I met with Sam Rad to go over my financial goals and the best way to manage my finances long term. I was hesitant to meet with a financial planner at first because the process felt very intimidating to me, but that was not the case with Sam. He was helpful, kind, thorough and offered great suggestions. He answered all of my questions and explained what options work best for me. After meeting with Sam, I finally feel confident in my finances! Never thought I’d say that. I would highly recommend him to anyone and I plan to recommend him to all of my friends.

Sam was incredibly helpful, both with financial planning and advice around how to increase income and reduce cost of living. He has empathy and an understanding of certain anxieties that may come with retirement planning and investing. I called Sam to help with planing my parents’ retirement and he worked with my older parents to define a longer term plan in addition to making suggestions on short term improvements. Sam knows about investing, financial markets, real estate and employment. Overall, incredibly knowledgeable and personable for any type of client! We are so grateful for Sam’s expertise.

I have been working with Sam for a few years now. I rolled over my 401K when I left a previous employer. He is excellent at explaining investment options and helping the client discover which strategy is best for their situation. I have referred him to several friends and family. I trust him completely, which isn’t how I feel about most others.

I was impressed with Sam’s ability to explain and break down complex financial information «simplistically» in terms I was able to understand. I went in for financial advise and came out with much better understanding of my retirement plan options. Sam has a wonderful way about him: calm, sincere, patient and clearly know what he is talking about. I appreciate that he made me feel relaxed and comfortable talking about my finances. I can feel that he truly cares about helping people. He should teach this to more people, especially children, so we can be literate and be more empowered to make better, sound financial decisions.

Probably the best financial advisor I have been with! Sam is a exceptional financial planner that has a lot of knowledge in the field of personal finances. When I first met with him he took his time to get to know me and then gave me the right type of directions that I needed to meet my goals. I felt that he really understood me and knew how to speak to me since I am NOT in the field of finance. Other financial advisors I have been with did not speak to me in a way that I could understand so I was usually not very confident in what I was doing. With Sam I understand things every step of the way and therefore I feel a lot better about my personal finances. I will be visiting Sam next time I’m in LA for sure!

This financial advisor knows his stuff! I visited one of Sam’s college classes and quickly realized that this guy is different than the rest. He makes complex stuff so simple to understand. That’s very impressive to me since I’m not a financial advisor! I’m just a normal person who gets nervous when it comes to technical issues. If you’re looking for a financial advisor who can truly help you and not make you feel like an idiot you will be impressed with Sam. I just met with Sam and his partner Rishin today. I’ve never met with a financial planner before and had a bit of anxiety before going in, but their calm and professional manner instantly put this finance newbie at ease. They were able to answer my basic questions about whether I was on the right financial track and gave helpful, unbiased advice. They were also able to succinctly walk me through my different retirement options (401K, IRA, Roth IRA) as well as advise which would be the best for me.

Never having dealt with a financial planner, I had some anxiety about meeting with one. I was concerned whether or not the advice I received would have a self-​serving, used-​car salesman agenda (gotta make those sales!). Luckily my anxiety was ill-​founded. The 5 star reviews for Sam are completely justified.
He is exactly what you want in a financial advisor: patient, knowledgeable, professional and trustworthy. He asks the important questions to determine your future needs/​goals and then «reverse engineers» to give sound suggestions on taking action toward those goals. It’s very apparent that his first priority is to understand and serve his clients’ needs rather than sacrifice trust and push products that aren’t the most appropriate choice.
His experience as a teacher at UCLA extension definitely shows. He deftly explains concepts in a simple, straightforward manner without making you feel ignorant… even if you suspect you are.

Having had my first session with Sam Rad, I can say that he is knowledgeable, helpful,
patient, and above all, not at all judgmental about the state of your finances when you
walk in the door. He listens carefully to your concerns about your financial picture and
immediately gets to work translating your concerns, priorities, and goals into a clear plan, with no tsk-​tsking or bemoaning all the questionable choices you may have made in the past. His manner is laid-​back and friendly, and he has a wonderful ability to get to the heart of the matter and explain it clearly, even to a total novice. I’m looking forward to more sessions with Sam and feel confident that he can help us get our financial situation sorted out so we’re on the path to a much more sane money picture.

I had an in depth meeting with Sam Rad yesterday and I feel compelled to write a review to reflect my experience.
With regards to seeking advice from a financial advisor, the most important aspect to me is trust. I have found that Sam is someone that has a very high level of trust and truly cares about helping other people.
I had been scheduling meetings and doing research; Sam was the first to respond and he always held himself to a very high level of professionalism. I, myself, am a CPA, and I found that Sam was very knowledgeable. I look forward to working with Sam because I truly believe that Sam puts his clients’ needs first, giving honest, insightful, advice in a manner that is easy understood by someone that does not have a degree in finance.

My husband and I met with Sam last week to go over our finances and to discuss our future goals. We found the session to be incredibly helpful. Sam was patient, honest and professional. He understands our needs, is very hands-​on and believes in 100% transparency. These are traits we believe are very important in a financial planner. I think what really sets him apart is that he sees the importance of educating his clients every step of the way, rather than taking over the entire portfolio and leaving them in the dark. I would highly recommend working with him.

We had our free consultation today with Sam as advertised. Saturdays are normally reserved for his paid clients, but he was nice enough to see us today. Sam is knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. He takes a comprehensive and holistic approach to financial planning. Husband had to sacrifice a planned activity today to attend, but found the session worth his time.

Sam is young, smart, and an amazing resource. Just finished a retirement planning and information session with him. He was able to provide a broad overview of retirement planning (401k, 403b, IRA, etc.) and provide retirement advice that was easy to understand and easier to implement.
The session began with him asking very specific questions about my finances including yearly income, existing savings amounts, short and long terms savings goals. The purpose of these questions was so that he could tailer his advice around my individual needs. He even put his example on his window glass. Although it may be difficult to undetstand, Sam was able to make learning about retirement savings easy. I will begin implementing his advice tonight.

I attended a Social Security benefits class that Sam taught(thru El Camino Community Education). How lucky to have someone so knowledgeable and successful in his field come down & share his expertise with us! I took him up on his offer to the students of a 1-​hour consultation in his Beverly Hills office. Altho I know my financial picture is on the«small potatoes» side next to most of the clients that are served at that company, Sam made me feel every bit as important as those with large estates and investment portfolios. We discussed a difficult family illness situation I’m going through and unlike many others who advise me to only look after myself(I’m at retirement age), he urged me to do what I know is right, and that is to help family first while being more sensible about my financial picture.
Sam must know that no matter how small one’s bank account & holdings may be, one never knows if that client will someday acquire significantly more $ to manage.

By far the best financial advisor in Los Angeles. Sam Rad helped me with all of my financial and retirement planning questions. He took his time to go over things in a way which made sense and was simple to understand. I now know how it feels to deal with a real financial advisor who actually cares. I have been with other financial advisers in Los Angeles but Sam has by far been the top.
