Line was fairly long, but so worth the wait. The lady helping us was super patient(amazingly) and the batter on the fish was spot on. The fish itself was fried to perfection and the sauce hits your palette just right. I would love to come back again when I’m in the area! $ 2 a taco? a steal!

The fish tacos were absolutely amazing! They are a MUST if you go to the Venice oceanfront. The fish tacos were good without being to fried or doughy as well as the shrimp tacos. I will come back just for these!

Great place to grab some cheap food and go. Tacos tasted great. Highly recommend for lunch or a snack right on the beach.

The toppings were delicious and the tacos were a decent size. I had both Korean BBQ beef and fish tacos. The fish was 50−60% batter so you couldn’t really taste the fish or get the texture or even really see it. The Korean BBQ beef was not typical but instead cubed. It was good but not what I expected and not great. Probably better fish tacos on Venice Beach.

My parents have been raving about this taco place for a while and we finally made it down to Venice for lunch today. Literally a hole in the wall. It is really easy to miss it if you aren’t looking for this place. There is a sign up above that says fish tacos. We ordered two types of tacos, fish and shrimp. They both are deep fried. Hubby prefers the fish. Fish tacos $ 2 and shrimp $ 2.50. Amazing price for the portion and the deliciousness of these tacos! The spicy sauce gives it a nice little kick. I love the crunch of the fish batter too. Grabs some tacos and either enjoy it on the bleachers watching the bball players or else walk a little further and have yourself a taco picnic on the beach. Will definitely be back!

Fish tacos were a solid 3.5 out of 5. Very crispy and flavourful. The batter was light and airy with a good crunch and fish to batter ratio. The Korean bbq taco was okay not that great and the seasoning of the Korean sauces didn’t go well with the toppings and taco sauce. But I will definite go back for some fish tacos !

Was starving when I was walking on the boardwalk and when I saw $ 2 fish tacos I thought, why the hell not? I’m glad I went for this little stand though! The fish tacos were surprisingly really good and filling. Even had a nice spicy kick to it and the fish was fried so it was crisp and fluffy at the same time.

Good tacos, but smothered in a little too much sauce for me. The fish to batter ratio is lacking. The Korean BBQ is good, though. The price is reasonable given the location as long as you don’t get a drink. It’s definitely no full meal, but would be a good snack to hold you over.

Decent hole in the wall taco stand. Ordered the fish and korean bbq taco for $ 2.00 and $ 2.99 respectively. Right near the basketball courts and about two blocks away from muscle beach. Just sad that there were not any nearby tables to sit by. There were benches but nothing near by with shade. Tacos are made to order. They’re not just sitting around in the back waiting for customers. The spicy sauce on the tacos are extremely spicy. I had two and my tongue was on fire. Overall, I’d come back.

I was so hesitant to try fish tacos just cos I didn’t like the idea of it, but this stall right on the boardwalk made me ~understand~. These tacos are SOGOOOOD. It’s been 2 weeks since I had them and I’m still craving. The fish is a plain white dory(i think) coated with crunchy batter fried to perfection. And it’s drizzled with this great sauce and other vegetable fillings and wrapped with a soft lightly toasted taco shell. Doesn’t taste«fishy» at all. Just plain delicious. There are lots of sit down restos and cafes down the whole walk that sell these quintessential venice beach fish tacos, but this small stall probably serves same-tasting or even better ones. Cheap too! $ 2 only. When we bought ours, they even had a combo thingy where you can get two tacos + a drink for a lower price. Yummy, filling, and the price is right. Very much worth it. Made my whole LA trip. A Venice Beach must.

Walking down the Venice strip, lunch sounded good. Pulled out my Unilocal app to see what was good within walking distance. After a long list of lame options fish tacos didn’t seem bad on a hot afternoon. As we approach the little shop we were greeted by a sweet gal ready to take our order. Once we got our food I was disappointed. Not as good as the pictures. If I was back in the area I’d spend the money for a little bit of a nicer/tastier place.

Unornamented, simple taco shop located on Ocean Front Walk in Venice. Conveniently near the Venice basketball courts and was the perfect quick bite for lunch today. You order at the window, kinda place and has no dining area with tables– though steps away from sand, ocean, cop a squat and enjoy your tacos there. All the tacos come in 1 soft corn tortilla with cabbage, tomatoes, cream sauce and a mild tapatio of some sort. My fish tacos were crispy, breaded, warm, freshly deep fried and are only $ 2 –all day, everyday(NOT just on Tuesdays)! My shrimp taco was the fish taco’s cousin –meaning it’s of the same quality but shrimp and will cost you $ 2.50 each. Portion size is generous for the price and my inner fat girl was satisfied. I have nothing negative to say about the service. Two, seemingly hard-working Asian ladies behind the counter were hustling with producing my ambrosial lunch for today.

My sister and I stopped by for one fish taco each as a snack before lunch time. We certainly couldn’t argue with the price($ 2) each. After placing our order and waiting just a few minutes, we got our tacos, each containing a piece of fried fish covered in cabbage, tomatoes, and sauce. They were delicious! The crispness and spice level(medium) was PERFECT! After walking down the boardwalk a bit further, we returned for additional tacos. We did not try anything else on the menu. I’ve only had fish tacos at about a dozen other places and these were my personal favorite. I highly recommend stopping by when you’re at the beach!

Okay guys so here it is: the best fish taco. Reading the sign on the window«best fish tacos,» I was a bit skeptical at first being its right on the beach pretty much taco truck style but do not judge a taco by its shell this was the best fish taco I ever tasted! It was so perfectly crispy and the fried outside didn’t even think about coming off the fish it was like heaven on earth. The sauce was nonchalantly perfect too without even trying to be! $ 2.00! People should be coming to Venice Beach just to eat this fish taco.

Best fish tacos I’ve had, a hidden gem for only $ 2 each! The sauce is amazing, the fish perfectly fried, and each crunchy bite was a memorable experience amidst the lively scene at Venice Beach.

My siblings and I were walking around Venice Beach when we saw a sign that said $ 2 Fish Tacos. My brother and I instantly decided we’re getting us some fish tacos. It’s just a little stand run by an Asian lady that also happens to serve smoothies. These were some really good fish tacos! So good, that each time we passed it, we got another one. Each taco is made to order, so you have to wait a bit. The batter is ridiculously crispy. Each bite had an audible crunch. It may have actually been too much batter, the flavor and texture of the fish was kinda hidden. The shrimp tacos were $ 2.50 and not as good, so you can skip em.

We’ve been going to Venice Fish Tacos since 2010 when we first discovered this place after moving to Venice. The fish is fresh, battered with a perfect crunch over tasty fish. The fish nests in a bed of very fresh coleslaw, tomato and cilantro — topped with a wonderful mayo sauce and a sprinkle of hot chile sauce«Baja» style. All on a fresh tortilla.(Be sure to get plenty of napkins — we don’t use the forks!) The tacos are so delicious — costing only $ 2.00 per taco — that we only order the fish tacos — haven’t tried smoothies, fruit, etc. The family that runs the place really knows how to make a perfect taco, but still haven’t been able to find out how they make their taco topping. So far they’ve kept it a secret.

Just had Ricky’s Fish Tacos few weeks ago and gotta say ever since Ive been craving some more. I was actually Unilocal’in Fish Tacos while walking the Boardwalk and by chance I happened to run across this little food stand. Ain’t gonna lie, I was quite hesitant at first, they have fish tacos and smoothies… wtf??? To make matters worse it was Asians making fish tacos… Ummmmmm??? If it wasn’t for my friend wanting a smoothie, I probably would’ve never tried this place and would’ve missed out. Damn, the batter here is light and crispy and the fish melts in yo mouth too and you’re on the beach… BINGO!!! Their strawberry banana smoothie was pretty good too… but the highlight for me was the fish tacos! I’m not exactly sure if they’re called Venice Fish Tacos and Smoothies cuz I didn’t see a sign, but I asked for their address and told them I’d list them on Unilocal. Ya’ll can Thank Me Later for adding this joint for FISHTACOS!!!
