my hair. I’m from Montréal and travel all over North America and the last 5 years leave in Oregon. Everytime I will flew back to Montréal to go to my stylist and fix the new growth. But lately I only go there twice a year. So you can imagine how my growth can be? So while in L. A for the week before working around the area I search on the net to find the best stylist to fix my hair. The One and Only that came up with 5 stars and really mean it. Now I’m 24 year old and I just recently decided to get my hair dreaded. I’ve had braids for 10+ years of my life and I felt like it was time for a change. So I did research (using Unilocal of course) for different hair salons that does dreads. I was able to find plenty of hair salons but all of them seemed to have a few bad reviews. All except DK’s Hair Designs. The reviewers for DK’s Hair Designs all seemed to speak highly about one person, Sadou. So I decided to checkout DK’s Hair Designs. I mean why not right? Others seemed to like it…
Growing up I always would get my hair braided by my Mom, and for the last 5 years of my life I’ve had a female friend come braid my hair. So I don’t have any hair salons experience, cause I never had the need to go to one. So I didn’t know what to expect with DK’s Hair Designs. So when I went I can use 1 word to describe it… DOPE!!! Let me translate that for you incase you don’t get my drift. INCREDIBLE!!! From the moment I walked into DK’s Hair Designs I felt comfortable and at home. The hair stylist that was working there were all friendly and warm. The moment I met Sadou I could tell why so many people spoke highly of him in there reviews. He was a very cool dude. Very friendly and very open to talk about my hair and what I was to planning to have done to it. Again my goal was to get my hair dreaded, and I wasn’t sure if that was possible due to me having braids for the past 10+ years of my life and having different chemicals put into my hair. Sadou clearly explained to me the different options I had for beginning my journey of having dreads. Now I’m going to go into detail because I’m not a hair-​ologist like Sadou (I say this because the man knew what he was talking about) and I’m sure I may give some wrong information. So he explained to me the different options I have and was more than willing to explain to me the different steps that would need to be taken. So hanging around for a while and getting a feel for the place, for Sadou, and for what steps would need to be taken to begin my journey, I scheduled an appointment and was on my way…
So let me get to the point of this review. Sadou hooked my hair up. Let’s me translate that for you incase you don’t get my drift. Sadou did an EXQUISITE job. Hahaha… I would highly recommend him to any and everybody. Sadou fixed my hair the exact way I pictured it looking. So if are planning to get dreads, already have dreads, need to get your dreads refreshed, whatever the case may be go to DK’s Hair Designs and see Sadou. I’m telling you right now, that brotha knows what he’s doing. I mean he himself has dreads and one thing he told me that I totally agree on is, if your going to have somebody take care of your dreads it should be somebody who actually has them. That makes all the sense in the world to me…
