Trevor Axt Photography

I recently contacted Trevor to take photos for my family. I couldn’t be happier that we chose Trevor! He was perfect. We took photos inside the LB Nature Center and he was so helpful in choosing where to stand (based on lighting) and let us pick random spots on the way. He was so helpful, laid-​back and talented. We will definitely continue to use Trevor for all of our photo taking needs!

What to say about Trevor?! He is just an absolutely dedicated, talented and 100% present wedding photographer.
Trevor went above and beyond all of mine and my husband’s expectation and he really made our wedding day so much more memorable and fun. His laid-​back personality and enthusiasm really made us feel comfortable and at ease. He was well prepared and had all the materials he needed handy at all times.
Beginning with the day prior to wedding:
He requested to see the venue before hand so he could get a feel for the place and the lighting he was going to be facing on the BIG DAY. We were going to be at our venue the day before our wedding to set up, so he made a point to come that day. But not only did he come and spent about an hour scouting out places to take pictures, he also stayed until after the sunset to get to know the lighting at our venue at night time. As it turned out his expertise and problem solving were INSTRUMENTAL to the set up of our lighting. He even stayed after our agreed upon hours to help us decide where the best place for our lighting would be.
The BIG DAY:
Trevor arrived way early! He went around with my husband taking pictures of him and came back around to ensure he had pictures of me getting ready as well. Due to our time constraints my husband and I decided to do a «First Look» shoot, which flowed very nicely since Trevor had already scouted out places for the shoot. He always knew where to go and how to position us.
After our first look we did our family and wedding party pictures. Trevor really has a talent for capturing candid moments. The «formal» pictures turned out beautifully, but he did an amazing job of capturing the moments in between and the more natural photos.
For our ceremony he had a tripod set up and ran around like a mad man to get the best angles. He was ready for all the different events within the ceremony (exchange of vows, ring bearer, first kiss, bride and groom, and bridal party exit) and all the pictures really tell our story so perfectly.
During our reception, I swear I have never seen anyone work as hard with as much enthusiasm! We got a lot of compliments from our guests who all said Trevor was doing an amazing job and they all noticed how hard he was working. During the speeches he went BEHIND the speakers and got some awesome photos of us, then RAN BEHIND us got some awesome photos of the speakers and he did this SEVERAL TIMES! These are seriously one of my favorite shots, because it takes our perspective AND the perspective of the speaker into account. Not in a million years would I have thought to take shots like that!!! He is, simply put, a genius! I reminded him to eat so many times, but he was so into his groove the poor guy completely forgot to eat and drink. Phenomenal dedication is all I can say.
Turn around time for pictures was as agreed upon and he even delivered more pictures than I expected. He’s just too good and took too many awesome picture, and rather than short changing us, he gave us all the ones that turned out amazing!!!
I can’t recommend him highly enough! He is dedicated, talented, thoughtful, considerate, detail oriented, easy going, knowledgeable — basically EVERYTHING YOU WANT IN A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER!

Trevor came to my home and took photos of my newborn daughter for our Christmas card. He did a FANTASTIC job! He was able to capture the essence of our home and keep my baby smiling for an hour! (I can’t even do that!) The photos I got were priceless, and I could not pick just one for our Christmas card! My husband was really skeptical of hiring someone to do this for us, but within 5 minutes of Trevor arriving (early btw…), my husband came into the room where I was nursing the baby before the shoot and just popped in to tell me «I like this guy.» My husband is hard to impress and even harder to get to smile in a photo, but Trevor did it all. He was able to take a beautiful mixture of poses that I wanted to have with those he creatively thought up. Needless to say he is our new family photographer!
The quality of the editing was also fantastic and truly brought an adorable photo up to the next level of artistic.
All in all, I was simply looking to get a few photos of my daughter, but ended up with a photo album full of high quality, beautiful, artistic, and creative family photos that are truly worth more than 1000 words! I would highly recommend Trevor if you want a prepared, laid back, creative, fun, hard working, and all-​around nice guy to take your photos.

I recently hired Trevor to complete all the photography for my website. I’m only an amateur photographer, but I knew exactly what types of photos I wanted for my site and Trevor delivered images way beyond my expectations. I was so pleased, I hired him for my next three shoots and plan to continue using him.
I’m far from a professional model so I was a bit worried that I would be uncomfortable in front of the camera and that the images would end up looking stiff. Trevor put me at ease immediately and kept me laughing throughout the session so that I looked totally happy and natural in all of the photos.
Trevor is friendly and easy to work with, but also completely professional. He was prompt, had top of the line equipment and is great at editing. He has a fast turnaround time and has even been able to get me a small selection of images within a day or two when I’m in a bind and need something right away.
Can’t recommend him enough!
