I was in the neighborhood for a show at the Shrine Auditorium and this was one of the closest liquor stores around; it is pretty sizeable and has a good selection or beer and spirits. If I recall correctly they charge you a surcharge for using your credit card if its less than $ 10 or $ 20 — can’t remember exactly.

I came here with my friends after reading the reviews, and they definitely had a huge selection of beer and liquor to choose from! All my friends prefer different things, so everyone left happy~ Oh yeah, they even had sales and specials on some of the alcohol!

I came here looking for some craft beer after reading the previous guy’s post, and I have to say they do have a good selection here. They have Chimay Red and Blue and an assortment of Unibroue 750mls. I saw on the back walls some Black Butter Porter, Flying Dog stuff, and some Rogue stuff. All in all its not too bad considering the other options in the area. This is my new come-to place!

I used to come here years ago for the meat. This place had the BEST marinated chicken and carne asada beef in town, and it was THE place to go before a big BBQ. Even though this place still has«Carniceria»(meat store) on the neon sign outside, on the inside it has transformed. Into a liquor store. For years I mourned the loss of my blessed carne asada, paying no attention to whatever may have taken its place… Until just recently, as I was hunting down some interesting beers to bring over to a friend’s place I walked back in here to find… BEER. LOTSANDLOTSOFBEER. GOODBEER. Sure, they’ve got your standard«I just want to get drunk fast» 40’s of Old English 800 and your 24-can packs of Natty Ice. But that you could have gotten down at 7-Eleven. What makes Trojan Liquor notable is its impressive selection of imported craft beers — from Stone Brewing Company, North Coast, New Belgium, Rogue… the list goes and on and on. Three or four cases full of the stuff. Now when I head to BBQ’s, I go to Superior down the street for great marinated meats. But for my beers, it’s Trojan Liquor every time.
