Amazing and timely work from this business! Alex and Tonie came and picked up a sofa I found on the street! It has been beautifully restored! Thank you SO much!!! I also had a large armchair recovered that was headed for the dump. I am so happy with the craftsmanship!

I have a 60s-​era couch that was in desperate need of reupholstering, preferring that to replacing it entirely, as the frame is very sturdy. Having noticed some very positive reviews of ‘Sofa Décor’ on this site, I decided to give the business a call and find out if they could help me. I made an appointment, then visited ‘Tonie’ at her shop in Eagle Rock. I had brought a few swaths of fabric that I had in mind from Calico Corners, along with pictures of my couch. Tonie was terrific in helping me decide the best fabric for looks and durability, providing me with an estimate of how much material I would need to order, what she would charge to do the reupholstering and the time needed to get the job done. Long story short, the two weeks they guesstimated the job would take wound up being only a week — I was thrilled. My couch now looks brand new — beautiful with no details overlooked. Tonie and her associates were professional and friendly and I am extremely pleased with the outcome of the work they did for me.

Toni was awesome! She was super available, answered all of our questions, and promised we would get our dining room chairs back in time for a dinner party. She over delivered! The chairs were ready the morning of our event (earlier than she had said they would be ready). Also, she and her husband drove the chairs to our house and dropped them off at no extra cost. She also sewed some covers for our chairs so the cats won’t mess up the actual chair, again at no extra cost. The chairs looked amazing! Quality craftsmanship. We are extremely happy with our experience at sofa décor. Highly recommend this business.

Tonie did a wonderful job reupholstering our sofa. She was very easy to work with, provided me with a quote soon after I contacted her via Unilocal,let us borrow fabric samples, completed the job early, and threw in a couple of great pillows that add a lot to to the sofa. She clearly takes pride in her work and goes above and beyond expectations. It seems like a brand new piece of furniture, since they replaced everything except the frame. The fabric we chose was a bit tricky to work with, but she used a particular stitch to make sure it doesn’t fray and gave me advice on caring for it. They handled pick-​up and delivery for a small fee. I highly recommend Sofa Décor!

I highly recommend this place especially to those with mid-​century furniture. They did an excellent job on 3 pieces for me. Great service — professional, courteous, and efficient. Very good pricing too.

I have no doubt the quality of the work is great, as evidenced by the reviews. However, I made numerous (and courteous) attempts to get a price quote by phone and email without so much as getting a return call or email. Clearly, they’re not hurting for business and/​or are very discriminate in who they accept business from. We ended up buying brand new custom furniture from Designers Furniture Resource from Glendale, instead of trying to resurrect old furniture.

Omg wow I’m so happy with the quality of work they came out of this little shop tony is such a wonderful person she’s so nice and down to earth I had a rocking chair and an ottoman reupholstery both came out perfect and Tony even made some extra pillows and a changing mat because my wife is about to have a baby.

I am absolutely beside myself happy with the work Sofa Décor did reupholstering my couch. I have a 1961 rattan couch (in perfect condition) from my grandmother that I love, and has great sentimental value to me. Every inch of the work is meticulous and beautiful beyond my highest expectations. This is the place to go for upholstery, no question. I will be back.

Their prices are reasonable and they definitely did a great job with our poorly built sectional we got from koreatown. If you’re looking for quality and timely work with great customer service look no further than Sofa Décor! Toni and her team completely stripped an old sofa and chair for me and added better cushioning and reinforced the framework for both pieces. They turned my old, run down furniture into high quality and even sewed arm covers so I can remove and wash them. Definitely call them. You will not be disappointed.

The work is spectacular, as is their customer service. Scheduling a pick up of two armchairs was simple and pleasant, and Antonina gave me an incredibly fair price to re-​cover them. She also was able to tell me how much fabric to get based on just a few measurements I texted her. And the cost of pick up and delivery was included. Couldn’t have asked for an easier and better outcome. I’ll send anyone looking for upholstery their way. Oh and my chairs? They’re gorgeous. OH! She made two extra throw pillows from the leftover fabric! For free!

Tonie and Alex are so awesome and so easy to work with. They turned around cushions for a built in kitchen banquette in record time! They are fairly priced, do quality work and pay great attention to detail. So happy to have found these guys and I can’t wait to work with them again.

To my amazement, they called back and wanted to fix what they did first time around. They did a much better job second time around. I really appreciate their effort.

This time Sofa Décor recovered a mid-​century piece for me. After a discussion about how to place the fabric, they did such an amazing job. I’m spreading the word. These guys are great. I’ve had at least 6 pieces from various eras done by Sofa Décor. Craftsmen.

Toni and her guys do such a great job. They have recovered several pieces of furniture that look better than they did when I bought them. They have also remade two sets of drapes that I moved from one house to another. They can do anything that involves fabric! I recommend them highly.

I just picked up my newly restored and lovely mid-​century modern upholstered chair.
They did an outstanding job! The the lines and bones of this chair were good, but the fabric made it look old and tired. It’s completely transformed and beautiful.
The price was more than reasonable. I expect to enjoy this chair for many years. Highly recommended!

I told her I wanted Art Deco palms for my vintage cane chair. Smashing result. And she threw in a complimentary throw pillow. More than five stars.

I just had two vintage chairs restored from Sofa décor. I chose two specific fabric (Emily Bone ‘wired terrier’ and Thibaut ‘Azweema’) for her to do and I had very specific instruction on Azweema. Because of the prints on Azweema I needed her to put certain images on certain side of chair and also made them look all harmonious. After seeing her with my chair and fabrics I was 50% excited and 50% concerned because this was my first time ever with reupholstering. Even though she gave me very fair and good price if things don’t go to well I knew I was waisting $$$ and beautiful fabrics. About a month later I got my chairs back and I could not believe those were same vintage chairs! They looked so well made inside and out even the details under the cushions was impressive. She used two different inner material to the chairs because they were two very different fabric and that right there I felt that she cares about her profession deeply. Also one of my vintage chair had springs coming out but now I can’t even tell which one had that problem. The Azweema chaired turned out great! She did match exact print on exact sides I wished and it looks fabulous! Could not be happier with her service.
— When I called her for enquiry she gave me most honest and earthy kinda phone answers out of 3 different places I called.
— After seeing my chairs on the phone she gave me a price. When I brought them in she said it was more job than she thought but she still gave me better price on it because that was what she said on the first place.
— I returned to pick them up I found two beautiful matching cushions that she made with left over fabrics and they were gifts.
— this is not a fancy intimidating place. Very down to earth it looks some what working studio like. Tonnie is not some calculative business woman I felt she was more of an artisan who cares about what she does.
Talk to her! Have a talk with her about your projects she will be very insightful. Also her price was very very reasonable and its worth every penny of it!
