It’s hard to find a quick place to brunch on Sunday afternoons but this place is definitely worth a shot. First of I did wait like 15 minutes to get a table for three. Although it didn’t even feel that long, because the friendly host guy kept checking in on us and letting us know we were going to get a table soon. I ordered a strawberry cheesecake waffle which was delicious, really rich in flavor. And I’m definitely hooked and it probably will have me coming back. I also order the waffle special that gave you a choice of pancakes or waffles came with ham, hash browns(which were probably the best hash browns I had in a long time) and a side of eggs. I went with the pancakes since I had already ordered a waffle. For drinks I ordered a fresh squeeze OJ and a latte(it was really acidic) I wouldn’t be having their espresso again, On the other hand the OJ was really good.
I thought everything was really tasty and the portions were appropriate for the prices, well they can also be on the pricey side but definitely worth it! Service was actually really satisfying everyone was helpful, polite, and accommodating. Parking is easy to find since they have a parking lot right around the corner which is Free on weekends and on weekdays is also validated. I will definitely be returning again !!

Normally, whenever I come here, the food is always good. Today however, was a different story. My waitress at the bar only acknowledged me once, she never checked on me after that, ever. Not for a refill, nothing. Not to mention, I had to basically beg for silverware. My food came after what seemed like forever and when I got it, the hash browns were burnt, the eggs were soggy and my waffle was cold, great. Definitely disappointed.

food: 2⁄5 service: 5⁄5 Came here on a weekday and the place was pretty empty since I went before the lunch rush. I found the food to be really mediocre and I wouldn’t come back here again. My waffle and french toast was a little soggy. Prices for waffles are $ 9 – 10, all other dishes are $ 9 – 12. The coffee was really acidic. The high amount of reviews is mainly from all the business people who work around the area and frequent the place on their lunch break, sometimes on company dime. Really great staff and service, but food is not good.

Red Velvet waffles were good! Family ordered gluten free pancakes and waffles… surprisingly good too! Chili hashbrowns were yum! Beautiful day to sit outside. Staff super friendly. Ciara was great!!!

Big fan of the quality of the food here. All the waffles they have are unique, delicious and worth the price. My favorite is the Banana-Nut waffle. So I usually get that with a Breakfast Plate(all day breakfast dishes too). If you want something more savory, I recommend the Jalapeño waffle b/c it comes with delicious collard greens and a side of amazing fried chicken and gravy. But I honestly think you can’t go wrong with whatever you order here. And I can’t say that about most restaurants. This place even has good salads if you’re bringing a friend on a diet! There is actually something here for everyone. The only thing preventing me from give this place 5 stars is the horrendous speed of service. Oh my goodness do not go here if you need to be somewhere, because you will be there for 2 hours sometimes. The food takes a while because it’s fresh, I get it, but I’ve always had to ask for the check. They never give it to you after a while. And after you ask them, they take such a long time. The best way to get around this is to just ask for the check as soon as you get your food.

First and foremost. The double size mimosas here are all champagne with a sprinkle of OJ, for 6 bucks who needs bottomless? Everything I’ve tried here is delicious. Service is fantastic and served up with a smile. If you can’t decide on what waffle to try(there’s ALOT, hence the name), I recommend the waffle flight. Definitely a diamond in the Hollywood rough.

I’m big on two things: Drink quality and service. Both are excellent at the waffle. Mimosas are all champagne with a splash of o.j., and the servers take notes with a smile… Oh and the food is great. Jalapeño scramble & Waffle Flight for the win ;)

It’s like a bougie Waffle House but I swear before Unilocal that this is amazing! Haven’t had a bad experience yet. Plus they got $ 6 Mimosas! What’s better than $ 6 Mimosas? I’ll wait … NOTHING! Maaajjjoooorrr word to DJ Khaled!

I came here STARVING Free parking in the lot in the back(awesome!) they have outdoor and indoor seating, we opted to sit indoors but outside seemed nice as well I forgot the name of the entrée I got but it was the one that had eggs ham(or meat of your choice), potatoes, and half a waffle. prices are very fair for what you get, I think normally that would have filled me up but i was starving so I got a waffle sundae afterwards which was really good as well Service was decent but our server was definitely stretched too thin with how many tables he had, service was a bit lacking but he was just way too busy. Would definitely come back again!

I came here on a random Wednesday afternoon — there was no wait and we were seated immediately. The waffles here are pretty delicious — very crispy and flavorful. I ordered the chicken and waffles — which originally comes with a jalapeño waffle and fried chicken over gravy. I substituted the jalapeño waffle to a Belgian waffle which seemed like a good choice and the jalapeño waffle seems a little bit disgusting. I enjoyed fried chicken and waffle entre –as it was exactly the right amount of food for one person and the gravy over the fried chicken was delectable. My friends ordered other versions of the waffle meals(waffles over fruit) and some other specialty french toasts — everyone seemed to really enjoy their meal. The location is pretty cool as its located in the middle of hollywood around sunset blvd — about a 10 minute walk from metro(for all you public transportation enthusiasts). My only small complaint is that service is quite minimal our server pretty much took our order and brought over the food — without many opportunities to ask for water or additional napkins and utensils.

I wish I had just gone to Denny’s, NOLIE! I got the Waffle Breakfast and my man got the Cobb Salad. We also ordered a side of hash browns. Waffle Breakfast — $ 12 You get a choice of side and a meat. I chose bacon and hash browns(the sides are limited). I got scrambled eggs. The eggs were standard. The bacon was thin(3 pieces). The hash browns were flavorful, but something was missing. The waffle was very disappointing from a place called«The Waffle». The Cobb — $ 12 The salad was just ok. Too expensive and the greens did not seem very fresh. Definitely not organic. I think we ordered the wrong items because I saw some potato dishes that looked epic. I cannot recommend either dish we received. I would probably not give this place another chance.

SO glad I came here. Their red velvet waffle WITH the cream cheese frosting is… I mean, it’s heavenly. And there’s a fried chicken strip you can get, it’s a side dish and listen… fried to perfection. Oh! And their gigantic mimosas you get on Sundays are like $ 6. Whenever I’m back in Hollywood, The Waffle getting all my money! Well not ALL but the amount I choose to spend.

My first time here but won’t be my last! I was very impressed with the menu! It had so many options to choose from. The name says waffle but there is so much more than just waffles! I got a waffle breakfast sandwich that was AMAZING! And for my side I chose waffle fries. They have freshly squeezed orange juice that goes great with any break fast item. I must say the glass is very small for the price but worth it. Our server Ian was great! Couldn’t of felt more welcomed. He was going out of his way to make sure we were all satisfied. The layout is nice and the high ceilings give it a great feel. Definitely a place to check out!

The only reason why I don’t give them 5 stars is because I have to bring my own bottle of Tabasco. (Yes, I always have Tabasco with me at all times.) Oh and one more lame thing is that they don’t have refills on OJ. Boooooooo But on a good note service is great even when the place is packed. My boyfriend and I hate going to Hollywood but when we’re forced to we always stop here for a bite. Last time I got the original waffle and a side of fried chicken. Delish and finished it ALL with Tabasco all over that very beautifully breaded piece of chicken breast. My boyfriend got the Shepard’s pie which was a bunch of goodness with a huge layer of gravy on top. He said it was pretty good but I was intimidated by the massive plate. Ha There’s only meter parking so make sure time is on your side and you rack up that meter. Tickets in Los Angeles will make you hate life for an hour. Good luck and eat uppppppp.

I was apprehensive about eating here because the reviews seemed so mixed. We drove by to check it out, loved the retro feel and decided to stay. Not really sure why people have negative reviews on this place. Our first and only experience here was nothing but positive. Wait staff were super nice and helpful with our questions. Food portions were good and tasty. Prices are reasonable(maybe a dollar or two more than I would have hoped for) and overall quality is great. My partner had the savory waffle flight — good sizes and different tastes. I had the bacon waffle with a scamble on top — something I enjoyed as well. Only thing missing was something sweet but we were too stuffed to order anything else by the end of it all. There were a few items that interested me on the menu. Should I be in town again, I’ll definitely come back.

The wait: only 15 minutes for 2 people on a Sunday at 11:00. For Hollywood and a place that specializes in breakfast, that’s amazing! The staff: so nice! The drinks: hello, $ 6 huge mimosa in a jar. Just don’t stir it with the straw, it bubbles over The food: don’t hate me, but I didn’t get a waffle. Trying low carbs! But they had plenty of other options. The herbed eggs and ham was so good. They mix pesto in with the eggs and grill some ham in with it. It seemed like 2 eggs. It came with cottage cheese and a piece of toast for around $ 10. The overall: must go here!

The Waffle is goooood! I usually do not like pancakes or waffles with extra sweet toppings but I decided to be adventurous today and am so happy that I did! Breakfast is served all day. We tried three different signature waffles, all were very good. I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the strawberry cheesecake waffle. SOGOOD. They don’t offer bottomless mimosas but they do have them for $ 6. They come in a mason jar and it is more than enough for someone who is not an alcoholic. They have your traditional breakfast sides and other adult beverages. I walked in about 2:30pm on a Sunday afternoon and we were seated right away. They have seating on the patio or inside. We opted to sit inside since it was 1280 degrees outside. The restaurant doesn’t have a lot of seating and the tables are pretty close to each other. The inside of the restaurant is pretty basic; reminds me of an old school diner. I believe there is seating upstairs but I can’t say for sure. There is a small parking garage and it was free for us to park but I do not know if that is the case everyday. There is 1-hour parking on the street.

My boyfriend and I came here for breakfast and decided to sit out on the patio. It’s a bit awkward walking in because there is no host stand, you kind of walk-in and stand in the middle of the restaurant. A guy told us to sit anywhere we’d like and we said we’d sit out on the patio. Sat out there for a bit and I started to wonder if anyone was going to come out and at least give us menus to look at. Our server came out, got our drinks and gave us a minute to look at the menu. I opted for the hashbrown waffle and my boyfriend got the strawberry cheesecake waffle. we also ordered a starter: «rasher of sticky whiskey bacon» and the boyfriend also ordered a side of hashbrowns to go with his waffle. our drinks came out, the boyfriends arnold palmer was perfect and the tea they used was very refreshing(as per his comments). service was good, once the boyfriend’s drink hit mid way, the server got him a refill. our starter comes out and it is literally strips of bacon covered in a sticky caramel like sauce. the boyfriend was in love… me, not so much. It tasted like you were eating candy. It kept sticking to my teeth… aside from that, the flavors were good. It’s VERY sweet, a bit salty cause of the bacon and it also had a little kick to it. Bacon was not crunchy though. My boyfriend pretty much licked the plate clean on that one. Soon after our starter came out, our waffles and side of hashbrowns came out. my boyfriends strawberry cheesecake waffle looked and tasted amazing!!! the strawberry cream cheese they put on top was nice and fluffy and almost buttery. The strawberry sauce on the side wasn’t too sweet and the fresh strawberries were good. my hashbrown waffle was a bit disappointing. the scrambled(more like an omelette) and bacon on top of the waffle were pretty bland… i kept telling my boyfriend that it felt like it was missing a sauce or something. it’s hard to eat waffles without any kind of sauce, but i felt weird asking for a syrup cause i just didn’t think that would go with the eggs or bacon bits on top. definitely not something i would order again, however, they had a ton of other waffles on the menu that i would love to come back and try.

All I really have to say about this place is it was okay. There was no wait when we arrived for brunch, which is a plus; there is no host stand or system for lining up to get a seat, so you just pray that someone tells you that you can sit anywhere you’d like and then do so. Just follow your gut and sit down at an empty table. Eventually you will get menus. Service was consistent, but nothing memorable. I got a refill on my beverage and my food arrived within a reasonable time frame. I got the«flight of wee waffles» to try the waffle batter and some of their options; I really like the egg + bacon + caramelized onion waffle, but that was just the toppings. The waffles themselves seemed pretty average and the portion was petite. The other two waffles I sampled were the goat cheese(which was not what I was expecting) and the dill cream + lox waffle, which I felt didn’t harmonize the flavors well. If anything, I would have preferred the goat cheese with the lox. The herbed waffle was weird. Just weird. My boyfriend got the three-egg breakfast and the portion size was drastically different; my side of the table was eating at hipsterville and his size was Texas IHOP. What the fuck, man? He couldn’t even get through his gigantic stack of food and mine was gone because there was hardly anything there. ANDMINEWASMOREEXPENSIVE. GAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Parking is $ 2 with validation in the lot on Argyle. This saves you tons of time looking for meter parking, but don’t you feel hella bougie getting valet parking for some waffles? Maybe I’m not LA enough.

I watch the Food Network religiously and have been wanting to try the red velvet waffle here since seeing it on The Best Thing I Ever Ate. Spoiler alert, it’s amazing. So why only 3 stars then? To me, when I give something 5 stars it’s because I could think of nothing bad to say and that they perfectly ace my following three tests: –Taste, obviously –Price –Atmosphere/how comfortable and fun the place is. This includes friendliness of the staff as well. The waffle only hit 1.5 of these. Taste absolutely! The red velvet waffle batter is freshly made in house with buttermilk and cocoa powder, then served with a gigantic dollop of luxurious cream cheese icing. It’s like eating a cupcake that’s light crispy on the outside. I also loved their strawberry cheesecake waffle. Between the two I can’t pick which one was more delicious. I’d say it was a tie. Price is insane at $ 11 for a waffle, but that’s to be expected in Hollywood(or should I say California in general). Atmosphere was a real miss with this one. The inside is cramped and there is no hostess or place to stand while you wait for a table. We stood in the middle of the restaurant for about 3 – 4 minutes yesterday before anyone acknowledged us and were told to hang out until a table opened. So essentially you stand there awkwardly and stare at people impatiently waiting for someone to finish so you can snag their seat and not have to keep standing there like an idiot. Thankfully more people came in after we did and were kind enough to point out a table that had just opened outside. The rest of the meal was fine, service was great and we didn’t wait long for anything to come out. Would I go out of my way to come here again? Meh. But would I be immensely excited if they opened a location in Austin so I could eat their waffles more? Totally. Another nice thing is the parking garage here. The waffle will validate for an hour and a half so your total charge is only $ 2 when you leave. Much better than fighting with street parking, paying an insane amount of money for a different lot, and they even valet your car into the garage for you.
