Great place, awesome crowd, excellent service, and great drinks. By far my favorite place I went on my trip to LA

I reserved the second floor for an alumni event and Nick was very helpful and clear. The second floor is an awesome location for a mixer and was exactly what I was looking for. It has a beautiful view of the chandeliers and the other diners, along with comfortable couch, tables, chairs and cool décor. Will definitely use this venue again. In regards to food, they don’t let you do happy hour when you reserve upstairs so it can get pricey. The magarita basal pizza was alright(crust kind of stale like), garlic fries were huge and amazing to share + taste, and Firestone is yummy as always.

Just popped in after work for a quick bite and went with the MAC(Mac & Cheese). Solid quality, quick delivery, and a reasonable price! Would recommend to come during happy hour with friends/colleagues!

I came here for a late night happy hour with a friend. Normally this place is kind of pricey, but for happy hour the place was decently-priced! I got the goat cheese flatbread, which was okay. It was good but super light and really small for something that was 6.75. The«Gentlemen’s tea» was okay. It was basically a sweet-tea vodka with mint, but honestly the sweet tea cocktails I make at home are better. This had a chai/masala aftertaste which was just odd. We also got the brownie with ice cream, it was around $ 8 but half off with a Unilocal check in! This was really good. The brownie was topped with caramel sauce and nuts with a light vanilla bean ice cream. This was my favorite part of the meal. Overall, the place was okay. It’s one of the few places in westwood with late-night happy hour and stays open, so I may go here again, but only as a last option. If I did go, I would go on Monday though for $ 5.50 margaritas all day or Wednesdays when its 50% off all wines.

This place takes reservations! I think that’s probably the only good aspect about this restaurant.(Just kidding) The food is subpar and I know for a fact that there’s better places in Westwood than here. To start off, I came here with a group of friends for a birthday and it was at night. I didn’t expect that there would be such dim lighting. I guess that’s the setting that they were going for. It would’ve been fine if I had came for a date or something. But, to celebrate someone’s birth? No. I’m trying to have conversations with everyone at the table, but I can’t even see their face. For the food, I ordered a salad and their wings. It tasted average and it was a lot more expensive than what I would’ve paid for it. However, I probably should’ve tried one of their sandwiches or something else. The waitstaff was incredibly nice and helpful because they had helped us with our reservations and gave us plates for cake and what not. I also like how their happy hours are a lot more creative than any other happy hours that I’ve heard of. For example, they had their Tinder Tuesdays, where you had to bring a date from Tinder or something for a discount on the drinks. I thought it was hilarious and pretty creative. I’m not sure if they still had that though. Anyway, I would probably only come back and try another one of their dishes(hopefully, it would taste better) and probably come during their happy hours.

Good Happy Hour offerings as far as drinks are concerned. Aside from the tacos, I’d stay away from any of the food options. Their regular menu has a lot of options that are better tasting. Their pizza has a cracker crust, which I’m not a fan of. But their Happy Hour runs twice a day, including weekends. The bar is walking distance to the UCLA campus so that means Thursday — Saturday nights are poppin. I’m temporarily housed in an apartment complex adjacent to the bar so it gets a little loud at closing time. The restaurant offers two floors and the bar has about 20 seats so there’s plenty of room for your large group. Unfortunately there is no outdoor seating in front. I’m not sure if there’s anything upstairs as far as al fresco dining is concerned. It’s your best late night option in the UCLA area…

Horrible! I went in for a friends happy hour. I was having a great time until the bartender lost my card. I hand you my card to close my tab and then you somehow lose it between where I was standing and the 10ft. To the cash register. I still had to pay for my drinks after them losing it. All they could do is apologize and look on the ground for the card they had lost. Had to cancel my card and now have to wait for a replacement. Worst experience I’ve had. I still can’t believe it’s possible to lose a card within a minute. They should be more responsible!

The Glendon Bar and Kitchen is hands down the best restaurant in Westwood. Possibly in all of West Beverly Hills. The owner, a handsome man with a smile that could make the pope tear, is extremely hospitable and caring to each customer who enters the door. When You’re Here, You’re Family. 10⁄10

Been here several times. At the beginning(several months ago) it was a great cocktail/happy hour spot! It was clean, the drinks were tasty, and the happy hour food was great for the price… During the last couple of times, especially last week, it’s been very different… All the tables were dirty, it was hard to find even a spot to sit! There were 3 waitresses working, but the bartender ended up being hour waiter, and for every order we had to resort to leaving our seats and going to the bar… She said«The Bar tender will take care of you», plus the food has gotten worse as well… It will take a lot for me to step foot in this place again! Shame… Hopefully they turn it around!

I was livid last night. The place was busy but had two bartenders with about 50 people. This should easily manageable. I asked for their special Gentlemen’s Tea, which is delicious. The bartender said they were too busy to make it and we’ll and beer only. I asked for a beer and he offered to make a whiskey sour. I was happy with that. Instead he gave me two whiskey waters. If you offer it and the customer says the replacement is fine, give the customer the replacement drink instead of something not asked or agreed upon. Bottom line, horrible service and bad attitude. I do like the cocktails here, which is why I come back. I’m now considering not to because of how disrespectful the bartender was.

Came here yesterday after work with a bunch of coworkers. It’s a pretty chill place to come and have drinks. We didn’t order any food because we were on our way to dinner but the drinks were great. Made well and strong. The inside was nice too. Definitely need to come back to this place and check it their food items. Service was great and the bartender was informative and patient.

I work in the area and come to this place often after work to grab a drink. The drinks are moderately priced, and they have a great late night happy hour on food. While I think their food is pretty good,(nothing you can’t find elsewhere) I definitely recommend their desserts. ESPECIALLY the brownie with ice cream on top. It is simply to die for! They have a pretty good selection of beers on tap and the staff is friendly. This isn’t really a lounge type of place where you can dance and mingle with others, but if you’re looking for a nice place to relax and have some drinks, the Glendon is a good option because the drinks are well-priced and the ambiance is classy, so you don’t have to go to dive bars to get wasted(nothing wrong with dive bars, but this is definitely not one). My only qualm about this place is that sometimes it closes before their business hours on Unilocal so I would recommend calling before heading here too late because you may just find it to be closed.

There aren’t high expectations when it comes to bars near the UCLA campus, but this place definitely exceeded my expectations! It’s a very cozy bar with dim lighting and great décor inside. It’s very open with high ceilings and cute chandeliers throughout the restaurant. It looks like there is a second floor loft area for more diners. So, there was a group of about 15 of us for my friend’s birthday. Our waitress was amazing! She got all of our orders and made sure we had water or asked if we needed anything. I shared the Caprese Basil pizza with my friend and got the root beer. The root beer was pretty good, kind of sweet, but it definitely tasted like the soda rather than alcoholic. The pizza was okay, the crust was pretty tasty and crunchy. I would have preferred more sauce but otherwise, the mozzarella was yummy. The best part of this restaurant is definitely the service. They even lit up the candles for the birthday cake(that one of my friend’s friend brought) and brought it out. It was such a cute surprise and they brought more plates and utensils for us to eat the birthday cake. At the end, the waitress actually brought out separate bills for each of our meals and drinks. I was so floored because the waitress went waaaay out of her way to remember all of our meals and drinks and to separate it in individual bills. I really appreciated the effort! She has great memory! Lastly, for parking, there is street parking which is free after 8pm and also nearby parking lots like the Target and Trader Joe ones. I parked in the Target parking lot and luckily the stick was broken so I parked without a ticket and didn’t have to validate it. Glendon was a great restaurant to host the birthday party, I would recommend for big parties and group dinners!

Myself and my coworkers came here for lunch We came in at 11:45 and the this restaurant is nice and hipster. They have 2 people working during lunch. Which is not good because a lot of people come for lunch. One of the waiters is a guy who had attitude I can’t ask for lemon without his sassy! We waited an hour and something minutes. The cooks took to long to make our meals but it’s not that it’s their service they don’t check how we’re doing they don’t even give us refills they look the other way so we won’t bother them. I get it. It can get busy but don’t put 2 people to work at least 3. I give this place 3 stars because of the food it had flavor. But the service they need to work on it.

I’m writing this review standing in their upper private room. Didn’t even know they had one. My poor friend rented it for her birthday and disappointment is an understatement. The service is terrible. I had to BEG not only for water but also for water glasses which were sparse. Also it’s a private party. They paid for special service. So if a guy wants a beer, the beer should be ordered and brought to him upstairs and not have to run downstairs to get it right? It’s not an outlandish demand. They also picked this spot because they were promised that they would put the football game on but the TV also didn’t work and then they tell my friend she could bring an hdmi cable to *try* and make it work. Ummm something you could have mentioned before she arrived at the venue. A plus was their feta and kale flatbread and their brownies with caramel. You can skip the salmon appetizer it was gross. But the worst of all was hearing the speakers blow out every 10 min making them run downstairs each time. Their solution? Put on spa music… HUH? So in a nutshell skip this place for a private party. They fall waaaay too short.

Super cool ambiance with the incandescent mood lighting and beautifully rustic tables. But service? Non existent. We walked by and saw the board advertising late night 10-til-midnight happy hour an went in as it was 10pm. It was a packed house on a Friday night a few weeks ago and we luckily found a small hightop table by the bar. We waited probably ten to fifteen minutes before we gave up and my friend went to the bar to get drinks. We got a menu from another guest. $ 6HH wine and cheap beer or cocktails– pretty sweet deal in pricey Westwood Village. And a great place for a long private chat because no server ever approached us the rest of the night.

Came here for happy hour(yay for the good time frames: 4−7pm, 10-midnight) on a Sunday and once again fell in love with the food! The chicken barbie flatbread and Belgain frites were amazing for the price and the server was really attentive. My well whiskey drink(which I asked for neat and he still honored the hh price) was also great for the price and I was soooo happy! You can double it for only $ 2 more. This is hands down my favorite happy hour place in Westwood. Plan to see me more!

I’ve only been to the Glendon Bar & Kitchen one time prior to this second visit, so keep that in mind as you read my updated review. My first experience was great! The restaurant had reserved tons of table space for our large group, which mainly included my supervisors and awesome colleagues(15+ people). Someone’s drink even accidentally spilled, and the server was nice enough to fill the glass up again with no charge. Oh, and after writing that first review, the owner even commented that next time, I could try their banana bourbon bread pudding on the house — By the way, we did and it was fantastic! Anyway, I recently came here again this past week after an incredibly draining day at work and was looking forward to a similar experience. Our server, Marina, was patient with me as I scoured the menu for something pescatarian friendly, and I ended up ordering the Ahi tartare — it was soooo good! My friend ordered a burger — It was«okay». No complaints about the food or our lovely server, but I can’t write this review without mentioning one thing that really bugged me. I was looking forward to trying their Bloody Bastard again, since this was the drink I enjoyed on my initial visit; however, when it was brought out, it was in a significantly smaller glass than I remembered. I clarified with our server to see if there had been some confusion about my drink. She just said that the bartender was new and asked to take the drink back to clear things up. A few seconds later, someone else approached the table(he may have been the manager). He had brought the same small drink back, and told me that they changed the sizes about 6 months ago, but that it had the same alcohol content. I didn’t want to make a fuss so I said, «okay, thank you» and he left. No complaints about the drink itself, but if the customer is asking for a modification of some sort, I don’t think that’s the best way to approach it. I just wanted my drink to last through my meal is all… My friend ended up making some witty comment about how I’m still in the preoperational stage of development, referring to Piage’s conservation theory, and we just ended up laughing it off.
