Went here with some friends to watch soccer. A decent littler place. Very clean. Even the bathrooms were clean. Had a steak. It was cooked perfect(medium rare). The manager was friendly and had me cut it to make sure it was cooked the way I wanted to be. While decent, a little bland. Not a lot of flavor. The bartender was friendly but slow. Not busy and it took a few minutes for a couple of our drinks.

This place can either be good or decent. They have never blown me away, but I’ve only been disappointed once, and that was only for drinks. The servers are nice, the bathroom is fairly clean(I only had to mention a mess to the waiter one time, and they were prompt about making sure it got clean), and the food is tasty. I mean, it’s a chain restaurant. The flavors are good but basic, the food comes hot and plentiful. If you’re taking kids, there is a little console on the table they can play games on for $ 3. If you’re meeting mixed company and don’t know what the food preferences are, this is a safe bet. Also, it’s walking distance to the hospital if you’re visiting. You’ll leave full and happy, but it’s not as memorable as many of the unique dining options this city has.

We stopped for a quick dinner before playing volleyball. I got the chicken tenders dinner cooked«original». While the chicken was fully cooked, the batter was not. I’m not a person to complain, but I did let our waitress know. I told her to tell the cook the chicken needed to go just a bit longer. She was super nice and said she would tell her manager. The manager came out and asked, «is there a problem here?» in a very abrasive tone. I told her that the batter was not fully cooked, perfectly nice and respectable. She automatically replies, «well, it’s supposed to be that way, that’s ‘original’». Then she walked away. The service was awesome, management was TERRIBLE!

A coworker and I stepped out for lunch on Friday and couldn’t decide where to eat, so we just drove down Poplar Level until something struck our fancy. When she mentioned Chili’s and I said I had never been, that’s what we picked. For starters, I like the setup of this restaurant. There’s a bar, but it’s off to the left and pretty divided from the rest of the seating. I think it’s nice that it’s separate. There are plenty of TVs on the bar side and then a few set up sporadically on the casual dining side. One downside to the setup, however, is the small and a little bit awkward waiting area. There was a lunch rush while we were there so it was too crowded standing in the doorway. We were seated quickly, greeted quickly by our waiter. When we both ordered sweet teas he suggested a mango tea which we both ended up getting. Good flavor, but there was too much of the mango syrup. Having never been here, I had a tough time making a decision. My coworker gave me a few suggestions so I went off of that and got the Quesadilla Explosion Salad. I also ordered this with a few slices of avocado so I could chop those up and add them to the salad. I really enjoyed this and I don’t normally order salads when I go out. The portion was huge and just smothered in all sorts of ingredients. Not to brag on my own decisions, but I thought the avocado was a great addition to the salad. They also have the little electronic doohickeys at every table where you can play games and even close out your tab. I’m a big fan of those at chain restaurants. Our waiter ended up getting pretty busy as we were wanting to leave, so it was nice to be able to pay without waiting for him. All-in-all, a good experience. I can’t speak for other items on the menu but I did enjoy my salad. I would suggest getting the dressing on the side because of how large the portion is– you’ll definitely have enough to take some home!

I enjoy this Chili’s and I’ll definitely be back. It’s average when it comes to customer service, but the food tastes great and the décor is pretty rad. Unfortunately, last night my fiancé and I were both mysteriously stricken with stomach aches after eating there. The food tasted good and we enjoyed it, but obviously something was done incorrectly because we both got a bit sick. The other downside was that the seating was really weird. They had everyone piled into one side of the building, then seated us on the other side of the wall unusually close to another couple when there were plenty of open secluded places. It was just kinda odd. I really liked the presentation of the food though, it was awesome. If I go back again and the customer service is a bit better and the food doesn’t make me sick, I’ll change my review. Overall an ok place.

Pro-tip: be sure the waitress stirs your beer that has been sitting at the bar for 5 minutes with a straw so it looks freshly poured. They’ve mastered the technique here.

I went here for lunch and it was surprisingly crowded. However, we did get a seat at the bar right away. We didn’t have any alcoholic beverages since we were there for a lunch break. The waitress got our order quick and it also came out fast. I figured we would be in for a long wait. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. It was the perfect size to finish and be full.

This was my first and worse time ever at any chili’s. As you can see i almost come once a month or more. This time the service was horrible, found a hair in my dressing. Cannot go on about how bad my time was.

Went to Chilis on Poplar Level Road for supper about 7:30 tonight. Seated right away, drinks came right away, needed more time to look at the menu– waiter disappeared & never came back. We got up & walked out. This is a chronic problem at this location.

I am usually not one for chain restaraunts. especially since Louisville has SO many greatl ocal places to choose from. However — this place is right by my house and sometimes the convenient factor takes over. This Chili’s has great service and friendly bartenders. Often timeis we find ourselves stopping in for a light night snack and a drink. I would stay away from the chicken that’s on their new mexian menu. the menu is a GREAT price and you get a decent amount of food. However, the chicken is both dark and light meat and just doesn’t have the right flavor for the dishes they put them in. Other than that — I’m a pretty big fan of everything else on their American-esq menu.

I’ve been to several Chili’s in the city. This one seems to be the best. Not because of the food. All the Chili’s have pretty good food. This one seems to have better servers. I’ve never had to wait to start, get refills, or have someone check to see how the meal is going. We will go to the other Chili’s, because of the menu, but this one seems to have the service down.

We had a pretty poor experience at one of the neighboring Chili’s. I voiced a heavy complaint and they suggested I come back. We tried again at this location. So much better! Cleaner, friendlier. perfect! Our server, LaToya was perfect. I walked in to meet my husband as she was taking his drink order. she said«hiiiiiiii!!» and the first thing that went thru my head was«do I know her?» I LOVE when servers make me ask myself that — when they make me feel like an old friend. Our food was accurate and delicious. Well done, Poplar Level Chili’s and LaToya! We’ll be back!

Just heard the announcement that Chili’s will not allow people who carry to eat at their restaurant. Well, if that’s the case I will not eat there ever again. What a stupid policy.

On my quest to find healthier dining options, Chili’s has become one of my favorite restaurants. Their lighter choice menu offers 7 different items at under 750 calories each. Unlike many other restaurants that I have tried, their lighter choice options are packed with flavor and when I walk away from the table I feel full. I recently discovered their Margarita Grilled Chicken(total meal 550 calories) which is a delicious grilled chicken breast served over rice and black beans and topped with pico de gallo. On Saturday when I ordered the Margarita Grilled Chicken the chicken tasted like it has been grilled outdoors over a charcoal grill and was extremely juicy. Meals like the Margarita Grilled Chicken make it pleasant to eat light.

My rule is judge restaurants on what they are. Don’t do to a fast food place and complain that it isn’t gourmet. So i judge this on what it is. Went there with my family and Mother in Law before going to Lights Under Louisville. First of all, LOVED the food. Seasoned great, no one was upset with anything. I had the Shrimp Tacos and loved them. We got appetizers and my only complaint is that they are portioned a little skimpy. I am still giving five stars because it tasted great and the service was outstanding. That was my first time at Chili’s and it will not be my last.
