I went due to the reviews, got there and it was a hole in the wall, with an A letter grade in the window. I got the cheese burger, fries, and a strawberry soda. The soda was nice size for it to be in a combo. Burger taste delish, and nicely seasoned. The fries was also seasoned well, and was very good. I would have gave it a five star but I took a sip of the strawberry soda I ordered and it was flat, like it came out of a bottle that had been opened for awhile, sitting out hot and poured over ice. Now I couldn’t see anything through the window as he was preparing my order(by the way, he was very nice), but felt at ease being there was an A letter grade in the window, but when I removed the lid cover from my flat drink, to throw down the drain, I saw that the rim of the cup was dirty. Yuk, glad I finished my meal before I saw the rim of that cup, otherwise would’ve lost my appetite and threw what I ordered all away.

Good burger, bring cash and ask for the fries to stay in the oil a little longer. Otherwise everything was seasoned well and I enjoyed it.

Ever since I moved back to my old neighborhood of Leimert Park, I was extremely disappointed in the lack of good eateries. Sure, we have Post & Beam, Phillips & Johnnie’s Pastrami. But I wanted a tasty burger joint. Well, my prayers got answered big time. While I was @ Crenshaw Car Wash getting my car detailed, I asked a worker there where to get a good burger close by. They walked me around the corner to this teeny stand pained red & yellow facing Crenshaw. Literally across from Maverick’s Flat. Now, I’ve driven by this stand maybe 100 times without giving it any thought. Plus, you’d have to park on the street in front IF there’s a spot. So I decided to get a small order just to try it out. Was I shocked. I swear I was eating a FIVEGUYSBURGER! At HALF the price! I got a Bacon Cheese burger and fries and a reg. hamburger for the Mrs. She LOVED it and she is VERY hard to please. Yeah, it’s a one man shop so it will take ~ 10 mins +/-but I can assure you, the burgers will knock you out. A bit ‘messy’, but I’d rather it be that way than DRY. Tasty and juicy. Fries were soft, not over cooked and had just the right light sprinkle of Lawry’s Season Salt. This now makes me want to try other items. I mean, who would’ve thunk it? A literal nondescript hole in the wall, in the ‘hood, on Crenshaw in a car wash lot with killer burgers! The owner was very grateful for the business too. Nice fellow. So, my strategy going fwd is, I go order my chow while my car is getting washed. 50 steps away. May have to try his Pastrami & Tacos since the burgers were so damn good. Try this place, it’s well worth it.
