The sandwiches are hit or miss for me but I’ve only tried a few. I do recommend the egg salad if you go. However they need a better system for pickup orders. I just got stuck in line behind a group of 7 people who were like«I want a soda, do you want a soda? Which soda?» Etc etc. My sandwich was sitting to the side getting soggy the entire 20 min. Parking can be horrific. Try to go at off peak times so you can actually park in the lot behind the building. I’d go back if I was in the area and NOT in a hurry.

Best BLT in L.A.!! Hands down! Fresh toasted sourdough bread, fresh lettuce, not soggy, and fresh tomatoes! not slimy tomatoes. Their bacon was excellent it wasn’t dry and crumbly, it was soft and chewy and savory. They put mayo on it and it was perfect! Perfect BLT with a cherry-lime frostie soda. The chips were kinda disgusting. The original sandwich name is called the BELTA: Bacon, egg, lettuce, tomato, avocado. I like mine more traditional. So if you like the more traditional ask for the belta no egg/no avo. Also they have an amazing bottle cap collage! Call Sesame Street quick! Bert would be floored!!!

I’m from the east coast and I love sandwiches. Not a lot of good ones here in LA. Andy M took me here and showed me the goodness. Y’all should check it out and enjoy some good grub and good friendly employees!

At first I was impressed and expecting greatness especially for the cost. Unfortunately, it was a complete waste of money. Their prices are very, very high for deceiving quality. I personally felt the chip which they bag themselves is greasy. Just because it says the name of the store it doesn’t make them quality. I rather pay a dollar less for the meal and have my chip place on the tray. Seeing the grease in the bag also was a turn off. Why did I payed extra for greasy chips? The chicken, tomatoes and basil sandwich – the taste wasn’t what I was expecting and the overall taste was super disappointing. The chicken tasted pre frozen and the moment the sandwich got cool everything got hard. I only ate half and ended up throwing out the rest which I hate doing. Sorry just didn’t see the value –overall a $ 15 disappointment.

Great sandwiches! They have a wide variety of sandwiches from hot to cold. I recommend the chicken pesto or the Pop’s burger. The sandwiches come with a side of homemade potato chips and they’re so good. Every time I come, they have different flavors. I’ve tried the Korean bbq, cheddar jalapeño, and the white cheddar bacon. All were very good! The service is always great and friendly but I do wish they were open on Sundays. I come here every now and then, but it’s not something I would get every week because it’s a little overpriced for sandwiches.

Great fresh ingredients! We had the artisan — nitrate free turkey, prosciutto, brie and fig onion jam; buffalo chicken sandwich, chicken bomb. All were good. Fresh ingredients.

I eat here quite often. The owner is always around and you can find him behind the counter half the time prepping and helping out which shows the pride he takes in the business. That being said, the people that I’ve met that work here seem to take pride in what they do as well and honestly, they’ve ruined Subway for me indefinitely. All of their ingredients are always super fresh and the ever changing specials menu is always creative and delicious. I don’t eat meat but I do eat fish so I can’t speak for maybe half of the menu personally, but if everything that comes out of there is as good as what I’ve had you can’t really go wrong with anything in there. Take my advice, don’t be afraid to go outside your comfort zone. Ask the employees what they like and it’s usually a little off the menu but I’ve never been steered wrong. They also have a list of add ons that can make any sandwich better. My go to is the ultimate grilled cheese but add fresh mozzarella, grilled onions, avocado and hots and get the tomato basil soup as your side. Trust me you’ll be glad you did. I actually add the hots to every sandwich I get pretty much, its an in house blend of different peppers that adds flavor without too much heat so you can still taste whatever you ordered.

Absolutely wonderful fancy sandwiches. Great bread. Crappy parking. Fancy sodas, fancy staff, fancy clientele. I wondered if I was cool enough to be eating at this restaurant. Sandwiches are large in size, but still expensive(for a sandwich). Small eating area. Its kinda fancy, too. Fancy(Homemade) potato chips. They make a spicy salsa(they call them«hots») which they can put on the sandwich, hot or cold. Pretty fancy place.

Most sandwich/wrap places I have for lunch are the same template just alright meals. I’d put Soda Pop just a notch above that. I had the Chicken Pesto Wrap on Whole Wheat. It had good flavor and dressing. It came with a special side, and today’s side was a Quinoa Salad. Typically, I am not a fan of Quinoa, as it’s usually bland, but I really enjoyed this one. I’ll be back again to try the Steak Bomb, as that looks delicious as well.

Burger crew meeting called to order on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at noon(Angela’s pick). Members in attendance: Angela d., Sumana S., Trevor Y., Wayne T., and Dennis K. I. Ordering We all ordered the Pop’s burger, which comes with an 8 ounce house blend Angus patty, roma tomato, cornichons, bacon, onion strings, A1 sauce, and lettuce on a brioche bun. For $ 13 you get the burger and chips. We were not asked how we wanted our burgers cooked. II. The burgers The burgers were pretty good, but the A1 sauce was a little overpowering for some of us. I, personally, liked it. We were a little skeptical of the cornichons at first(for those of you not in the know, cornichons are the little, tiny fancy pickles), but they were really great! The burger was very bright(lots of acid notes) and the patty had a great sear. The burgers were inconsistently cooked; some were well done and others were cooked medium. The bread to meat ratio was a little bread heavy. The bacon was good! III. The fries No fries. They have housemade chips(either salt and pepper or cajun). The chips were good! They come in a generous portion and were salty and a little greasy(as chips should be, in my opinion). If you want to be healthy, you could get a side of fruit instead. IV. Miscellaneous They have a whole case of bottled soda, which was pretty cool. Sumana also ordered the tomato basil soup and she said it was really good. They have a parking lot in the back(which is a little difficult to find). They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Dennis’ burger came out a little later than the rest of our food, and by a little later I mean that we were almost finished with ours by the time his came(yeah, we’re great friends). So they gave him extra chips to compensate. It was a nice touch! Also, they look like they have a lot of other great sandwiches(I don’t think burgers are their specialty). V. Value Value was pretty standard. The burger was pretty big so it was a good size for the price. VI. The verdict If you like acidity in your burger and a lot of flavor, you will enjoy this burger. Next time I come back, I think I have to try their other sandwiches though! Ratings: 3.1, 3.2, 3.6, 3.8, 4 Next burger crew meeting: February 2, 2016 at 7pm Location: DK’s pick — Golden State, Los Angeles.

Big fan of Soda Pop’s! I was looking for a lunch spot near the office so I decided to check it out. My favorite sandwich is the Reuben so I had to go with that. This is kinda nerdy, but there’s a pretty good meat distribution with this. For some reason, Reuben’s always tend to be really clunky and the meat is distributed unevenly. It could be a little bigger, but overall a really good sandwich. I also had some homemade schezwan chips which had a nice little kick to them. Really tasty!

Two blocks away from Cedars Hospital. So it was a nice way to change it up from the normal hospital food. I was hoping for a blow my mind sandwich, with homemade chips, fresh baked cookie, and a unique soda. I ordered the chicken bomb. It was ok. I was hoping for a little more flavor in the chicken so had to go get the help of Tapatio to help with the flavor. The homemade nacho cheese chips were ehh and the heath cookie was not any better. BUT they did have lots of different sodas which was cool. I’ll be back at the hospital again and will give this place another try. Hoping it will be better experience next time.

Not really what I was expecting at all. Soda Pop’s is kind of like a 50s diner(counter) that would be in an office building or something. There’s not a lot of fun here and the employees seem a little over it. I ordered the Ultimate Grilled Cheese and it was more like grilled bread with a little taste of cheese. There are some hard to find sodas that are in the refrigerated case. I probably would never go back but if you worked in the area, it might be an option. Not a very good one, but an option.

Pop pop Soda Pop’s! I really enjoy saying the name of this delicious made to order gourmet salads, sandwiches, wraps and more!!! Its appropriately named because they have a nice fully stocked eye catching fridge with a variety of flavors and brands of sodas. The décor is very modern and inviting but unfortunately my coworkers and had to get back to work so we ordered to go. It was a hard to choose because everything on their menu looked amazing but I finally decided on the Santa Fe wrap. OMG! first of all it was huge! Really it could feed too people possibly three and it tasted incredible. It had a lot of toppings and savory mouth watering flavors. The chicken was nice and warm and cooked perfectly. I especially loved the sauce in the wrap, it made the wrap complete! It was nice and hearty and very filling. Everyone else really enjoyed their sandwiches and wraps. Hopefully next time I will be able to dine in and enjoy their nice shop. I cant wait to go again!

Yeah, so I’m absolutely blown away by the place. The commitment to good food and quality here is something you don’t find often and I truly respect and appreciate what they are trying to do. It’s such a warm and comfortable place. Simple food but amazing taste and service. I will be back often to encourage and support this fine sandwich shop. It’s a place like this that makes me truly love LA. Had the chicken bomb(reminded me of a philly cheesesteak with chicken) and also the roast beef sandwich

Wow this place is awesome. I called and placed my order since the Unilocal system was down. I ordered a chicken bomb and the steak bomb sandwiches! And holy moly they were delicious. I tried both of them. They serve their sandwiches with a side: I chose the cheddar ranch chips. Wow… They are so delicious. They also had a cool selection of sodas(I don’t drink soda but if that’s your thing) there were all kinds of pop I hadn’t seen before. They also had blondes, oatmeal cookies and chocolate chip cookies. That looked really Good but I didn’t get any. The parking is a little annoyance; they do have their own parking lot in the back but it is Jammed. And I went there about 2pm.

Great spot for lunch! Their sandwiches here are delicious but a little on the pricey side. Hey, if you are able to indulge every once in a while for a sandwich that is unique and tasty, I say do it here! AMBIANCE: The place is easy to miss. But once you step inside, you are transported to a sandwich haven with classic sodas. They have a large counter where you place your order and several small tables where you can dine inside. The place is tiny but thankfully it doesn’t feel overwhelming or too crowded especially during peak hours. FOOD: I am a huge fan of their chicken pesto sandwich. The chicken is still juicy and you can definitely taste the pesto inside. I always get mine in a spinach wrap which holds up to the chicken and pesto quite nicely. They have managed to wrap the entire thing perfectly each time so nothing spills out. Pretty impressive since they hook it up with the chicken and veggies too. As for sides, they have a delicious pasta salad as well as house made potato chips. The pasta salad is tangy and light but packed with flavor. The potato chips were crunchy like Kettle chips, however, they were a bit too salty for me. I did get the salt and pepper flavor so that could be the reason why. SERVICE: This place gets so busy at lunch. If you are in a hurry, I highly suggest you place your order online before you go. You will be saving a good 15 minutes.

Chicken bomb wasn’t that«bomb». I guess my expectation was a little too high. I had it in spinach tortilla instead of on French roll and spices on the side which might had been a mistake since the sandwich was somewhat bland. Horseradish potato salad was satisfying with big chunks of potatoes, but wasn’t able to taste horseradish and was little flavorless. So was their peach sweetened tea… Everything tasted good but felt like it missing something. Nevertheless, portion and price wise, they are very generous. Cute and hip place with friendly and helpful servers. The parking in the back of the building with very very narrow entrance. Scary! I wish they would open till little bit later on weekdays so that I could pick up something on the way home from work. Please!

After many months, we were finally able to take time out and actually go to the restaurant today. There’s actually parking in behind the building(if you drive anything bigger than a mid-size you might have trouble squeezing in) but this is great to know. The food is as good as ever. I ordered a Spicy Cuban and it was fantastic. If there’s a complaint it’s that the pork was a tad bit on the dry side but that’s me thinking about it and really trying to criticize what could be a flaw with it. Service was excellent, although we did find the inconsistency of order to serve odd(people that came in line after us got their food first), although it looks like a lot of the food is cooked fresh to order so cold sandwiches will always be able to go out first. I think it’s because a lot of us were hungry(and some were hangry) it made it a bigger deal than it is but w/e, food was worth the wait.
