$ 6 for the«Malibu Dream non-coffee, no sugar added, ice-blended smoothie» which is really just half a bottle of Naked Juice Strawberry Banana Smoothie + half a cup of ice + heaping scoop of vanilla powder WITHSUGAR. Fuck you, too, Coffee Bean. I’ll get my own Naked Juice smoothie.

This is where it all began for me. I was a desperate New York City girl living in Hawaii missing Dunkin Donuts, and then my husband and I took a vacation to California. On our way back from our lovely trip as I walked around the airport looking for something to snack on, I stumbled upon The Coffee Bean. I was like mmm what’s this, it smells so good, and the line must be so long because it’s good. So I got on the line and got a caramel iced latte. I took the first sip and fell in love. I saw hearts, butterflies, and flying cups of coffee. Dunkin Donuts who? What’s that? Lol. As soon as I finished my heaven sent drink I searched for the coffee Bean in Hawaii, and guess what there were a bunch of locations here. And now I’m a regular customer who loves The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, it was love at first sight

Never not a queue. Ever. It could be 2am and the terminal could be empty and there’d be people lining up here to get bizzay with some giant bucket-sized coffees too big for human consumption, although God bless ‘em it doesn’t stop us from trying. They have bear claws and a jalapeño cheese bagel that I monstered, just monstered, after getting off a flight all thin and malnourished because I’d slept through the breakfast service. With that said, it’s a port in the shitstorm of LAX and I’ll be back many times.

This coffee bean is okay, but not that there prices are way more than your regular sandwiches. And of course, they are always busy. A regular sandwich that is usually $ 5.95 was $ 7.00 here. Ended spending about $ 50 here…

I love coffee bean coffee, especially their dark chocolate latte. I arrived as soon as they opened right before my flight. Service was really quick despite it the line of people forming pretty quickly.

Prepared sandwich was bland and not heated all the way through. Looked at ingredients and saw the eggs were from powder… on an egg sandwich? Come on. Coffee was bland, but maybe I’m spoiled from my Aeropress…

Not feeling this location. Quick to take your order, very slow to make it. They were out of the advertised almond coconut milk, and I stopped by around noon. Stock better. Not a lot of eye contact with the baristas, and my drink tasted something close to chalky. But alas, it is coffee and it is coffee that isn’t Starbucks.

It’s always a hit or miss when I order a drink at this location. They really need to start measuring their drinks instead of guessing or «eyeing» them. What a disappointment considering that the airport prices are already so damn expensive. Also, beware they don’t always open @5:00 am like they claim, they usually open a little bit later. Lines always get long & the employees aren’t too friendly.

Not what you expect from the usually wonderful Coffee Bean. The staff tries to be friendly and makes an effort, but the lines are always out the door and slow-moving, the service usually slow and inconsistent. Operating an airport espresso concession is different than a sleepy neighborhood store. I wish that CBTL management would take the effort to make the experience at this airport store one that enhances their brand. As it stands, this shop encourages first-timers to look for an alternative brand and disappoints CBTL regulars.

The one at united airlines terminal 7 was lacking. Only had 2 types of bagels(plain and everything). Only had 2 flavored oatmeals(not plain). And they don’t do the Coffee Bean Rewards.

If you have to leave off Terminal 6 in LAX, you take US Airways, your choices are very limited in terms of food. They’re renovating this terminal(which is fine), but right now, the situation is hard on travelers. You have Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf or Ruby’s Diner(which I don’t like). We wanted some breakfast and we were looking for the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, well, that wasn’t easy to find. We had to ask some people at our gate where the coffee shop is. Well, behind some plastic curtains. This location is too small and cramped for the needs of this terminal and the number of people passing by. It’s hard to move, to get to the tables, to enjoy anything. They need to expand this place, make it bigger, so people can move with their luggage, go sit at one of the two tables(they need more), get sugar or whatever at the small counter without getting in others people’s way. The selection is fine, your usual Coffee Bean, decent coffee and pastry(got an OK chocolate croissant). Something to eat for breakfast or to snack on later(they have packaged food if you need to grab some, nothing great or super fresh, but that’s all hist terminal offers). It is what it is.

Very busy location near Delta terminal gate 50… fast and efficient as required by this location. Good selection of things to grab and take on your flight with you. No seating here — it’s just meant for you to rush in, grab your necessary«go juice» and head to your gate. Sometimes long lines but they move pretty quickly.

Certainly not Starbucks Dunkin or Barnie’s. Service was just ok. They forgot to give me my croissant and then they didn’t even heat it. The Iced Blend not very good, either. Better quality and service at Farmers Market coffee counter.

Painfully slow, which sucks when you consider most people are trying to grab something before getting on a plane and don’t have a great deal of wiggle room. As far as grabbing a quick bite for the plane ride? It boggles the mind(IMO) why there would be an entire case of egg salad and TUNA salad sandwiches, and no chicken salad. Tuna salad? Really? Do you want to be on a plan and have to smell that? SMH

Super slow service since it’s the only coffee place in the airport(in the terminal). The service is just ok and the space is much too tiny to accommodate all orders.

Located in terminal 6 near Alaska Airlines. The line was quite long but then again the service isn’t quick like Starbucks, resulting in a line that blocks the condiments counter. BEVERAGE: Got 2 iced coffees. Instead of them mixing in the cream and sugar while its being made, they don’t. You have to do everything at the condiments counter. Once I got there, the half & half canister was empty. I had to go back to the main counter to get it refilled then head back. All in all it took about 10 minutes. At least the coffee tasted good! SERVICE: Everyone was friendly and not rushed. OVERALL: If there was a Starbucks or McD’s nearby I’d bet they’d be less busy. They’re opening a store soon in Wailuku, HI(Maui’s only second location). We’ll see how they fare back home.

Yes, the line is long, REALLY long, long enough to start reading all of the one and two star reviews referencing the poor service given(or not given) by employees with even poorer attitudes. I had to get up at 3:15 am this morning to catch the 5:00 am Bakersfield Airport Bus to LAX and there was no time to get coffee before I boarded. This is exactly what I hate about trying to patronize businesses in busy airports… Do they realize I could snap at any moment? But, wait… all the barristas appear to be smiling and joking with the customers this morning. Hmmm… could be a fluke. And then a customer returns to the store with his coffee in hand asking if anybody has seen his phone lying around anywhere. He last had it while he was ordering… One of the barristas immediately smiles and suggests«You can call it and we’ll all listen for the ring.» Another customer in line, a total stranger, hands him his own cellphone and we all listen intently. You could have heard a pin drop… and then we all heard it. There it is, right next to the register, sitting in the display with the snacks… VICTORY. Everybody laughs a relieved sort of laugh, this traveller will not be stranded phoneless. The feeling of camaraderie persists as each of us approaches the barristas, their cheery smiles and exhortations to «Have a nice day» seem genuine enough. THe line may be long, but the barristas are all working hard to process all of us while taking the time to make a personal connection so that we feel less like cattle. Have things changed significantly since all those negative reviews?(I’m certainly not questioning their veracity) or I have I arrived at the perfect moment to be party to a fortuitous anomaly? Does it really matter? I have a rather large dark chocolate latte in my hand, delivered to me less than 3 minutes after I placed my order, so I’M HAPPY. THEY appear to be happy(or at least faking it superbly) and the other customers around me who are receiving their caffeinated cups of heaven in a similarly fast manner are happy. I’m feeling the love.

Four stars for the Coffee Bean at the LAX Airport! The staff is outstanding! I have to give the employees credit — they start work EARLY, and they are always happy and full of morning cheer! The coffee was served super hot and it was brewed fresh! Great stuff!

This is my Goto place in Terminal 6 when I’m traveling. They are super friendly and make you feel like they know you. They have people manning all areas during peaks to keep the line moving. Delays are because of slow customers not reading and being ready… Typical LAX people. But if you want a good place… head there. They have a RUBY’s next door and a Monet’s Sandwich shop across the way. The entire terminal is under construction, so there may be more coming!
