So I’ve been trying to find an authentic place around my area for a while. A friend suggested that I try here. The best party about this place is that it’s walking distance from my apartment. I went on a cold night, so didn’t get to experience the outdoor seating but i’m definitely a fan. It’s a bit tight inside the restaurant, but i’m diggin the cozy feel of the restaurant. Very welcoming. The chips, guac, and salsa are a must try. I had the Carne Asada Quesadilla and my friend had the grilled chicken burrito. My plate also came with a side of beans and more guac. I was in guac heaven. Everything was fresh and hot. I’m looking forward to my next visit so I can try more items on the menu. Not sure what the parking situation is, but I wanted to avoid it as the lot looks pretty small. A MUSTTRY!

Came here for a lunch a few times when we were in the Melrose/Larchmont area. Not sure why Tere’s is always so packed for lunch, but I guess you can’t beat the prices. They also have a outdoor seating area, great if you have dogs or just want to enjoy the sun. I ordered 2 chicken tacos which came out with refried beans and rice. Decent portions and everything tasted fresh. Bland, but the salsa bar helped! Husband ordered the burrito like he always does and was happy with his order. Portions were decent — nobody went home feeling gross. Favorite thing about Tere’s is the unlimited salsa bar with the pickled carrots! Yum! Parking lot is tiny, so better find some street parking!

The reason for my rating is not because of the food but rather the way the owner was scolding her employees one at a time as I ate at the table next to them. The employees were being very respectful and professional about it but she kept making hand jesters and leaning into their face. She was very rude and ungrateful asking them to do more and when one mentioned they had been there for a long time with no raise she said I’m paying you enough it’s what the state requires me to pay you«minimum wage». It went on and on but point is I will never go back. I will not support that type of employee degradation!!!

This neighborhood Mexican café is my jam. They have such good, fresh food and their chips are delicious-thick and crunchy and totally home made. Their salsas and guacamole are great and the staff is so friendly and efficient. They also have a little patio in front so I can bring my little dog. I’ve been here many times and will keep coming back. Thanks, Tere’s!

Don’t know how this place gets so many positive reviews. It was bland & unappetizing. The«home made tortilla» was gross and didn’t even look cooked. Couldn’t even eat my tacos because of them. The nachos were pretty decent, but that was about it. All the bottled cokes were flat too. I’d rather go to taco bell.

Average tacos at around $ 2.50-$ 2.75 each. The meat vs toppings was 1:4. Small place but plenty of space inside and outside.

BEST Mexican food in town. From breakfast burritos to Enchiladas to Chicken Burritos to Tacos, Tere’s Mexican Grill kills it. I’m from L.A. so I know great Mexican food. If I were to RECOMMEND one place in all of L.A. Tere’s is it. A MUSTTRY.

This is now one of my favorite places. Everything is delicious — everything. The torta is to die for. Fish tacos are fantastic. Service and cleanliness is top notch.

Homemade, authentic, muy rico! The pozole on Saturdays is excellent, and whatever I get, I always order a side of hot homemade corn tortillas.

Great food and great fast service! Location is very small indoors but more seating outdoors. Had the carne asada burrito and meat had good flavor. The beans were good too! Salsa bar was okay.

I was having a really bad day and all I was craving some cheap comfort food. Unilocaled a few places and decided upon this place. The parking is horrible. Very few parking spots so you have to street meter park. We ordered chips and guacamole appetizer, chicken enchilada, chicken tinga burrito and two drinks. Total came out to be a little over 28 $ The appetizer was SOGOOD! The chips were extremely crunchy and not greasy at all. They give you a large portion of freshly made guacamole(a little bit chunky just the way I like it ^_^) Chicken tinga burrito was tender, juicy and flavorful. My burrito was leaking(lol) a bit but instead of greasy oil it was the juice from the chicken! Plus they heat up the tortilla before wrapping the burrito. Really enjoy the texture of a slightly crunchy tortilla. I hate places that just wrap your burrito with soft tortilla. Enchiladas were tasty. I ordered half green and red sauce. They have one of the tastiest green sauces I have ever tried. It has a good tang and is ridiculously flavorful. Next time I’m ordering all green sauce. The enchiladas came with rice and beans which were also tasty and didn’t just taste like a greasy mess. There’s a worker that is constantly cleaning the salsa bar, delivering your food, and picking up plates. I felt like I was at an actual«sit down» restaurant. I would have to say this is one of the tastiest Mexican places I have tried in LA.

It has been a long time coming, but I finally made it here; and boy am I happy I did! Simple set up. Park, walk in, come up to the counter and after reading from a faded, barely comprehensible white board menu along with additions 8×11 inch sheets of paper you order your meal. Then you get a number, pick up your choice of salsas or pickings, and sit down with the ever-so-present triangular order number. For me, or rather us, a friend of mine joined in the festivities, a meal meant fresh Guac and Chips, Pico de Gallo, wet Chicken Tinga Burrito, and a wet Grilled Chicken Burrito. Oh, and two drink from a self served refrigerator. I gotta say, if this place served beer I would be one star happier. The chips and Guac were very good. Fresh avocados mashed just right while keeping a few dices intact and seasoned with just the right amount of lime and salt. Of course tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and all the usual suspects. The chips were perfectly fired to a super satisfying crunch one would want from a puffy tortilla chip and grease-free. Pico de Gallo did not blow me away, but offered a nice fresh addition to the whole meal. Although I’ll probably skip it next time around. When the burritos were brought out to us, they looked spectacular! An almost angelic halo appeared atop of each perfectly wrapped package which was covered with a bright orange sauce. As fine dove in, the flavors sang on our tastebuds. The chickens was perfectly cooked to a supple texture and paired splendidly with the chipotle spices, rice, beans, ebiquetes shredded lettuce, and crema. The real challenge was finishing the entire behemoth and still being able to walk back to the car without falling over. ¡Muy, muy bien!

One of me and my boyfriend’s favorite restaurants to eat in the neighborhood. The seating is very homey and comfortable. Super clean, great decorations. Inside and outside. The food is amazing! Try the chicken mole, carne asada nachos, and machaca burrito. Everything tastes very authentic and well-cooked. Nothing is thrown together and it shows when you bite into your food. Their fresh salsa and marinated vegetables bar is also delicious. I’ve never been disappointed :)

Only because I can’t leave zero stars. Absolutely disgusting. We are in Los Angeles! I can get better Mexican food a block away. I have no idea why they have such high ratings. Enchiladas are disgusting, I threw them away. Rice is made from a box mix or at least it taste like it. Chips are good but cheese is cold and gross. You can get better Mexican food from trader joes and better food from seven eleven. DONOTWASTEYOURTIMEORMONEYATTHISTERRIBLERESTAURANT.

I’m from San Diego and finding great Mexican food in LA with the same type of style is difficult, but this place hits it right on the head when it comes to carne asada. It’s hard to up the game when it comes to carne asada burritos, but Tere’s really answers the call. The carne asada is already on point, but then it’s coupled with refried beans, rice, guac, sour cream, and cheese(all standard in the burrito). This raises the bar and adds other players to the carne asada burrito team that really work in unison. The chicken tinga taco is also a spice carnival in the mouth, yes please. Salsa bar is also on point, and parking is not unbearable. Great patio out front if the day is not sweaty hot. Oh and the burrito comes neatly wrapped and cut in half! Brilliant to really get the right angle on salsa application in the middle of the burrito.

Tere’s is my new favorite Mexican spot on the east side of town. I don’t know how it took me so long to find it. The burritos are superb. The meat is tender and juicy, the rice and beans cooked perfectly and the guacamole and sour cream are next level. I don’t even like sour cream and for some reason the mix of all the ingredients in this burrito makes it perfect. I recommend ordering chips and guac on the side as well. I believe its only around $ 3.50 and you get a generous portion of some of the best guac in town. Parking is a bit tricky as there’s a small lot for the shopping mall and the meters out front have odd hours.

«Guaca MOLAY!» is something you will hear yelled out quit often if you come to Tere’s. The place is a fun Mexican pick up and eat joint that provides delicious quality food at a very good price. Try the chicken burrito or the enchiladas. They are phenominal! While you wait for your order you must order the«Guaca Molay and Cheeps». 2nd best Guac in Los Angeles after El Coyote. Enjoy the food, horchata and loosen your belt. This place is a gem. Enjoy!

The best ceviche though it’s only served on Friday and Saturday served homemade tortilla chips and their guacamole is really good too. An excellent salsa bar. Terrific chicken soup. Super casual great for take out.

I had the beef enchiladas, while my co-workers had the chicken and cheese enchiladas. The chicken had the green sauce while the beef had the red sauce. I like the green sauce better, but I will order the cheese enchilada next time since it’s very creamy. The chips are also really good. Crispy and not oily. I would come back to try more stuff from the menu. I tried their flan, but it’s not as creamy as the other flans that I have tasted.

Time for an update! Over the years this place has turned into my favorite spot in the area. Their food is great, it’s always been and there is a reason this place is always slammed! The guys that work there are always cool and right on top of things Love all of their burritos but my personal favorite is the chile relleno burrito. If you havent had the time, you need to check this place out!
