The Habit Burger Grill

The habit can become a habit! Best burger I had in a longtime. The restaurant is clean and restrooms. The food was fantastic and the burger was hot. Service was perfect! After eating the staff removed my tray GREAT JOB! Excellent! Excellent! Service!

Love the energy when I walk in. Always so clean and. Staff are so friendly and a shot out to Samuel that guys always has a smile on his face and he is really nice and I just had to write this to share on the fact that this is a great place to eat. A really great team in there thanks Sam

Yup! Their Char burgers have shrunken down to the same size as a In and Out Burger.
I clearly remember the size of my first Habit burger 3 years ago in Camarillo and they were a good size burger for the price. Now the burgers are Jr burgers.
Only gave 2 stars because they still taste great. But quantity is no longer there. Another company cutting down on quantity in order to boost profits.
I’m disappointed and bummed that The Habit has done this.
I am now breaking this Habit.

It is currently 3:30 pm here in the beautiful city of Los Angeles. One thing that always hits the spot on a sunny day is the Vanilla Shake from The Habit. I’ve tried several establishments to test the quality, texture and flavor of the long coveted perfect vanilla shake, and I would say that the Habit has nailed it.
Teriyaki Char burger is flavorful and sweet.
The cashier always seems to be rather monotonous, my only suggestion is to try to be more human. I’ll be back.

The Grilled chicken & salad ever yummy!!!
Generous amount of chicken ever tender and best of all not over cooked. Plus full plate full of fresh salad including cucumbers.
To top it all the very lively environment & friendly workers. Highly recommended:-)))

Samuel at The Habit, should train many in the food-​industry. His customer-​savviness is a habit and he holds a secret to superior-​customer servicing. He and his pleasant smile, are reasons enough to return to this location.
Then again, The Habit is home to the
CHARBURGER, the main reason to visit any Habit. It is served with (I hold the) mayonnaise, pickle, fresh tomato, lettuce, and caramelized onions on a toasted bun. It is not «fast food» but instead 100% fresh ground beef char-​grilled over an open flame, not a frozen patty.
Do Respect the burger as they promote.
But certainly Request The Habit’s Super Food Salad — a hand-​filleted, marinated chicken breast, perfectly chargrilled and sliced, served over tender baby kale, tri-​colored quinoa, sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots and sprinkled with feta cheese. Some dried cranberries supply a touch of sweetness and slivered almonds add crunch. It’s tossed in a zesty house-​made kale pesto dressing. It’s healthy, filling, and really good.
But not-​as-​good as Samuel’s good-​nature, good-​humor, and good-​looks. And his genuinely good service skills.
I choose The Habit over and out, In-​N-​Out.

The best thing thats happened to Highland Park! Have had just about everything on the menu (not all at once lol) and its always fresh and delicious. Staff always so courteous which for me is always the game changer.

Pro– plenty of parking near the Von’s. Service was great and fast, the guy took my order with no hassle and the manager offered to accommodate and help with seating for my two little kids. He saw that we had issues and offered a helping hand! He also helped us throw away our trash on our trays since our hands were full, talk about going the extra mile! The food was really good too, ordered a double char and grilled chicken Cesar salad! Lemonade with cucumber was average, needed to water it down a bit.

Love this burger joint! If u want a good burger… try habit for lunch snack or dinner. you won’t get disappointed… so many to choose from. they have grilled chicken sandwich and salad .and my favorite .the onions rings they are awesome!!!

Love the burgers here but had a bad experience recently.
Lady with red hair who gave our food was very rude. She didn’t go through the order and when I went to grab our bags (3 bags) I asked her if the small bag next to our bags was ours too? She snatched it away like I was going to steal it. Then she looked past us to the next order. Not what you’re used to from Habit service.

Get the Santa Barbara burger – an item on the secret menu that swaps the buns for sourdough and tops with avocado. Actually quite good.

First time ever and it was yum! Char burger had the promised taste of ‘char’ and they even have my favorite condiment (A-​1 sauce) to use to dip your burger, fries, or onion rings. Btw, the real star of the day was the onion rings. Golden brown, thick crunchy crust, and sweet onion inside. Whether you took a bite or broke one in half to share — you did not end up with one hand full of empty batter shell and the other a long naked onion strand — IT STAYED INTACT ;D
Plenty of parking, and staff is super friendly and professional. Overheard what I assumed was the manager chastising a burger dude for attempting to put sub par lettuce on a charburger. Good to know he’s looking out for us ;)

The Steak sandwich is superb here! Been here many times. gotta say all food is always fresh. The food is made to order and delish! Great staff, great customer service which is necessary for customers to revisit the establishment. Five stars! Great job!

I love The Habit it’s so delicious. I always get the Teriyaki Char it is delicious hamburger with grilled pineapple. It has that sweet sour taste going on. Best burger there in my opinion. I recently tried the «new» chicken caprese chicken sandwich and it was a Huge disappointment…
:(Even though it comes loaded with grilled chicken, mozzarella cheese, pesto and the works lettuce tomato mayonnaise it was super bland for my personal taste. I definitely do not recommend that sandwich. Other than that I love the onion rings, sweet potato fries,& regular fries.

I’m always on the market for the «next» burger joint. My colleague mentioned this place, right by the 134 freeway Figueroa exit, next to the Vons. Nice and modern interior, you get in line and place your order. The cashier gives you your receipt and a square looking pager, with L.E.D. lights that alert you when the order is ready. There’s a serious team working in the kitchen! I’ve counted 5 – 6 cooks, 2 expeditors, and 2 people handing you the ready orders. It looks like a military exercise in formation. These guys are highly efficient! My «Double Char» was a simple delicacy, comprised of two patty, Swiss cheese, lettuce, pickles, and tomatoes. For just $ 4.10! The beef was nicely cooked with just the right amount of seasoning. The French Fries were fat and chunky, just the way I like them, for $ 1.95
Move over In & Out Burger, this place is taking over!

I love The Habit. This one is especially awesome because it’s new, and you kinda have to know where it is, so there aren’t too many folks in line (like Glendale or Burbank) it’s Smack dab in between HLP, Eagle Rock and Pasadena right off the 134 (exit Fig)
The cheeseburger is your best bet. It’s way better than in n out (I said it). The fries are pretty meh, but I just don’t really like fries so if you want em you should get em. I just go for the a la carte cuz it’s cheaper! 7.50 for two cheeseburgers — you can’t go wrong!
The service is also really great. The people who work there seem to really enjoy the job.

Tasty burgers! They really do «respect the burger.» The interior is bright and clean. You get in line, look at the menu, and order. The friendly staff will give you a pager, which will let you know when your order is ready. I always manage to get a seat even though it’s busy.
Pro-​tip: If you’re going to order a burger & fries, just order a combo (burger, fries, & drink). The combo tends to be cheaper!
The food: I love the BBQ bacon burger. They do not shy away from giving you lots of bacon. The fries and the onion rings are both great. Make sure to ask for ranch to dip them in.

Okay now I can officially say that The Habit’s burgers are pretty awesome. Two weeks ago I finally had lunch here again and tried their Mushroom Char burger and it was pretty darn good — almost the best — I would say probably third best burger I’ve had so far — and of course their fries were the bomb as well.
My boy had their Fresh Albacore Tuna sandwich — which was pretty good but I rather have my burger. I do like how they have a few choices for bread if you order the sandwiches and they are quite filling.
It was definitely a very satisfying meal. The service was good and the place was clean and well kept — no dirty tables or chairs and they have nice outside seating as well.

Habit burger location that just opened up in eagle rock’s Von’s shopping plaza has this area smelling like grilled beef!
I come here often because fiancé loves their burgers! I’ve gotten their tuna sandwich as well as their salads and both are solid. Quality is definitely better than a fast food joint! The service is very friendly here and everything is fairly clean. Parking always available in the plaza. Plenty of outdoor seating avaliable too.

Had the double cheeseburger on sourdough and it was delicious, every bite was just like the first one. Cheese and meat, meat and cheese, so yummy.
Onion rings were good as well but after a while a bit salty.
Indoor seating and outdoor seating, staff is on point here, very helpful in clearing your plates and attentive if you need extra condiments.
Will return, glad there is one less then 10 minutes away from me.
