I won tickets through their Instagram account, arrived at 11:16,(16. Minutes past the guest list admission time due to Hollywood Blvd traffic,;30mins) and they could not give a f*ck. I tried to tell the guest list line and admission: I ended up paying for a ticket anyways($ 35) and thought it was just«whatever». If the doormen would have been more considerate and the drinks weren’t as watered down and weak, i would have enjoyed this club a bit more. Crowd was touristy. If you’re local, I wouldn’t waste you’re time.

If I could give this«club» 0 stars I would. Then that means I wouldn’t be reviewing though, and I feel people should know that this wanna-be SF, Vegas priced, extremely hot venue because the owner is too cheap to at least turn the AC on; expects us to pay $ 16 for a small drink. If I had to buy a tea set for my baby niece the serving would be bigger from her set. These drinks are TINY. OH, and if you decide you want to get a beer, that’s 8 bucks. My advice, support your local liquor store & get hammered before; then get on a guest list and get in for free. Piece of nothing club. Wait. This isn’t a club, it’s the size of a hookah lounge & seriously, the prices should NOT be this high, it’s WAY too small for those types of prices. And especially because there’s only one area to dance in, not even a separate room. Also, what the front door is up with not being able to take your drinks to the back patio with you??? Just so we can buy more over-priced drinks? I hope this places gets it together, or closes down. I’ll be sure to tell all the people I network with to NOT go here. I repeat NOT. Lastly, HOWDARETHEYTREATTHEQUEENOFDJSGINATURNERWITHMINIMALRESPECT, they told her the restroom was in the broom closet. TWICE… Never again, unless! I’m hammered before & get on the guest list again. *mid dle finger emoji to this club, man.

Correction: 0 stars* If it wasn’t for the awesome DJ, this place will be nothing. Entrance: heard the bouncer tell a man, it could cost him $ 15 – 55. No wait $ 45 the most to enter. The man scoffed and walked away. Our friend’s promoter told us girls it would be $ 15 each of us. When we get to the front, they won’t let us in until we paid $ 35 each! And then, my boyfriend came later on, who had to pay $ 60 to enter. JUSTTOENTER he PAID $ 60!!! Are you serious?!! It’s insane how much they were hustling everyone. Are you guys broke or something ?? Or was it because we were Asians? You let my friends before me(Mexicans) go in $ 15 or free entrance and then when it came to us(Asians) you guys jacked up the price. Racist or dirty hustlers. Either way it was very messed up. Came to celebrate my birthday, but this really ruined my night. Yeah, we won’t be coming back here again. Just couldn’t believe we paid so much just to enter. This was ridiculous. And it’s already bad for men to pay more. But $ 60 bro? Really? Inside: Super crowded, was forcing people to go up on the bleachers just so people can walk through which means. No room to dance. People were kinda aggressive and wouldn’t even let us go out to the back for a breather. Find another club guys, don’t be scared to say NO, and go to a better club. Hollywood is full of fun clubs, don’t waste your money or your time here at Sound.

smaller than your regular club, especially for something i would think of more as a venue since they get bigger acts. sound is really good but you would think it would be better. no lasers but good lights. multiple bars scattered throughout and smoking patio but you cant take drinks outside

One star due to the following: *too small *takes forever to get a drink *bouncers are fucking dicks(especially the main one with the beard) *can’t take your drinks to the patio(wtf) Their sound system is ok which kind of makes up

Love Sound! Atmosphere is fun, Djs were amazing and even the people were great to be around. Bartenders all work well and give great service although it gets super busy. Only reason why this place didn’t get 5 is that you can’t bring your drinks out to their patio area. Other than that loved this club definitely will be coming back!

Always changing, evolving, love the décor! So many cool intricate things — check out the stuff on the walls —(the bathroom wallpaper is super trippy) and find the golden«throne»(it’s a toilet lol). Bathrooms in front and in the back are always clean — BONUS. I hate nasty club bathrooms. Plus hands down, they book the best acts in house music — I saw Diplo surprise drop in and was 5 feet away! Big fan of the intimate setting, and this place is aptly named; Sound sounds amazing.

This is hands down one of the dope at night clubs that I have been to. It’s a very intimate venue and the people that are awesome. The security was helpful and making sure that everyone was good without getting aggressive and just being friendly. The guards name was HUNTER, dude, you ever read this, thanks for looking out. Whatever this spot is doing, keep it up because for sure I will be going back many times

I’ve been to Sound Nightclub two times and I have absolutely loved it both times. Not only are the crowds always awesome, but there is never a wait time to get in! On top of that the bass is amazing here. One of the things I truly enjoy about Sound is that it’s sort of small which helps create this intimate vibe between the crowd and DJs. I wish more places had this feel because it feels less like a club which I really enjoy. Drinks are standard drink prices but you need a two drink minimum for card, but I grabbed a water with my drink and that worked. The outside smoking area is awesome too because they have couches and a super sweet photobooth, which is free by the way. My friends and I had tons of fun taking drunken pictures inside of it. If you ever get the chance to come see someone here I totally recommend it! I can’t wait to come back here for another show.

Christmas at Sound Nightclub was everything you can look for in a great holiday party! I love this place! The vibe and the energy were so good!!! Definitely my favorite spot. The best music in Hollywood. It’s all about the music, the talent, the art.

Sound Nightclub is fun. I went for Framework Friday and saw TEED. Me and my friends got on a guest list so we got in free as long as we checked in to the front of the line by 11 pm. Find a promoter on Instagram to get on their guest list so you won’t have to pay $ 25. There are 2 bars and a food station. 1 bar is right there when you enter and the other bar is around the corner at the back of the dance floor. There are levels so sit on or stand on, whatever floats your boat. They have good deep house club music on Fridays and it’s so much fun to dance to. Read in another review that it seems as though everyone is on something. This is partly true but that’s because everyone is dancing having fun with no fs given how ridiculous they look. It’s not pretentious at all. If you’re used to pop music or mainstream edm you probably won’t like deep house. Just a warning.

Loved it here. Maybe because I was faded, or maybe because I had just watched Enter the Void, but regardless I felt like I was in a hallucinogenic dream. The place is small, but sexy. Lots of fog and a great setup of lights. Very intimate. I wish I had a fella with me when I came because I was really feeling the atmosphere. Definitely want to come back; hopefully next time with my friend Molly ;)

My boyfriend and I came here to see Bondax one Wednesday night. We arrived around 11:30PM, and scored a free parking spot right in front of the venue, SCORE! The nightclub is pretty cool, spacious, and lively. It could be just that night, but I appreciated that there was a good amount of people(but not so much that we couldn’t move around), there was good ventilation, and the actual sound was good. Also Bondax that night were killer; funky tunes are our thing. Getting drinks from the bar was cake, and I saw there was also a walk up window to get food. which was pretty neat; you don’t see that a lot inside of clubs!

Ehhh… Cost: Over priced? Yes absolutely! They charged us entrance fee of $ 25 per person for an OK-Minus experience. If I could go back in time, I would have never spend that $ 50 to go in there. Drinks: Nothing special, kind of pricey for club drinks! Music: Well they told us the reason they are charging entrance fee is that they have two EDM DJs in there… Some no name, terrible, absolutely terrible«EDM» DJs. Décor: Nice décor and the place has great potential, because of the location and the setup. People: Mainly older people… The crowed seemed nice though. Over all experience: Would not go back there again if there’s an entrance fee. No entrance fee??? sure. I like to get drinks and that’s how I like to spend my money at a club.

This club is very small and nice. It’s located right of Hollywood Blvd on a side street and it’s easy to find. The usual: Find free parking. The club inside is pretty simple. A room, that’s it. At the end of the room is a quite big DJ area. This nightclub has a modern vibe and enough tables and seats.

I’ve been here a bunch of times and this club brings in great DJs and they have one of the best sound systems(hence it’s name). As far as the crowd goes, Sound can attract some weird, sometimes douchey people. The reason I’m rating this place 2 stars is because no one ever answers the phone. I recently lost my license and credit card there, and a couple employees recommended that I call during certain hours, because they told me it’s not hopeless and they’ve been able to help other people get their lost credit cards back before. Just to make sure, I showed them the number I had on my phone for the club and they confirmed it was the correct one. I’ve been calling and calling and it will just ring until I get to their voicemail, where I’m told to press ‘2’ for Lost & Found and it goes nowhere. I’ve already gone out of my way to go down to the club with no luck, having another employee tell me to check back again in a couple days by calling the same number and there is still no one there to answer the phone. In conclusion: good music, good sound system, sometimes weird people, and their customer service as far as lost and found and contact goes needs A LOT of improvement. For all I know my license can be sitting there in their lost & found while I wait in line at the DMV to pay $ 30 to replace it.

First time &LASTTIME I will come here ! Ticket: $ 20 Parking: $ 10 around the corner Crowd: 1.Rude ! I was stepped on multiple times and on top of that I was elbowed in the face too, ugh not a good time. 2.People also do not allow you to get through even though you kindly ask to pass them ! Sidenote: The crowd were mostly mid 20s to 30. I think I was probably one of the youngest there. Music: Laidback Luke was playing tonight. I had high hopes since his set at insomniac countdown was good ! But his DJ set was so disappointing. Final Verdict: Never coming back!

This review is long time in coming. I have been going to this venue ever since it first opened a few years back. in that time i have seen the layout change many times. the sound system has changed as well. what has not changed however is one of the best venues that bridges the gap between a warehouse type experience and a nightclub. The venue itself is around 600 people capacity, which is right around the sweet spot for venues, except on sold out nights. even on sold out nights there are many places to get away from the dance floor, including a spacious patio. the overall feel of the space is dark with the right mix of lighting effects, to get that warehouse feel. the dance floor is spacious. The current sound system is a pioneer pro system, with speakers that ensure the music will keep you moving. One of the best qualities is the djs and acts that get booked to perform. The bookings by the club owner and staff trends towards underground and less mainstream djs. usually it is house, techno, bass, and the like. The LA times has said that the djs they bring are some of the best in all of LA clubs. They have had a whose who of famous djs and truely influential djs in the booth. Too many to name. People usually come to sound because they come to dance and actually listen to the dj spin, not take selfies all night. The venue also has weekly parties such as monday social( ), framework on fridays, etc. The best thing for you to do before coming is buy your tickets or reserve a table beforehand. What you do you not want to do is show up on a busy fri/sat night and expect to get in free and or cheaply especially when its a big name dj. A ticket is like buying a spot inside, this will save you headaches if the show sells out, or if there are a lot of people in the guestlist line. This brings me to the next subject, guestlist. Guestlist is never a sure thing, it is to help the venue gauge how many people might be coming. i have seen it many times where people expect there to be a list and there isnt due to it selling out. What else? There is a small restaurant in front by the entrance, the food is actually pretty good and freshly made. nothing sucks more then having to leave early when a friend is hungry and wants to go eat, now there is food onsite. The dress code is as usual LA casual. which means jeans and chucks are fine, but dont come in a jersey, hat or shorts, but you knew that right? the drinks are normal price compared to most other clubs in LA, which most people consider expensive. on special occasions, halloween for example the venue will bring out a crew to do free screen printed tee shirts for everyone there while supplies last. they dont do it all the time but its nice for a club to actually give you something free and not charge you. overall, one of my favorite clubs in all of LA. just the right size, solid bookings, great soundsystem and the little extra things they do that nobody else does. if i could i would give them 4.5 stars. see what you have been missing

Sound is by far the top tier club in its category in Los Angeles. I have been here countless times, usually because the venue is host to some of the best events in the city for dance music fans. The dress code varies to typical cocktail dress + heels/button down and nice slacks to LA «trendy,» which can mean they allow as casual as Converse and jeans. I’ve even seen more casual than that inside before, but I wouldn’t highly recommend coming any less put together than that. The line, though at some points(like any nightclub), can be chaotic, but is actually surprisingly quick and speedy in comparison to most clubs. If you’re on a list, it’s never too hard to(politely!) ask one of the guards to point you in the right direction. Inside, there are two bars — one in front, one in back. Bartenders are pretty attentive and nice, which is always a bonus in the crowded mayhem of trying to get maintain your buzz at da club. Sound’s sound system is super high quality — a big reason why the best names in the business come here to play. They also have a disco shark, which is always a bonus. Somewhat recently, they changed the orientation of the dance floor so that there’s more room to dance alongside the many bottle service tables lining the floor. There’s also another deck that has extra bottle service tables, but also some sneaky side corridor space where you’re allowed to escape the super packed dance floor and listen. The security guards are pretty unobtrusive, and let you be as long as you’re not being a beezy which is also a relief when it comes to nightclub service.

A beautifully designed nightclub with two bars; one at the front and one in the back of the club with the main dance floor in the center. With plenty of booths and tables lining the dance floor for you to book, every seat is a great seat, although you’ll probably be spending most of your time on the dance floor. The night I went, the music was an excellent blend of house music which had me dancing all night. The food is actually quite good and the bartenders are on point! Definitely my new favorite spot for night life!
