I am a sucker for taco trucks. We randomly found this truck and were pleasantly surprised! Al pastor and carne asada were delicious, cheap, fabulous service, and I did NOT get sick after. WIN!

Poem to Fernando: Fernando your tacos are so damn good You’re not in the best neighborhood But I forgive you because your food is the best I went to you, I don’t go to the rest Now that you’re back I will gladly drop a tear With Fernando around, there is nothing to fear. I don’t know where J.M. got their ridiculous prices for these tacos. Tacos are the regular $ 1.25. Maybe you blacked out? Aaaaanyways. I love this place. Burritos for $ 4.50? Sign me up. 2 meats in one burrito for no extra charge(most people don’t know they do this). Jawsome(Street Sharks Reference). The best food truck owner ever? 3 for 3! Fernando is the reason I give this place 5 stars. There was a horrible incident here a few months back that forced him to shut down, but he came back and he has not lost his touch. When me and my friends first started coming here Fernando was extremely friendly and welcoming. He would often times give us free sodas and one time he even gave me 2 free tacos because I had no cash. WHAAAT??? Now I can’t say that he’ll give out free things to everyone, but his willingness to go further beyond his duty is greatly appreciated. He has a ton of special items on his menu. The milanesa torta is amazing. His burgers are top notch. Grilled onions? I wish he gave me more. I cannot say enough about Fernando and his truck. I know the truck name as Fernando’s not Taqueria El Guerrero because he is the truck and he is what all late night eateries should be. Great prices, ridiculous nice hospitality and a smile that lights up the truck. You can really tell how much I love his food and company because this is easily the longest review I’ve ever written. Welcome back Fernando, we’ve missed you!

This is my favorite taco truck in the neighborhood… and trust me, there are TONS to choose from round these parts. After awhile, the fare from these coaches all begin to taste the same… but these guys are a stand-out! At any given night, around 1am — 3am, you can find me and my cronies gathered around this truck, scarfing down hot, cheap, comforting meals and laughing about whatever crazy shit happened to us that evening. My go-to favorites are: sopes(oh! You will be in heaven!), tacos, burritos, and their surprisingly awesome quesadillas. Any of their meats are great — my favorite is the pastor. And I really love how they go the extra mile and plop a little dollop of refried beans topped with grilled onions on every plate — this is the first truck I know of that does that! My boyfriend loves their lengua tacos — I’m not a fan in general, but he swears they’re awesome here so I’m just putting it out there for those that dig the gamey flavor and interesting texture of tongue. Dudes who work here are funny and good-natured, and they will even hook you up a little once they get to know you. So be good to them and enjoy one of the things that makes our city unique and rich — REALTACOS!

I think I got ripped off… $ 8.50 for 3 narly soft tacos –pollo, asada, and the al pastor ( ) They deserve the worst asada. It’s like chewing on the tapioca pearls in a Boba drink… I was hoping to actually get some meat, but just got tired of chewing and stopped half way… it was bland too. The al pastor was the most flavored but again it was fatty. The pollo was mediocre. The chef gave me samples of the carnitas. I should’ve ordered the carnitas. Oh well, I learned. They serve their marinated vegetables in a big pot –wowzer, it’s spicy!!! OK, $ 8.50($ 2.80 per taco) is not expensive but when you compare it to Leo’s Taco Truck, Taco Zone Truck, and King Taco where the food is much better and cheaper, I totally got jacked. It wouldn’t surprise me if they charged less to Latinos… It’s ashamed because the chef is nice and it’s nearby. Oh swell. Plenty of taco trucks around.
