This truck(different phone number than on Unilocal! but same truck) had tacos a la carte so I tried a shrimp taco and a marinated pork taco. Garnishes on the taco containing crispy shrimp included finely shredded cabbage(yay!), tomatoes and their crema sauce. Slices of cucumber(I will pass but they’re a nice touch) were included on the side. I’d never had cohinita pibil(marinated pork) before and it’s tasty and a tad on the spicy side, garnished with lettuce, tomato and a pinch of chopped onion, topped with a thin red salsa(probably the source of the heat). Fresh and enticing! Hope they come back to 12121 Wilshire again soon.

Just had a shrimp cocktail from your truck on 26th/Olympic in Santa Monica. SO good. For $ 10 I was expecting it to be half the size. Hope to see you guys around soon :)

Food was good but it took 25 minutes for 3 tacos… From a truck. I hate to rate a local business poorly but don’t come unless you’ve budgeted enough time.

The shrimp burrito. You were parked between 6th and 7th on Spring. It was the best thing I have had in a while. Please come back. Big, crunchy shrimp. Lettuce. Fluffy tortilla. Crema. Rice. Avocado. Salsa. I have not seen you since, but I still have dreams about this burrito. SOGOOD.

I am so glad that MPK is getting a nice food truck scene going, and a shrimp/fish taco truck fits a sorely needed role in Mexican fare in this town. The shrimp tacos are amazing, delicately fried with a refreshing topping of sour cream, lettuce, and sour cream. Favorite dish is the shrimp quesadilla, though it can be a bit unwieldy to eat because of how much stuff is crammed in there(yum yum).

I’ve passed by this truck a few times on my way home. I decided to give this a try after grocery shopping at Ralph’s. It’s located right in front of Ralph’s along with another food truck next to it. I ordered one fish taco, one shrimp taco, and one carne asada taco. Both fish and shrimp tacos were topped with cabbage, some type of crema, and diced tomatoes and red onions. The carne asada taco was topped with this green sauce(it tasted like avocado? but it wasn’t the consistency of a guacamole?) and diced tomatoes and onions. Overall, they’re pretty delicious. The fried batter from the fish and shrimp weren’t heavy and I didn’t feel gross after eating them, which is a good sign! I didn’t really care too much for the extra toppings on the carne asada taco. I like it plain and simple — onions & cilantro the way to go. This place is a bit on the pricy side for tacos from a truck, but I wouldn’t mind coming back again.

Written by Michael’s wifey(forgot I’m in his account): The sign on the back of the truck flashed«eat healthy», «organic». So when I went to get fish cakes at Kembo, I thought I’d supplement it with something healthy. Walked over and was greeted with the nicest people in prim black uniform. Ordered shrimp taco, steak quesadilla, and ceviche torta. Haha, so much for being healthy. They take their time making each food with TLC. And hey, it’s really good! And their red salsa is amazingly good– no nonsense and spicy. My hubs loved his quesadilla. I could’ve used a bigger portion of the ceviche but flavor was right on– perfect and fresh. Please stay there. I’ll go on nights I want Mexican food cuz it’s more legit than all Mexican restos within five mile radius from me.

The truck was stopped at my work and I thought I give it a try. I have to say not only was the food quite tasty and fresh, the price was pretty decent for organic food. I ordered the shrimp burrito and a fish quesadilla. The shrimp burrito had great flavor and was not heavy at all. The fish quesadilla looked more like a soft taco with fried fish but it was still pretty good. I really liked the grilled chilli pepper that comes with the meals. I will definitely stop by again!

Had the chance to try The Shrimp and taco stop today. It was all I’ve been told and more. The shrimp burrito was just exquisite, but the ceviche was even better. Most important I didn’t feel bloated after eating. Great food and service!!!

It was my first time seeing The Shrimp & Taco Stop truck in Monterey Park. I was told that they’ve been there for over a week so I decided to give them a try. The truck was parked in front of Ralphs, next to Kembo Foods Corp(food truck). The chef(cook) and cashier were neatly dressed in their outfit(uniform). Overall the inside looked pretty clean from where I was standing. They have tacos, burritos and quesadillas(shrimp, fish, NY steak, pork, chicken). Refer to the menu for prices. I ordered one fried shrimp taco with everything(pico de gallo, cabbage and their sauce) and one grilled shrimp taco with just pico de gallo and cabbage. I didn’t eat on the spot because it was just too cold to be standing there eating it. So I had it packed togo. The tacos were just ok because the shrimp were rubbery. I’ll try other stuff next time.
