This is a review for their coffee. While staying with my son in Baldwin Hills I was desperate for a cup of coffee. Just by luck, was driving down Adams and found this place. The coffee is exceptional. Service great too, friendly and efficient. Out of my area, but go ther every morning.

The food is not bad, BUT!!! The wait is killer, we normally wait at least a hour before our food arrives. By the time the food arrives, you wonder if you’re still hungry. Do yourselves a favor, cook organic fresh food at home. It will most likely be to your satisfaction. The place is never full when I get here and the wait is probably the reason. The one on Adam’s doesn’t take this long and they’re super busy.

This place is pretty good. Me and my friend had lunch at Vees Café yesterday. We ordered Banana Mochas, Chipotle Chicken Panini and Chicken Pesto Panini. Coffee was great! I loved it! I have a problem with everything being too sweet but it was perfect! Even it’s a bit pricy:5 $ it’s worth it. We both liked our panini. It comes with choice of salad(Caesar, Greek of Garden) and it’s 11 $. I even had leftovers. Service was ok. I don’t like that much when people ask me too many questions. Maybe it’s because I’m not American. Anyway, my friend thought that it was a bit too much as well. All in all good experience and will come back for good coffee of lunch.

The only reason I give it a star at all is because my omelette was good. Otherwise, I gave this place a second chance at being better than the first but it was even worse. Not only do they make you wait forever between visits when they are not even busy. But my coffee is always cold when it arrives and I get attitude when I ask for a fresh cup. They give you a small amount of syrup for your dry French toast and when you ask for more again we times them and it took 15 minutes before she returned with more and we were done. If the service was better this place could be a great neighborhood place with a packed patio but it seems like they just don’t care at all. Not recommending to anyone or giving it a third try.

The good side is our doggies are allowed on the patio. The server that waited on us is a bit clueless about refilling water and coffee with out the patrons trying to find her. The food is Ok but a little on the pricey side. Since it seemed like decent quality that makes up for it.

Service was great! Everything else was okay-ish. I got a mango-pineapple smoothie and W. Adams omellete. I was a little bummed because the menu didn’t mention it has beans as it was almost 40% beans. Yeah, beans for breakfast gives me severe gas. And by now you know its all about the beans lol.

LOVEVEE’s on Adam in Mid City by my home but was out in Culver and met my friend for Bfast at this great new location. Will say parking is ruff but we are in LA, right??? The restaurant is bright super clean and huge! Been in the food business for many year(20+) and I know Vee’s will continue to do well here and at the other two locations!!! GREATFOOD, GREATRESTAURANTANDLOCATION. But even greater is the staff with the attention to detail that focus on!!! Thank you Soledad and Charlie!!!

Just recently opened in the old Zabumba space, this cute café serves pretty good espresso drinks and healthy breakfast and lunch options. Panini and quesadillas are good. Potatoes had very little flavor. Special jalapeño dressing was delicious! Nice new neighborhood option.

I live close by the Adams location, but tried this location just about a month ago when my windows were being tinted on my car. I like the décor of the Adams location better but I like that the Venice location is quadruple the size of Adams. I assume by the other reviews that this location is very new and I could kinda tell that there are some kinks that need to be worked out. However, the staff is friendly at this location, they are just still trying to figure things out. My spicy chicken panini was good and so was my strawberry/pineapple smoothie. Food wise, there is no difference between Venice and Adams.

Came to check this place out last week Thursday. The place was pretty cool with a nice atmosphere. My gripe was that my table was uneven so it kept wiggling while I was trying to work. I ordered a coffee and chocolate muffin. I was informed that the coffee is free if you order a pastry. Sweet! The coffee was really good! Surprisingly smooth. Service was okay. I had asked for milk with my coffee, but never got it. However, they offered to warm my muffin up for me, which was nice. Last little annoying thing. Parking here can be a pain. There is some street parking nearby, but the limit is 1 hour. I need more time than that if I’m going to get some work done whilst enjoying my coffee!

Wow! What a great place. The menu is extensive and the tea and coffee are top notch. Wifi, power plugs and it’s big with table service. Can’t wait to hang out here more! What a find. No more Coffee Bean or Starbucks for me. I like the fresh pastries. Also, they have tooth picks! Try asking for a tooth pick at say, Coffee Bean. They laugh at you and say, no «boss» no tooth picks, hahahaha. They need a cabinet in the super clean restroom. That’s my only complaint. Might want to add shades to the west wall windows. Ok, I’ll stop. I love this place.

What a nice surprise Vees Café was for breakfast today. This is a great place with great food, «eggs and more eggs», veggie options, juices and smoothies. You might drive right by it on Venice Blvd… Think Venice and Overland. The servers were really nice and the interior is spacious and comfortable. I had an Americano, the breakfast burrito, one of the green drinks. It was a really good breakfast and I’ll definitely try to get back soon.

This is my main study spot, because the food is good, the servers are accommodating, and it’s never crowded. The tables are large enough for a laptop and books, and the lightning is excellent(a big deal for optically challenged students like myself). Service can be a bit slow at times, so if you’re looking for a quick bite, this is not the spot for you. This place is perfect for people that want to chill for an hour or more. I’ve never had trouble finding parking. You should be able to find a spot in the cul-de-sac around the corner or a short distance away near Enterprise.

Vees Café is solid. I’ve been going to the location in West Adams for a couple of years, and didn’t realize they had opened a Palms location until I had to have my car worked on and needed a place I could park it with wifi to get some work done while I waited. They were happy to have me hang out, and everything was lovely — coffee, food, service, people. This is now my go-to whenever I have to take my car in!

I don’t understand why some people give the place 1 – 2 star reviews over really petty stuff and then say but the food was great! Huh? The workers here are very nice and they do what they can in instances where something goes wrong the two bad reviews I read were about a table being wobbly and the customer being upset because the server wouldn’t fix it permanently and just«put a piece of paper under the chair» and continues to say well don’t come here because I want the place all to my self um… okay… So you’re just writing bad reviews so other people won’t come here just yourself, seems legit. Anywho I’m here for my review of the place. First impression the place is it’s very clean and spacious there’s plenty of tables and chairs both outside and inside the outside area is very pretty with plants surrounding it and heat lamps. I sat inside, inside there’s also plenty of room with benches and chairs and some tucked away tables if you like your privacy there’s also plenty of outlets from what I saw and I believe they have free wifi! Yay! The servers are very sweet and nice and came to me as soon as I came in, which I like. The food here is amazing, I ordered the spicy chicken panini with the Greek salad the jalapeño sauce they put in the panini is da bomb! So good the dressing on the Greek salad is a little lemony but I like that only thing is the panini is a little too crispy but that’s okay I can deal. I also ordered the pick me up I think it’s called its a watermelon lemon with something else drink that is also very delicious. They have plenty of cold pressed juices which is cool, smoothies and they serve breakfast too! My food came really fast but that’s probably because it’s 2pm and it’s not very busy so wait time was about 10 – 15 min. Didn’t check out the bathroom because I didn’t need to go but judging from the cleanliness of the rest of the place I’m sure it’s clean as well. Food is reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is great very quiet & calm its a great place for lunch. My only only complaint is parking, parking is HORRIBLE, they have a small parking lot up front which looked to fit maybe 5 cars but they were all filled up so I had to park on the street a little bit away which sucks but can’t blame the place for having bad parking because what can they do about it? So 5 stars for Vees Café!

Love this new location. There’s plenty of seating, lots of outlets, and the employees are very nice. I haven’t had much of the food, but it looks pretty good. My two complaints would be: 1. the iced coffee is gross(they say it’s a cold brew, but it’s clear from the bitter taste that it’s just hot coffee poured over ice), and 2. There are little to no vegetarian or vegan options. Other than that, it’s a great place to meet up with someone for a chat or get some work done. They even have outdoor seating!

I’ve come to vees a few times now. Usually, I’m just in it for the coffee, which is passable. They are very good with banana themed drinks. The environment is nice. Spacious, clean, and well decorated with artwork. There is very nice outdoor seating, which includes heaters and some decent plants. I am presently here, having lunch. I ordered a banana latte, with almond milk. This is very good. I also ordered a spicy chicken panini. The food: I’m not a dairy guy, so I asked for my panini without the provolone that comes standard. Because this sandwich comes standard with avo, this should have worked out great. However, it arrived with no avo, and the foccaccia it arrived on was crispy/dry. It came in as a 2⁄5 star item. I pointed the lack of avo out to the server. I asked if they had maybe brought me their pesto panini instead, as it had pesto on it, along with the other ingredients listed on the menu. The cook came out to see, and I dissected the sandwich in front of him. No avocado. Had pesto. A few minutes later server returned, and told me she had seen avo on it. What? I reiterated: I took sandwich apart. I was okay with the whole thing up to this point… but… tell me I’m wrong? I’m the one paying for this. I showed cook, and you. What? I mean, simple thing. I tipped 20% anyway, because the biz is new and people need space to learn… but 2 star for now, because it’s not my job to prove to you that my dry, wrong order is wrong. They offered me a neighborhood discount of 10%.

1. These table suck. Wobbly and with a bare tap, my phone went sliding and hitting the ground when the waitress came and handed me a menu. Wonderful. Convincing myself it’s not a big deal, but low key really pissed that happened. The waitress apologized and said, «It’s okay» when she helped me picked it up and a corner of the case had come off the phone. Had to ask her to do something to level out the table to avoid that from happening again. 2. You order at the bar or take a seat if you’re dining in. Not very intuitive when you first walk in. You can also order at the front and sit in, I think I’ll do that next time. 3. Seems to be popular for to go orders. To go orders seem to go faster than in-store dining. Some chick had her food order messed up and they offered her free coffee and refunded her order. Guess it pays to complain and be pissed off over a mistake. 4. Lots of tables and outlets for the study folks(i.e. me), but the tables suck, see point 1. I looked at a number of tables and they had paper stuck under one leg as a fix. That’s fine but seems like most tables have a problem. 5. Food came before drink. What the fuck. But okay. Breakfast croissant is a skip – if you’re into that item, I suggest going to Jack n’ Jill’s Too instead in Beverly Grove, they have a bomb breakfast croissant. Banana Mocha Ice Blended taste exactly how it sounds. I would’ve preferred a regular coffee as the banana makes it too sweet. The Spicy Chicken Panini was okay, the chicken was a little dry and tough, must have been overcooked. I asked how spicy the sauce was and was informed that it’s pretty mild, well I downed a lot of water to accompany my sandwich as it did start getting hot. They were really slow on refilling my water. I definitely do not recommend the tea latte, I had an Earl Grey Tea Latte with soy milk and while it wasn’t sweet(which I prefer), there is no trace of vanilla and when I added some sugar, the whole thing tasted off. By far would recommend you get regular tea or stick to coffee here. 6. Parking sucks because it’s sandwiched on Overland/Venice so prepare to park semi-far and walk, but you can and will find parking eventually(1hr and 2hr limits on some streets or drive deeper into the residential neighborhoods and get free all day parking). 7. While it needs to work out its kinks, it’s not bad. I’d stick to coffee and pastries here. Don’t come here so I can come here while it’s still empty and study in peace. k thx bai.

I had the Southwestern Salad and it was horrible! The beans were under cooked, the chicken was overcooked. It was a drag! I had it with ranch and it tasted like ranch dip not ranch dressing. Completely thick! Can’t get a salad together? Tragedy!

The food is good for sure and the place has a very comforting and simple atmosphere with minimalist and clean wood lines. The décor feels open and even though there aren’t many windows, the positioning of the few they do have, makes the place feel very open. There is a lot of natural light coming In during the day. When the sun goes down, you can see the wisdom in the layout of the lighting. Its great! The coffee is very flavorful. The staff is very nice and right now its never very crowded. like any place like this it will eventually start to fill up with Macbook Pros. So, if you’re a writer you’d better hurry before everybody else finds this place. They have power outlets, that they do not police like some places do. The WiFi is free with purchase. I can’t find anything wrong with this place. It is relaxing and cute; you should find the time to eat here. Get the California Wrap and add Bacon!

I have to start by saying that this is only a review of Vees’ coffee(not food or other drinks). I stopped by for two take out coffees and, unfortunately, did not have the best experience. We ordered our coffees at the register and were given a number and told to have a seat while we waited. 15 minutes went by, but no sign of our coffees. One of the servers noticed and was nice enough to ask if we’d been helped. She then went back to the person who was behind the counter and asked about our coffees. At that point, we noticed that they started to make them! Since we had been waiting for so long, they tried to rush the coffees and completely messed up our order. I had asked for a vanilla latte but was give a regular latte. My husband ordered an espresso with milk but they did not add milk to his drink and to make matters worse, his coffee was burned! We took our drinks and left, so we didn’t realize they’d messed up until we were in the car. Such a shame, because the food did look very yummy and we had even talked about returning for brunch. Not anymore, of course. I wish the server would’ve apologized for the delay and then taken the time to make our drinks properly. I would’ve been fine with it. But getting burnt coffee is just a big disappointment.

First time here. Our server was very nice and she first made us aware of the free coffee with our meal. We had the garden omelette with bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, italian squash, and cheese, with potatoes and toast. We also got the french toast with strawberries. The only down fall I see is they dont have salsa for the omelette and eggs. But all in all it was very delicious. The prices are very reasonably priced. The other problem I encountered was the parking is a problem. It is very limited spaces on the street and it is only 1 hour parking except on Sundays.

Fast, friendly service. Good healthy food BAD parking situation– walk a couple blocks unless you’re lucky enough to snag a spot right out front. Plenty of seating, very clean and relaxing atmosphere. They have patio seating, but it’s raining today, so I sat inside. I had the Spicy Chicken Panini. Overall a good sandwich, pressed well and inge diets were balanced nicely. Panini comes with a side salad – I chose the organic garden salad – I usually leave greens uneaten on the side of the plate but this time I ate it all – lightly dressed with a sweet french dressing and flaunting shredded carrots and diced cucumbers – everything was so FRESH I couldn’t help but finish. Five stars for the service — was greeted promptly, seated immediately and served within 5 minutes of ordering. I will most definitely return. Next time I plan to try an omelet or quesedilla.

All I ever wanted was a nice, clean coffee shop within walking distance from my apartment where I can sit and write, and now I have it! I couldn’t be more pleased. Full disclosure: I just come for the coffee and ambiance, so I haven’t tried any of their food. I have no idea how it measures up. But if you just want a nice, chill coffee shop that’s not crowded and is staffed with really pleasant workers, this is your place.

Read good things about the other 2 locations and when I saw that a third location open up in my neighborhood, we came for breakfast to give it a try. Ordered the Just French Toast, a toasted croissant with fresh strawberry jam, a cup of tea and coffee. The croissant was the winner out of the four, because the French Toast was a bit dry like it didn’t have enough egg mixture and the drinks were luke warm. Although there were plenty of breakfast dishes, they didn’t seem appealing or made sense. Ex. Mushrooms in a breakfast burrito? Que?! Perhaps, this place is more known for their quick breakfast(coffees, pastries & smoothies) and their lunch menu. Gave it a try today and will give it another try if they’re still here 6 months from now.

The food here was like eating at any airport, but less expensive. Let me elaborate. We had coffee to start and the breakfast club panini in addition to a garden omelette. The coffee was good; a solid cup of coffee that works for breakfast. The breakfast club was where the meal took a disappointing turn. Eggs were reminiscent of something you buy in the frozen foods section and microwave. Those were topped with deli turkey, way too much mustard, tomato, and a sprinkling of semi-melted shredded cheese, all on a crispy piece of bread. The garden omelette was no different. A near perfect disc of «scrambled» eggs covered vegetables and some non-melted mozzarella. Again, the food was akin to airport food. It’s all somehow ready to go without any sort of griddle or hot stove. What black magic box are you using in the back to make these mediocre meals? My guess is a microwave followed up with a panini press. This was a soft opening and there are obviously a few kinks to work out. Maybe Vee’s didn’t have a stove/griddle installed yet? Maybe they’re waiting on a working exhaust fan? I can only guess. I still have high hopes for Vee’s on Venice. Maybe lunch is better and cooked properly? Perhaps the $ 8 juices are worth it? It could be worth checking back in a month’s time. With better options in the area Vee’s doesn’t stand out in the way of breakfast.

It’s not officially open yet but with the soft opening and it being a block over from the studio it’s been a hit so far!!! Cold pressed juices, coffee and good food… you can’t go wrong !!! Officially opening Friday I hope this little café can hold its ground and survives the food battles that comes with being in LA !! Good luck and hope the location works out… ill be seeing you guys again… u can count on that !! Parking may be a hassle but if that’s the only problem, then I’d say vees café has nothing to worry about
