Awesome place! The«Chai — Milk» and the coffee is are great, super urban, and looking at the art they have made out of bikes is very cool.

Super friendly people. Welcoming community. Lattes and pastries are amazing! Try their banana Nutella pop tart!

My new go-to spot. This is one of my new favorite coffee spots because of the vibe. It’s bright, it’s airy, and it’s very communal. The menu is simple, and the selection is straight forward. I’ve now stopped by twice. My first visit — ordered a coffee and a scone. The coffee was delicious and had me wired. The pour was perfect for about two cups. The scone, which I normally hate, was buttery and delicious. My second visit — chai tea latte and croissant. The chai tea might be my favorite. It’s not too spicy, and they had almond milk options for me which is great. Next time that I head that way I will be bringing my bike for a tune-up because I want to see what their repair center can do. The service that I have seen helping to bring in the bike and take it up the ramp seemed smooth and very friendly. You gotta check this place out!

Love the space, love the coffee, love the pastries, but the staff is what makes this place the best. The Wheelhouse is a perfect spot for a mid-day break or a late afternoon working session away from the office. Of all the places I love to go in the Arts District during my workday, The Wheelhouse is hands-down my favorite. I’m truly grateful they’ve arrived on the scene.

So this is my first review so be please be kind. I work around Factory Place Avenue and before Wheelhouse, the building was completely nothing and empty. As I saw new coffee shop will be opening up walking distance to my work, I was really excited. Every month, my colleagues and I would always walk pass by and wait til the grand opening. Wheel House reach out to our company and inform us the grand-opening. Just a heads up, it is located next to the Los Angeles Gun Club &LA. Bouldering. The Wheelhouse have signs around 6th street to guide you to the location. The wheelhouse parking, have there own spots for customers. At times, it can be really hectic with LAGC and LAB customers trying to look for parking. I remembered the grand opening, I ordered a cold brew, daily brew, chocolate espresso and a chai tea with almond milk. I didn’t order this all at once, but at different times in the day. The first drink I ordered was a cold brew. A few compliment I can give is it tastes better than the Starbucks cold brew. Plus, you can actually taste flavor! I’m not a huge espresso guy, but when trying it for the first time. I ordered a chocolate espresso, the barista melted the chocolate and put it at the bottom of the glass. Next he put the a shot of espresso, then the cream. I was craving something sweet and this really hit my sweet tooth. My girlfriend ordered a chai tea with almond milk and she REALLY loved it. This is a really cool concept with coffee and a bike shop. When I first looked out of the windows before the grand opening, it was really cool how the bikes were pinned to the wall. A quarter of the building is for the coffee shop. The whole upstairs and half of downstairs are bikes and accessories. Not only that, there are tables for people to sit down and enjoy the beautiful view outside. As I came in today on 2÷5÷2016, again they don’t have the fancy brew. Hopefully by next time they will have the fancy brew. In the Arts District, within a one mile radius of my work there’s plenty of competition in coffee shops. Such as Blue Bottle, Stumptown, Urth Café and many more to name. Wheelhouse is not a top contender as they are brand new, but hopefully within time they can be there. I would recommend to check this place out.

I love discovering new, unique coffee shops… The Wheelhouse is a unique addition to Art District. What caught my attention were the bikes on the wall! It is such a cool space, walking in you just want to look at all the cool, vintage bikes. This is a community-centered bicycle and coffee shop. They have a service department too, you can service your bike while enjoying a cup of joe. Overall, this is definitely a place you must check out. Coffee & service is amazing too :) xo Naomi

Great! Unique! Kind! This new coffee shop/bicycle shop/community builder is a wonderful new addition to the city. Greeted with a welcome and a smile I later met the owners, a nice young couple who appear earnest and sincere in trying to do something that brings people together and serves the community they inhabit. I’m not smart enough to review coffee beans but I know that it was hot, full, rich and served with some fun conversation about… bicycles! Coffee itself was served in a nice ceramic cup with an extra pour on the side. A good selection of pastries too. I had the best almond croissant of my life(no exaggeration) that I found out is baked by Superba Food in Venice. So good. The space itself is big and well furnished with bikes smartly mounted on walls. Bike nerds: they are a Rivendell Bicycle Works dealer. Maybe I should say rich bike nerds. Thoughtful product selections from Topo Designs, Veeka, nutcase and more to accommodate the real world cyclist not the Lycra wrapped though I’m sure all breed of cyclist are welcome. They are located on the edge of the LA Arts District and right near the just closed 6th Street bridge. I for one am rooting for them to succeed. This shop feels less like a business(a good thing) and more like a gathering point for a community filled with artists, cyclists, coffee lovers, human beings and other sentient life forms(dog friendly). In short, it seems like a place more at home in Portland, OR,(also a good thing) but a very welcome addition to Los Angeles and the Arts District in particular. Check it out, often.

Great place. Really cute and eclectic. The guy running the coffee bar was super nice, but definitely forgot my drink. It was cool. I walked around and looked at all of the dreamy hip merch. Cool space for sure!

Nice décor and plenty of room to lounge or work. I’m not a bicyclist so cannot comment knowledgeably on that aspect. Though from what I can tell, The Wheelhouse appears to be a wonderful resource for those who partake in cycling sports. What I do know is coffee. The price of a basic latte here is $ 5. Expensive even for the Arts District as within a short walk you find superstars like Blue Bottle, Stumptown, Blacktop, and Daily Dose… which serve lattes for less. Wheelhouse just opened. Maybe they need a little time to find their stride. Am keeping my fingers crossed and wishing them well…

Great concept! Specialty coffee and bicycles(retail and servicing) in the Arts District. The Wheelhouse serves Olympia Roasters Big Truck espresso and Little Buddy coffee. A second Olympia Roasters coffee will be featured daily. The pastries are amazing, flavorful, and melt in your mouth(guava cream cheese croissant, pastrami puff pastry with whole grain mustard and hint of havarti.) The atmosphere is modern and clean with a high ceiling. There is a refreshing patio with tables and wood cut seats to sip your coffee and enjoy a pastry. Up in the loft is where the cycle servicing takes place. Downstairs is the retail spot for both coffee, treats, and bike gear. The Wheelhouse is a fabulous addition to the neighborhood(located next door to the LA Gun Club)

Today was their pop up shop preview. The owners were nice enough to have free coffee and donuts. We were able to bring our bikes inside and enjoy their huge space! Obsessed with this spot. Very friendly people and the cutest interior for people to mingle and be at home really. Can’t wait for this place to be open in the new year! Bring your dogs, bring your bikes and enjoy a great day in Los Angeles!
