Managers a sweetheart. Assistant manager not so much… rude.

I came in the store today because I’ve been looking for new scandals with the wedge heels. They had some but they weren’t in a color I liked. I explained that to the worker and what I was looking for and she gave me a nasty attitude about it. She said «well we don’t have that here so…» I understand that which is why I explained what I was looking for in hopes she could show me something similar which is her job. I was hoping she would have enough customer service/​people skills to want and help me instead of being rude to me causing me to leave the store. I’ve worker retail for some time and that’s not how you interact with customers. I won’t be back to this location.

I went to this steve Madden in the Northridge mall last week and the people who work there were great they were very helpful. They were having an amazing sale with every thing half off! I got two pairs of really cute heals for $ 21 total! And even as busy as they were the sales man was very helpful. With getting me my shoe sizes and offering me other cute styles for the same price. I recommend this steve Madden great customer service!

I love their shoes but the people working there ONLY respect the customers who buy their shoes! I was there trying 3 pairs then finally decided to buy one, the girls there appeared to be super sweet. But they do not have a debit card reader so they ran it as credit, for some security reason, it didn’t went through. Then I called my bank, answered a ton of questions and the bank told me it needed 30 min to recover. Ok, I told the girls there that I would like to come the other day because I didn’t want to wait for half an hour (I had a long day work, and I’m tired) Then the one I was talking to threw a shitty face at me, and didn’t even talk back to me. So I’m not able to give you money right away you think you wasted time on me?!
I decided never go to this store again. And I bought the same pair today from the other store.
Because technically it was their job to have a debit card reader. Then I would definitely come back if they treated customers the same from the beginning to the end.

I love Steve Madden in general but the girls at this particular store are super sweet. I think it was the manager that helped me, I wish I caught her name, she was great. She checked sizes for me multiple times and even let me know about the 20% student discount! Nice place
