We were so unhappy with her we switched doctors, only to find out my husband had a heart condition which she missed. Please don’t go to her. She is rude and will downplay your concerns.

I read all the reviews both positive and negative. I thought I would give Dr. Eglin a chance. Long story short, my review agree with the negatives. From reading all the reviews, I feel Dr. Eglin is the type of doctor who does not treat everyone equally. I feel it’s like being at work where some gets treated better than others by the Supervisor. When I arrived at the office, the waiting room seemed small, stuffy and lack of circulation. The exam room I was in appeared a bit old and not as nice as other exam rooms. When Dr. Eglin came in, she introduced herself but appeared stoic and not friendly looking. Dr. Eglin told me to go against the wall so she can see my height. The measurements were marked on the wall. First, I’m 65 yrs old and have not been measured since I was a child. Second, markings on the wall??? That to me seems primitive. I’m under 5′ tall. After my height got measured, Dr. Eglin said twice – you’re not even on the charts! Doctors should know that there are people that are short. I felt offended. During that entire visit, it appeared Dr. Eglin kept the same stoic and unfriendly manner. During the 2nd visit, I felt very sick and was desperate to see a doctor. I didn’t want to come back to Dr. Eglin but had no choice. Again, Dr. Eglin appeared stoic and unfriendly. It did not improve from my last visit. To make a long story short, I asked Dr. Eglin for a doctor’s note to stay home. Dr. Eglin said that I didn’t look sick enough to stay home. No doctor has every told me that. I told Dr. Eglin that I’m not the type of person to abuse my sick leave and that I really do not feel well enough to go to work. She made a face and said she will go ahead and write the note. After that, I did NOT want to go back to Dr. Eglin. It’s stressful enough having physical problems; but when I have to deal with a doctor who I feel has an attitude and personality problem, it makes me more stressful. I called my Member Services and they assigned me to a new doctor who has excellent mannerisms, thorough, knowledgeable, competent, precise and always has a plan of action. It was so nice and a relief to be able to talk with a new doctor who has a smile on her face, friendly, patient, and everything good. Her name is Dr. Aziz.

I love Dr. Eglin. I’ve been seeing her now for a few years. She is right on Dardanelli in all of those medical office buildings near the hospital. Number one, her staff is always nice and friendly. Number two, there have been a few times I called on short notice to be seen and she could always accommodate me. Number three you never have to wait around long. If you have a 4:30 appointment be prepared to be in the exam room by 4:29. What I like about her(which some people might not) is that she doesn’t horse around. She gets right to the point on what is bothering you and reassures you if something is no big deal. Also interesting is she takes her own vitals. I work in the healthcare field and most doctors have the MA take blood pressure, respirations, and temp but she does it all herself! Last year I was having some really bad sciatica which required intense stretches multiple times a day. She had me get an X-ray to make sure it was nothing serious. Instead of prescribing pain killers and rest she printed out all these stretches to try and went through them with me. Within two weeks my pain had subsided 90%. If you want someone fast, knowledgeable, and to the point she is your girl.

I agree with all the other reviewers here. If you want somebody who is going to waffle around about your general health or specific diagnosis, you don’t want Dr. Eglin. Yes, she is direct, extremely knowledgeable, and competent. She is also available when you need to schedule something on short notice. Somehow, I find those things much more comforting than anything she could do in terms of mannerisms. She is exactly what I’m looking for in a doctor, but she’s probably not for everyone.

If you want a vague touchy-feely doctor then Dr. Eglin is not for you. She’s been my doctor for 12 years and gets right to the point and tells you what you need to hear, which is exactly what I want in a doctor. She is actually quite personable to talk to, just don’t expect any irrelevant nonsense during your visit.

«If you like very blunt doctors who love to correct you and argue, this is the doctor for you. She has the bedside manner of an angry crocodile and what she lacks in tact, is made up with a rather large ego. Impatience is her middle name, so don’t expect her to listen too long about your symptoms.» SO glad I’m not the only one(although it’s unfortunate). I found her to also be EXTREMELY judgmental and cold. She asked me if I’ve been tested for AIDS and hep b and c BECAUSE I HAVETATTOOS. My tattoos are not sketchy looking by any stretch of the imagination. She also told me to get a job where I talk less and that I really need to work out my marital problems to sort out my anxiety.

No beating around the bush with Dr. Eglin. She is precise and to the point. when it comes to diagnosis and plans of action. Dr Eglin is an «old school» type of Dr. She takes the time to talk to you giving u options and her opinions., My entire family is under her care and have been for many years. If u look past the«professional» façade, u will find a caring, knowledgeable health-warrior…who will help you with all ur health issues, She weill give u the tools and referrals u need to move forward. and get better. Of course, the rest is up to you. I am grateful to have Dr Eglin at my side… I trust her.(what could be better than that… when it comes to your health?)
