Disappointment for having a business name & website associated with a convenience store from the east coast and instead being a restaurant. YOU’RENOTTHEREALWAWA

Does anybody else think this place is sketchy? This place was so difficult to find an entrance. All the gated doors were locked up, so I didn’t know how to get in. Apparently, the entrance is where the underground parking is… The whole place, including our room, smelled of cigarettes. Not a clean place at all. We were the only customers there, and as soon as we left, we saw the worker bounce as well. This was around 11:30pm. So strange… Song selection was just okay. There were a bunch of(both American and Korean) songs I was looking forward to singing, but they weren’t on there. Rather than 1, I’m giving it 2 stars just because I enjoyed the company I went with.

Great little K place in K– town. It’s a bit hidden as you have can only enter through the parkadeat night. Defiantly caters to the Korean clientele but we were able to go old school 90’s English songs after we were shown how to use the remote that was all in Korean.

You have to show your I.D. upon entering. It’s a decent karaōke place, It’s the middle ground for me between Vermont Karaōke and Billiards and PalmTree LA. It’s unusually empty like all the time. One time I actually bumped into another girl in the restroom, SHOCKING! LOL. There’s always plenty of parking in the garage. Entrance of the garage is located on Ardmore. The garage is underground, so you might miss the driveway.

horrendous. so dirty and smelly, i thought it was a nrb for homeless people. staff is absolutely ridiculous. it was around 12 midnight when we arrived, and their venue was completely empty(probably because there are plenty of other better nrbs closeby). and although it was empty, they refused to take us in because one of the people in my group(birthday boy) was ‘too drunk’. we were absolutely stunned. sure he was a little red, but we barely completed a round 1, and were looking for a nice quiet place to sing. shocked at what just happened, we happily took our business elsewhere. we ended up going to Gaam NRB, where we happily spent about $ 350, for a much friendlier staff, much cleaner venue, and much more lively atmosphere. it is truly incredible how easily they just turned down our business. easy money lost. thank goodness though, because i cant stand the idea of these morons taking a dollar from anyone. p. s., the ‘too drunk’ guy lasted the whole night with zero problems and we ended up having a great time elsewhere.

Decent music selection. It’s a little dirty but what do you expect for a Norebang open til the wee hours of the night. FYI there is free underground parking(of course we had to check with the attendant). Enter in via Ardmore. It’s a little confusing for which entrance, use the one that goes underground. LOL. Then just go upstairs and you’ll see the entrance to Wawa. If you park on the street, Wawa is located on the corner of Olympic and Ardmore(right after Normandie). It’s good for what it is. A place to chill, sing a little, and wait out your drunkeness. hehe. I’m not sure what the prices are since the Birthday boy decided to pay.(I gots it!)

ive been to almost every nrb there is in koreatown and this has to be one of the slowest, dead nrb ever. theres never people here. everytime i come, i feel like im the only customer there and i fe weird. why am i keep coming back here? i really dont know. i guess its because we for sure know that we will get a room, not like elsewhere, we might have to wait. service is ok i guess. when you ring the bell, they are pretty prompt. theres a guy checking IDs by the entrance and also you can see some nrb dowoomis walking in and out like everywhere else. never had food here but i did have drinks. i dont know how much they are because i did not pay for it. restroom is clean but they are often out of toilet seat covers. parking is underground and therefore no valet, its FREEE!

I used to think that finding an empty noraebang(karaōke room) after 2AM in Koreatown was going to take a miracle, but I guess I was wrong. Wawa is definitely not one of the best and some of you might even think less of this place. However, down to it’s bare essentials, it simply does the job. Which, is a room, 2 microphones, a U shaped couch, and mediocre sound system. Here’s what you’re gonna find: @ They have a food menu that fits on an index card. Don’t eat here, just drink. @ Service goes past 2am, if you catch my drift. @ The place closes when y’all leave, meaning closer to 6AM. @ Need something? Ring the bell and keep on pushing it till someone comes. @ Couches right smack in the middle of the venue, like you’re gonna just sit there and chat. I remember seeing a knight’s armor, next to the love seats. Maybe I was too faded. @ Not the cleanest place in the world, but were you expecting to drink off the floors? @ Parking is underground, below the complex. I feel this actually works in your favor, since you don’t want the after 2am attention from the fuzz. If you’re looking to people watch or assume a better vibe, go somewhere else. This place is nothing spectacular, except most of the time, there’s hardly any wait for you to get a room. Please bring someone that speaks Korean. You’re in Koreatown, remember?

Hate this place. Overpriced and rude staff Booked 2 hours for a large room for 30 people. Price was $ 160.00 total… yes, $ 80 an hour. But the woman owner wasn’t even satisfied with that… after I painfully handed her the money, she then asked for TIP… So I ask her«Tip?! For what? We didn’t order any drinks or food. We received no service». Then she gave a pretentious smile and responded«All karaōke places charge tip». uhh…no they don’t. I’ve been to probably every karaōke place in Ktown, plus my parents own one, and I’ve never been charged or requested tip… maybe only when you order a gripload of drinks and crap. Plus the waiters are very rude and don’t want to be there. Peace out

Compared to other karaōke places in Koreatown, this place is: 1. overpriced 2. dirty 3. small 4. did I mention dirty. Parking isn’t hard since they have a full garage. I’m always worried some drunk kids are going to scratch my car or maybe even break a window. It’s happened before. Prices are always changing… it’s like their alcohol is MP. Wtf, right? Make sure to check your tab. They usually don’t even write any of the stuff you ordered so make sure to ask! I’ve been going here for as long as I can remember… and regardless to reasons 1 – 4, I still come back for memories. Honestly though, there are plenty of other even better places in koreatown. Only come here if it’s your last resort.

small parking lot in the back and there is street parking BUT watch out for the signs. You don’t want to get your car towed. Walking into this place you either have to know Korean or know someone who does because a majority of the signs aren’t in English. They provide the shops you would expect to see at a strip mall in a large city like Los Angeles but just built up vertically. Would I be back? Maybe if someone refers me to something inside other than that I am not going on my own

Been here twice. My friends and I had a bunch of fun here, but this place is pricey. The interior can use a glamor makeover. Make it more sparkly. Then my wallet wouldn’t feel as bad paying the bill.

Apparently, I’ve checked-in here a couple times… I’m usually, let’s just say… not sober, when I’m here, so I don’t ever remember physically checking-in. However, I do remember punching in my favorite songs and singing the night away. Oh, and some of my friends dancing the night away on the table and in the open area inside the room… Oops! Oh well… You know your night is going great if you can make it to karaōke and check-in, but not remember. That is all. That’s just how I roll.

I’ve been to numerous Karaōke places in KTOWN. First of all, don’t expect these kind of places to have great service. It’s like a typical Korean restaurant; too many people = crappy service. So, if you’re a Karaōke fanatic and go to Karaōke like it was your house, the first thing you would look at will have to be the sound system. Out of all the places I’ve been to, WaWa is listed in my book of Best Karaōke places because of how well the rooms are organized with a high-tech sound system. Atmosphere is always clean, the servers bring whatever it is you ask, and the sound system is top notch with updated KPOP music. Seriously, you can’t ask more. If I had to choose one flaw of this place, it’s the ‘no smoking’ regulation.

I came here so much when I was in highschool… back then it was called MGM… we would always get the gigantic room in the back cuz we would come with a huge group I would give this place 2 stars… but since they had SNSD-Hoot…which is a REALLY recent song… they get one more star for it… there are just so many more nicer places in LA now I only went here because I was with underage kids… and this place doesn’t card Their song selection wasn’t bad… they had a lot of recent songs Their sound quality wasn’t so great… the mics were too soft… we tried to make it louder, but it wouldn’t work… I don’t know if it was just our room or what, but the door wasn’t tinted… so pretty much ppl from the outside can see everything… umm…EMBARASSING –____– They A/C wasn’t on… I could’ve asked but I was too lazy to go out… these things should be on and ready without me having to go ask We wanted a smaller room since it was only 4 ppl… but they didn’t have anything smaller at the time… it was $ 25/hr I like places with at least 2 screens… one in the front and one in the back… so that if I wanted to stand and sing for my friends I could without having to turn around for the lyrics and the bathroom was gross… toilet paper on the ground… please clean the bathrooms another good thing was that they have a garage with plenty of parking… I feel like this place is kind of dead now… it definitely was poppin back in the days…

They over charged us because they thought we were drunk. We were there for a friend’s birthday after dinner, so we didn’t want to cause a scene, but WAWA, you gotta clean up the act. It doesn’t seem like we were the only ones that were over charged. They put us in the biggest room, $ 79 an hour and then we thought it was way too big so they put us in a normal room, for about $ 50 an hour. The bill charged $ 79. Not worth the fuss, but things like that make me not want to go there again. Shady business practices.

I really liked the room we got — super big and spacious, nice big table, lots of tvs. It was a 4×4 grid of mini tvs to make one big image in the center, surrounded by mini images from the other tvs. song selections were ok, typical of most karaōke places. they didn’t have a very big up to date selection of songs, though they do update every month. It seems like they might add about 5 – 10 english songs a month, and another 5 – 10 jpop ones. Most songs are in korean. One neat thing is that they have the Top 100 songs for many languages, chinese, japanese, english, indonesian, filipino, russian, etc. That was very unique, and we made use of the Chinese songs. They do serve alcohol, which is a plus. However, the selection was poor. only beer and plain soju. The beer was $ 4 a cup, and very very light, which can be good or bad depending on the person. What I didn’t like about the room was that the mics’ extension cords were too short. People basically had to go to the front of the room to sing. They should have it so it can reach the back of the room, so people don’t have to move all the way to the front for their song and then have to go allll the way back to their seats. Also, one of the mics seemed a little faulty. And some people thought the room was a little hot. The temperature was fine for me though. Overall, a mediocre karaōke place. Not too bad, but I’ve been to better. Would come again if I ever had a large group though, they actually have super big rooms to accommodate, which is rare for private room karaōke places.

I found a new karaōke place at K-town near the infamous Hoodori and Nak Won. Well, ok you caught me! I didn’t find it myself, someone showed it to me as I think it was one of the newer one that opened up. It’s located in the Nara Plaza between West Olympic Blvd and South Berendo St. with the other medical center and Nara Bank on the same plaza. Wawa is typical of many of the new karaōke place where they offered up private rooms to rent per hour to fulfill your fantasy of being a rock star in the comfort of privacy away from the prying eyes. Not quite sure about the cost per hour, but it did wound up around $ 20 per person for six people. I’m speculating it’s about $ 45-$ 60 per hour per room. Each room has a round leatherette tall sofa couch with a tiny table right in the middle. It comes with a sizable TV with a pretty good stereo sound to give you a home entertainment for your performance. They do soundproof the wall from the inside, not so much on the outside as I can hear loud screech of a car wreck that resembles a Backstreet Boys song. The song selections are not bad where it’s split between songs in English and Korean. The only bummer part was that the book that contains the song list is not in any type of order in either in categories or alphabetical order. I did not conquered my fear since the awful performance at Dave’s Bar in front of a live audience. Before my performance of Wake Me Before You Go Go, I did have a few drinks to calm the nerve and performed it like a D-list superstar. All is well with the world according to me after that night. There is an underground parking garage at the Nara plaza. Make sure you park there as you can take one flight of stairs to get up to the inside of the indoor center. They also locked the gates to the indoor plaza at after 10pm, so the only entrance is through the parking garage.
