It gets one star for the staff. They were friendly. But the food was terrible. Everything was luke warm to cold. No way the food temps were up to code! The two seafood items I put on my plate had such a fishy smell that we didn’t eat them cause we worried we might get sick. The place as hot… Uncomfortably hot and very dingy. But I can usually put décor aside for good food. This was not good food. Yuck

Don’t bother coming here. Waste of money. Food is greasy. Only thing I liked was the steamed rice. Floors and seating is sticky.

I had no choice but to give them 1 star. 815pm on a Friday night, empty, only 3 other people. Floor greasy, almost fell, even restroom was greasy. I would take pictures of this place but it would be insulting to my phone, lol. In a serious note I think sanitation should come.

The food tasted like it had been sitting for days, had me going straight to bathroom. The only thing this place has going for it is its hospitality. 2 stars for that 0 for the food. Never again will I go eat there again.

Gross… so not clean! First and last time I will stop in…

I have been to lots of buffet places, but never taste that good, they got many kind of foods, they also served shushi, friendly service, they have lots of seafoods and the prices are really best deal ever comparing to all buffet I went to. The kids price are really low, good environment and fresh air, I really enjoy eating there.

Variety of foods for only $ 7.49, I would say the best Chinese American food in the hometown. They also served hot fresh soup, fresh fruit and dessert too. Friendly service, and the drinks are free refill too. It’s nice and comfortable to eat there, feels like eating at your own house. If I ever wants to eat Chinese American food in Los Banos, I would definitely go back to China #1 Buffet.:

For the price of 7.49 for lunch buffet and lots of delicious food selections, this is quite a deal. The vegetable dishes are fresh and tasty. Hot and sour soup though is too spicy for me but taste good. Egg roll is great. Comes with ice cream and other desserts.

This place is only in business because it’s the only buffet in town. If there comes ANY competition, this place will be gone in no time. The food is as bad as it gets for a buffet. They’re constantly serving leftovers AND they stare at you while you’re eating, as if they’re waiting to charge you for accidentally swallowing their silverware.

I have come to this place a few times over the years and recently it has been much better than before. They have many items to choose from and the service is very attentive.

bad experience. the food was stale, probably sitting for hours upon hours. not a big selection of food. the desserts were dried-out looking. didnt even eat that. and the«highlight» was a single cockroach that ran across the floor. at that point we told the guy that was getting our drinks, and he only said«ok. thank you». no apology or anything. gross. wish I would have read the reviews before going here.

My family and I came here about two weeks ago to eat. We were looking for a Chinese restaurant and stumble across this buffet. We didn’t expect much from this place. The fried rice didn’t taste right, but everything else seem to be ok. Just a little on the oily side. I don’t think I’ll be coming here again.

Gross! I saw cockroaches were you go get your plates. I mentioned it to them. I did get a discount for that. I can’t imagine what’s in the kitchen. I’ll never go there again.

It’s O.K. The sauces are pretty good. The food sits too long and the veggies get overcooked. Sweet and sour(chicken, I think), very good. Everything else, fair. I tried a little of just about every dish. Dry fried fish. A couple of dim sum dishes, blah. Fried rice had pieces of cauliflower, huh? Oh, yeah, they have pizza. I never eat pizza at a cheap Asian buffet. Desserts were blah. For $ 6.99 lunch, a good value, but there’s nothing here to make me come back. Head to Fresno for a good cheap Chinese/Asian buffet.

Cheap chinese buffet– food makes you feel bloated and fat afterwards, but hey, don’t they all? Service and décor are not inviting, but you get what you pay for.

Rating this restaurants as a buffet only(don’t expect friendly service and luxurious décor), I would rather eat here than at any other Chinese restaurant in LB. They definitely have a variety of choices to choose from, and not every items is Chinese food(they serve pizza and fries too). Some of the items they have are chicken/beef broccoli, chow mein, friend rice, salt and pepper shrimp, orange chicken, fresh fruit, and even one type of dim sum. It resembles shu mai, but tastes more like a potsticker. They also have a variety of desserts to choose from like pudding, tapioca, icecream, macaroons, and other pastry items. Overall, the buffet area was neatly kept and they staff promptly clears your used plates. Although they do not have a lot of veggie entrée items to choose from, they do have watermelon, cantaloupe and honey dew. Prices for dinner were $ 9.95 for adults and $ 7.95 for kids ten and under.
