Great staff and an awesome product. It probably doesn’t help that I have a legitamate addcition to TImbuk2 bags. I’m so glad they opened up a store in Venice. The staff is very knowlegable and extremly helpful.

I saw it online. I called and they had it in stock. I wanted the snoop camera insert for either my «Slate» or «Rogue» backpack which I recently purchased at REI. I wanted a durable pack for my paint supplies and camera gear. Both these bags were dope in construction and size. I found out their Abbot Kinney store had the Snoop Camera Insert it in stock. The SCI is so practical and functional, you can take it out and put it in other back packs with out having to pack and repack camera gear. good for a DSLR body with lens, flash, and batteries. So I go down and as soon as I walk in the store, Deanna pleasantly greeted me and assisted me right away. I wanted to make sure the XS fit, she let me try it and it was a done deal. While I was there, Deanna was by herself and was able to assist 3 people almost simultaneously. She also informs me about the Venice Art Crawl which happens once a month this upcoming Thursday. notables* free stickers bike share program available some items in store are not online street parking or free lot parking(dirt lot) across the street behind the buildings

Amazing customer service — very friendly and knowledgeable. My husband is a big fan — we have maybe 4 – 5 different sized bags at home for different functions. Their bags are super durable and fit a LOT. The canvas has kept it’s shine for several years. The only part that we’ve had trouble with are the plastic buckles that snap and break, but they offer free replacements(the girl even offered to fix it for us if we brought the bag in). The only downside to this store would be the parking — super tough street parking. There appears to be a valet on the corner, but I have no idea how much that is.

Needed a new backpack for both college and commuting to work on my bicycle. Researched online and found that Timbuk2 seemed to be the highest rated, most functional, really cool designs, and had a lifetime warranty. So I narrowed it down to 2 different models, the Rogue and the Slate and I wanted to try both on to compare them. Saw that there was a Timbuk2 store near me, which was weird because I had never seen it before. Got there and it was really nice inside, turns out they had just open 3 days earlier, quite the coincidence. Employees were very nice and helpful. I ended up getting neither of the ones I came in for and got another one that they had pointed out to me, the Spire backpack in black with red stitching. I got it because it was more waterproof, slightly more room, better laptop sleeve, and a couple of more pockets. I even got a free gift with purchase which was a nice tote back in a cool copper and turquoise color which ironically was handmade in SF, whereas my backpack was from Vietnam. Overall a great shopping experience, especially compared to how awful the service can be at some of the stores on Abbott Kinney.
