The Clubhouse

Imagine all the nerds in high school are popular. And if you don’t take improv class, you won’t know about this place or the clique.
I went on a Sunday night and it was the perfect nightcap to my week. The Murge is everything.
It’s been called the «craziest improv show» by LA Weekly. I have to admit, its a lot more creative than any UCB or Second City show I’ve been to.
I can’t wait to go back! Make sure you donate well!

Way too much fun. Be sure your face is attached really well because by the time the show is over ‘The Lady Brigade’ group we just saw with 5 women and 1 guy made us almost pee our pants. Thanks for a great evening. We’ll be back.

Fun underground improv joint. Lots of opportunities here– tons of JAMS to attend, shows to submit to, free/​cheap shows to watch, and a GIANT parking lot (cause it’s in the same complex as a supermarket).

One of the most intimate venues in the indie comedy scene. This place outgrew it’s original venue on Vine & Santa Monica.
Lots of legendary shows to see and musical comedy on Saturday nights!

Absolutely fantastic. Why? Because indie improv baby! Underground improv is all over LA but many people don’t know it because the first rule of indie improv is you do not talk about indie improv!
And yet here I am talking about it! I also love it because there is a jam most nights of the week so for you comedians and improvisers like myself it’s a fantastic supplemental resource to work on your improv when not in class at your various comedy schools
