You may have gone here before without knowing it if you caught a flick at The Regent Theatre on Broxton. It’s also home to a church Sunday mornings at 10am, and it’s young pastors and staff turn this little theatre into a place of worship out of a fully-equipped trailer every week. It’s teaching is sound and straight from the Bible. The people there love Jesus, and care about who comes and goes, and even the local Vets stop in for worship on a regular basis. If you go to UCLA and are looking for a church within walking distance, you’ll probably run into a friend or two here. But don’t worry, if you are a working professional, or want to bring your kids, you still be in good company! Parking is free for 2 hours in the lot on Broxton, or at a meter all day if you grab a spot early. Stay all day and grab lunch at any of the amazing restaurants nearby, hit up the farmer’s market right on Broxton, then catch a movie at the Regent or any of the nearby movie theatres.
