This place has been rebranded as something like D’Angelo’s Pizza so this review is for the new version. Vinny’s wasn’t bad, but the new one is way better. HOLYCRAPTHISISGOODNYSTYLEPIZZA! I am an East Coaster and am EXTREMELY picky about my NY style pizza. LA may have superior everything else, but it sucks for good NY style pizza. This place is the best NY style pizza I’ve had in LA. The dough varies in thickness from real thin NY style to slightly thicker(but still very thin compared to something like CPK or Papa Johns). The place is always empty at lunch which is sad because their lunch specials are fantastic. It’s usually $ 7 – 8 for two slices, salad, and drink. The staff is always super friendly and the place is very clean. I don’t understand why they aren’t packed all day with how good their pies are. For a while, I stopped trying to find good pizza in this city and just started ordering Papa John’s, but now, I’m going here.

This is my first review. I usually leave well enough alone. Just had the chicken Parmesan here. Terrible. It was plain boiled chicken in a bowl with overlooked pasta, a ketchup like sauce and some cheese sprinkled on top.

Went there, and they were closed! Usually their pizza was ok, just took a long time toget your food.

If you like pizza so thin that you can fold it four times, this is the place for you. I’ll go somewhere else. It did taste good though. (I never did get the garlic bread I ordered.)

Take a look at my pics. They won’t be getting any more business from me after that gave me those POS pizzas. They obviously didn’t give a damn to let that go out of their door. I received burned pizza with those huge bubble-type things in it that you get with improperly made pizza. Taste-wise, I feel I would have been better off getting a hot in ready from Little Caesar or a frozen pizza. The pizza was bland with no traces of Italian tastes to it.

I like their $ 4.99 medium cheese pizza specials on Mondays — Wednesdays. Otherwise it’s pretty expensive and nothing spectacular.

More people should be eating pizza here I don’t think anyone can beat it for the price! Very reasonable!

Pretty Legit. I come here whenever I visit my friend in Playa Vista, and for the money(use the Unilocal deals!) it is freaking awesome! I have come to this spot about 4 times, and each and every time I have gotten awesome service with great quality pizza! Pizza is somewhat Cali style and New York style dough. I like this hybrid. MY favorite is definitely the sub sandwiches! The Wings, I was not a fan of, but my chicken lover friend had a blast with them. I would def recommend this place again.

This is definitely some of the best NY-style pizza in the area! Very flavorful, with just the right amount of cheese, sauce, and toppings. The best part though is the crust. It’s a perfect consistency, somewhat chewy and not too hard or soft. I had driven by this place for the last 3 years on my way home from work and never noticed it until a few weeks ago. Now I’ve had it twice and have been impressed with the pizza both times. No doubt I’ll be back. The one fault that I found is their online ordering. I ordered a pizza online and showed up 20 minutes later and they couldn’t find my order. I showed him the confirmation on my phone and he just asked if I put in my credit card… they don’t even have a place online to put a credit card. Don’t create an online ordering system if you don’t know how to work it. But anyways, I ordered my pizza there and was out the door in 10 minutes with a perfectly-cooked pie. Correction: Their online ordering system works just fine, just not on a mobile phone, where it omits the credit card screen. I’ve now used it several times from my computer and it works great.

Best NY style pizza in this area! A plus is that the cheese actually tastes the way it should taste. If you are used to the way a pizza tastes at a national chain place, you are in for a treat! We tried the margehritta pizza and it was great. We had it made light on the cheese and it was still plenty. So if you like cheese and order it normal you will have lots of cheese. We also ordered the cheese calzone. Very yummy. A real calzone needs to have mozzarella and ricotta cheese. This place did just that. The person who took our order was excellent with great customer service skills. Clean place with easy parking. We will be back!

Online ordering option? Check! Part of iDine so I get a percentage back? Check! Delivered BEFORE the expected time? Check! Excellent calzone that I can’t believe I finished all by myself? Check! Only issue is that the driver didn’t seem to know I had already paid via credit card. Everything else was fabulous!

Vinny’s Pizza just recently opened up in a nondescript strip mall along Culver Blvd, which I know more for their neighbors(Asa-ya — actually some very decent fast Japanese food). I managed to snag an online coupon and it was about time to spend it before expiring. Anyway, I ordered a medium Vinny’s Special for take out. But gosh… $ 18 for a medium pizza?! I mean, sure there are toppings… but it’s just pepperoni, meatball, bell peppers and olives… *sigh* oh well. The coupon took care of the price. Vinny specializes in NY Style thin-crust pizza. Well the crust was thin, but soggy. I couldn’t pick mine up with one hand and it’s not like a live far away either(read: didn’t take long for me to start digging in). I will say that the place itself looks pretty nice and clean. Also, they are DEAD at night. I’m sure that it’s probably fairly busy at lunch since they are located next to DirecTV. Easy parking as they have a shared private lot.

I was told this place had the best NY pizza in the MDR area. Their printed menu even states«THEBESTNEWYORK –STYLEPIZZAIN L.A.» — see, I even used the correct punctuation. It is not the best NY style pizza in the area. As a simple example — Pizzarito a mile away has a better NY style pie with that real NYC crust that’s has that incredible texture and slight smokey taste I remember from my years on Manhattan. Mulberry Street in WLA and SFV are better pies as well, and all are true priced pies. Vinny’s is about 10% to15% more for less taste and quality across their menu. Read on. My first exposure to Vinny’s was the WED before Thanksgiving. We ordered the large Pismo Pie, with pepperoni, sausage, ‘shrooms, onions and extra cheese. while it was cooked well, as in not undercooked which is typical for an incorrectly cooked NY style pie, it did have other issues. The sauce was weak in taste, very under seasoned requiring a little more salt and even some black pepper. I had to dump a lot of crushed red pepper on it to make it stand up. The crust itself had good structure and was perfect for folding, but it tasted like I was eating a saltine cracker, but softer. The large Spring Mix Salad with Italian dressing was just OK, some of the greens were tired and wilted. That being said, I am always willing to give a place a second look unless it poisoned me the first time around, so I decided to try it again tonight for dinner — actually for two of us. The BBQ wings were fair at best, again they too seemed undercooked and needed to actually be crisper, perhaps by cooking longer — the meat was stringy and tough to pull off the bones. The BBQ sauce they were rolled in was different than most others. We also had orders of Fettuccini Alfredo and Spaghetti and Meatballs. Again, the red sauce for the Spaghetti was weak in seasoning and had a slight soapy after taste. Perhaps the boiling water for the pasta was recently cleaned and not rinsed out well? The 2 meatballs were decent, a good blend of meat and various binders and seasoning. But, for $ 8.99 a plate with a really crappy and soggy portion of garlic bread, I would have expected more value and quality for the money. The Alfredo was the better pasta dish, but it also had the soapy after taste and it too was missing a basic treatment of seasoning — as in salt. I added some at home and it made all the difference. Please note, I RARELY add salt to anything, but these dishes really needed something. We ordered also a small Caesar and a small House salad. They were each pretty typical. This time the greens were fresh and they did provide a nicer than usual Balsamic dressing for the House. But that isn’t enough to warrant a 3 star experience.

I’ll start off with a word of warning, their online ordering system isn’t bulletproof. It left my friends and I hungry last Saturday night after I called an hour after ordering only to hear that they«never received the order». That then forced us to order Domino’s… add that to the utterly embarrassing loss UCLA had to USC that night and well… I was ready to write Vinny’s off. So the owner did me a solid and gave me a free medium pizza today to make up for the mistake. So I’ll review that now. Our favorite new york style pie has been(and still is) La Rocco’s in Culver City. Upon first bite of Vinny’s pie, we both literally went«wow». The cheese was slightly stringy and chewy, the pepperoni slightly crispy, and just enough of a pool of grease on top to remind you of your favorite slices in NYC. We’ll definitely be ordering from them again should our NY pizza craving rear it’s hungry head. Though we love La Rocco’s, they don’t deliver to our neck of the woods.

Pizza and salad combo, with soda, is a decent deal at $ 6. Their pizza is good, but not blow your mind fantastic. It definitely satisfies that pizza craving I get every couple of weeks. I am really glad that they opened in my neighborhood. I’ve been three times now, always a different person working — but all were very friendly. I’ll be back… I need to try that really awesome looking calzone on their menu!

This is a great little spot. The menu is simple: Pizza, sandwhiches, salad, and basic pasta, and reasonably priced. They just opened about a month ago in a spot previously occupied by an overpriced Italian Trattoria. They are open until 11pm, so if you are at the bar in the same shopping center(which serves no food) you can swing in for a bite. They have specials, like 2 slices of pizza and a drink for $ 5.99 — and their slices seem to be reasonable sizes. My mom and bro had the Vinny’s Special pizza, an everything which looked tasty. I had the Penne with Tomato Cream Sauce and asked for them to put some chicken and mozzerella in it. YUM… Mom and I split a large house salad — and we may have been able to get away splitting a small, as it was pretty filling before pizza and pasta. I love that they have fountain drinks(Abbot charges $ 2 for 20oz bottles!) and if they had Wi-Fi service, I would probably take up residency here! Also, the Unilocal Deal of $ 20 certificate for $ 10 is a great way to try the place! Our total would have been $ 46, but we had the certificate, so it was $ 26.

No Marisa Tomei, but real thin and«foldable» NY-style Pizza is what sets Vinny’s Pizza apart. Well, that and the fact that it is totally off the beaten path in a small strip mall on the«other» end of Culver Blvd(regardless of where you are). It just opened a few weeks ago and I went in on a whim after seeing the bright sign over the entrance. My Cousin Vinny is a classically funny movie that is hard to skip past when channel surfing. Since 1992, any thing having to do with a «Vinny» or «Marisa Tomei» brings back a flood of quotes and memorable scenes. Several of them popped in my head while waiting for a Medium Jalapeño & Sausage Pizza. My mind was racing with quotes like«Excuse me, you guys down here hear about the ongoing cholesterol problem in the country?» and«What is a yute? «. I’m sure I looked like a total idiot smiling and daydreaming. «Oh yeah, you blend.» Once the pizza arrived, it was eating time. The soft crust was actually really excellent and a good match for the cheese. There is a Unilocal Deal that I wish I’d seen before ordering. Oh well, next time. Vinny’s Pizza is a good local choice for NY-Style Pizza whether you are eating by the slice, whole pies, or delivery. «ooh you are a smooth talker. You are… you are! »

Great service! The pizza is good and fresh. Just be warned a size«Medium» is actually a small(its also their smallest available size). i probably wouldnt pay $ 14 – 16 for a small pizza but its a great deal if you get a coupon.
