A bit less than mediocre, some of the fruits they use seemed like it’s just poured out of a can(in both appearance and flavor, the taste of high fructose corn syrup… Blah). The food we received was also substantially underwhelming, especially for almost $ 7 a sandwich. But, at the least, the worker was really nice! You’re in LA… There’s soooooooooo much better food elsewhere for comparable prices

I used to work in downtown over 10 years ago and would always enjoy their sandwiches, soups and salads at least once a week. Now that I only occasionally visit downtown for business, I make it a point to visit here for lunch whenever I can! I know that some people here say it’s random and a bit hard to find in the hotel but I like that it is a hidden gem and the food court is nice and relaxing usually(and it’s not as crowded as other downtown spots during the lunch hour) It’s funny because the menu has not changed a single bit in over 10 years and it is exactly how I remember it, and the same goes for the food — always fresh and tasty! Salads are definitely hearty and made to order right in front of you(I think they still throw in a bread roll as well). I used to also really love their pre-made pasta salads but I have not seen those the last times I’ve been there. Bottom line it that it’s nothing fancy but the food is always very fresh and tasty like I mentioned! Moderately priced as well, being as so many other downtown spots now charge an arm and a leg for a sandwich or salad these days.

After a long day of travel, I was excited to find out via Unilocal that there was essentially a food court within the Westin, where I was staying. A healthy option sounded good, and I was happy to see that Health Winner was open late. I purchased a salad with chicken, avocado, and mandarin oranges and some mixed fruit. The meal did the trick of offering a convenient dinner, but I found the food to be just OK. The food court area offers other options too, and as a whole, it is a nice option for travelers who want to grab something quick and convenient.

I stopped in for a quick bite to eat after a business meeting and was really impressed! I ordered the baked potato with broccoli and cheese and it was fresh, hot and very tasty. The prices are reasonable and the service is pretty quick too.

You’ll find a personal hand crafted touch at this hard to find establishment; hidden on 4th floor of Westin Bonadventure. I recently enjoyed a very tasty smoothie. I was particularly impressed when i watched the woman fresh squeeze the orange in my smoothie! Delicious! Cash best, extra charge for credit card use.

conveniently located in the Weston hotel. Open 7am to 11pm. Get a smoothy or a salad. Small little food court eatery that offers a daily special. Nothing really special about this place except its location. Cheaper than eating at the restaurants in the area but you get what you pay for.

Surprisingly(I say this because this place is located in the Westin Bonaventure) this place looks like a total dive. Never being one to let looks deter me I decided to give this place a try on a recent cruise through the lobby. I got the Veggie Baked Potato and a Minestrone soup, both for $ 7.95 including tax. The soup was your pretty standard minestrone. The potato, however, was yummy. Loaded with Broccoli, Cauliflower, Cheese, Avocado, and Sour Cream it was just what I was craving. I will be back for sure.

I needed a quick and early breakfast while staying and working in DTLA, so searched for a place that I could get a smoothie. This place is in a totally random location inside the Westin Bonaventure hotel, but the concierge pointed me to it easily. There was no one in there when I first arrived, but when she finally got there she was happy to make me the power smoothie(frozen yogurt, banana, strawberry, protein powder and wheat germ). I was a little bit hesitant for frozen yogurt that early in the am, but it definitely gave me the energy burst that I needed! It was also the perfect consistency and delicious. Many of the reviews were for lunch and the gentleman who came in after me got a sandwich, so I just may need to go back and get one as well!

Super average«restaurant» find that happens to be in the Westin Bonaventure hotel. Nothing to… really look at, in all honesty. And, I had gotten myself a super quick breakfast: plain bagel, cream cheese and bottled orange juice. My boyfriend got himself an egg and ham sandwich, too. The price wasn’t bad, food was decent and the lady who toasted the bagel and was the cashier was nice — albeit slightly short when talking with me, but, oh well. I’ll come back here if and when I need to get an amazingly fast breakfast while I’m staying here again. However, some tips for ALL the places in the hotel that are not: Lakeview Bistro, L. A Prime or Bonavista Lounge: they are extremely hard to find(if you don’t know their general location), sometimes have strange hours and it’s hit-or-miss if they allow cards of any kind for payment — for example, this place DOESNOT. So, don’t forget actual cash if you want to actually get something from here.

Once you solve the puzzle of how to find it in the Westin, you figure you might as well buy something because you’re hungry and it has 4 stars on Unilocal even though everything on the menu, and the place itself, looks suspect. Got an avocado sandwich, as I didn’t want to gamble with a meat order. Avocado went south, bread was stale. What a waste of a building-puzzle and 6 bucks.

Been coming here for years, never fails to meet expectations. Great service and always great food. Chinese chicken sales is my usual, but I have tried others and been thoroughly satisfied as well.

YUMMMMMY catch in the Westin hotel. I stumbled on this– floor 4, inaccessible from the main elevators– on my way back up to my room from the gym. They have fresh EVERYTHING– fruit, salads,(they make your salad for you live with whatever you want and it’s not rubbery chicken or anything, all good stuff) Amazing Pico De Gallo if you go that Mexican flavor route on a salad. They have smoothies, they have lo-everything muffins, they have water, sodas, juices, you name it. I love that it’s huge portions of fresh food and under 10 $ for a hujazz salad and monster bottle of water. And then my room service order from Westin was $ 55 for an omelet with coffee. That is just WRONG. What’s in those eggs? Gold? I think not. Get yourself here, and thank me later.

Got into the Westin Bonaventure much later than I planned. I wasn’t sure what would be open at 9 pm. So glad I found this place in the food court on the 4th floor. They have multiple vegetarian options including four different vegetarian sandwiches. I got the veggie turkey sandwich. It’s fresh, tasty, a hitting the spot. This place is a real find.

If I didn’t have to walk 2 blocks, 2 stories up, and then a full circle around the poorly designed interior of the Bonaventure then I would definitely come here more often. You can get a huge salad for $ 6 and freshly squeezed juice for less than $ 4. Granted it isn’t organic but it’s fresh and there’s no where else in the heart of dtla where you can get a healthy and affordable lunch. I suggest you ask for the dressing on the side because the lady who makes the salads has a heavy hand. I asked her to lightly dress mine but she still overdressed it. So far I’ve tried the Chinese chicken salad and the chicken caesar salad. The Chinese chicken is way too sweet for my liking so I prefer the Caesar salad with chicken. They give you lots of tender chicken breast and the croûton is pretty tasty too. Last tip: bring cash or they’ll charge you a transaction fee for using a cc. Is that even legal nowadays?

The Health Winner is probably the best of all the food court places at Westin. They have healthier choice for your lunch. The chicken salad is good and cheap. They also have lunch special like half sandwich and half smoothie for $ 6. Everything tasted fresh. This is one of my go-to places when I stay at Westin and doesn’t have time to go outside or just don’t want to.

Stay away from the food items in open containers. They are very stale. Especially the frozen yogurt toppings I.e. oreos. Other than that the prices are reasonable for the location.

A healthy filling salad w/chicken for less than $ 6. Chinese Chicken Salad — 3.5 Stars Romaine, Tangerine Slices, Grilled Chicken(plentiful), Wonton Skin, Sesame Seeds and a super sweet and slightly tangy dressing. I definitely recommend requesting the dressing on the side because if you leave it up to them it becomes too sweet and probably takes the«healthy» out of the salad. You really get plenty of salad for the $ 6 price tag. Juices — 4 Stars Choose between: celery, apple, orange, grapefruit, carrot for a healthy drink as well. They juice it just like you would at home. Westin — 2 Stars Needs an updo bad. I noticed as soon as we walked in the humidity or lack of flowing air, is the a/c on? The hotel and all the business inside is very run down and because of all the concrete columns you have to walk in a big circle to get to the other side. Overall, for a quick easy affordable salad go.

You can actually get a pretty legit salad here for $ 6.75TOTAL. My spicy Thai chicken salad was sizable though overdressed and comes with pita bread. $ 0.50 extra for credit cards though, and they take your card into some back room for 2 min and then bring it back out, so bring cash. I’d give it 4 stars but minus one star for being so freakin hard to get to. It’s on the 4th floor somewhere in the Westin Bonaventure. We took an elevator then had to walk around to stairs and it took like 15 minutes to get to it.

The Health Winner is located inside a very structurally confusing place. The whole building or the section of the building where the shop is located at just has a bad feng shui vibe but a nice co-worker told me about this place and I’m glad he did. This unassuming café/shop looks very uninviting. In fact, it’s looks a little ghetto. However, the pasta primevera salad I got was delicious, fresh, filling and cheap for downtown right under $ 7 bucks. They have other vegetarian offerings such as vegetarian baked potato, vegetarian sandwiches, etc. Definitely worth a try if you’re staying at the hotel or working nearby. The lady making my food washed her hands immediately prior to making my food. Major brownie points! :D CASHONLY

For about $ 8, I was able to get a green juice(greens, carrot, celery, tomato, lemon) and half a faux-turkey veggie sandwich. They also have a half-sandwich and smoothie combo that’s an even better deal, but the smoothie it comes with is fraught with dairy, so I had to get them separately. Considering a veggie juice itself can normally run about that price(particularly in Downtown LA, so my «cheapness» standard is way lower), I’d say this place is a hidden gem. I’ll definitely be back.
