I really like this store… friendly, helpful, knowledgeable sales people. Nice«stuff», like buying local. Jenniffer, the owner, is super. Will keep going in.

I absolutely love this boutique! I usually travel to several work conventions a year where I wear casual and dressy clothes. Kismet is my one stop shop! They have everything from head to toe, including great jewelry, purses, accessories, undergarments and even shoes. They have a great selection and I love the personal service that the staff gives. They pull outfits together for me that I would not have thought of. I also love that I can always find a gift for a girlfriend here. I like that they are consistent with their brands too. They always have new stuff but each season I look out for new designs by Lilla P, Three Dots and Hobo. Oh, and don’t forget the sale rack. 5 stars all the way!

Love Love Love this boutique! The selection is amazing. The gals that work there are really on top of it. They know just what I am looking for! My latest find is the«Uno de 50» Spanish jewelry. I now have about 5 pieces and am wanting to keep adding to my collection. My closet is getting filled with Kismet clothing and accessories! They even have the most stylish shoes and boots. This is for sure my favorite place to shop in Los Gatos now! Cathy P.

Overbearing sales people, so/so selection In a nutshell the sales people drove me N-U-T-S. I went in there and they greeted me friendly enough and offered assistance to which I replied«Thanks so much, I’ll let you know if I need help.» After picking out a few items(that you can find ANYWHERE by the way(Spanx, Eileen Fisher, etc.) and using the dressing room — coming out to use the bigger mirror the salespeople would NOT leave me alone…‘Isn’t that comfortable?’ one said. I glanced and nodded, not wanting to get into a conversation. As I continued going in and out of the dressing room they’d say things ‘Would you like that in another color?’ ‘How is that working for you?’ «That looks wonderful on you, would you like me to see if we have another one?’ About 3 times I answered saying, «Thank you, I’ll let you know when I need help.» and smiled weakly. Finally when I’d made my selections, something else caught my eye and I was looking at it, and again… one of the sales people swooped in on me «Would you like me to get you a dressing room? Can I find your size??» So, I admit it, I had hit my limit. I left everything I wanted to buy on the rack in front of me, and said«Ok, That’s enough, I am leaving now.» To which the shocked salesperson, horrified by my actions, asked«What is wrong? We were just trying to help you. Don’t you want help?» I replied as nicely as I could«I’ve told you at least 3 times now — «I’ll let you know when I need help.» I smiled and left. I will never return. So, to summarize — if no one is in there you are their ‘prey’. If you want/ask for help, it’s great. If you don’t want them hovering over you at every turn, you are doomed. Normally, I like to buy local, but I’ll never go in there again, not only because they prey on you and can’t take a DIRECTHINT(i.e. me saying 3 – 4 times«I will let you know when I need help.») Coupled with the non-uniqueness of the merchandise… I’d skip this store, there are plenty of other unique stores in Los Gatos with more experienced sales people in them.
