One star is too much for this place. I took a group of students and my principal to a conference in Louisville. They jacked the price up to $ 159 per night and only had smoking rooms available. We didn’t allow our students to walk to McDonalds which was a few doors down because we felt it was unsafe. Trucks were running in the parking lot at all hours. Single pane windows. Cigarette burns in the carpet, on the counter, toilet seat, comforter… Holes in the ceiling tiles above the shower. Water up to my calves every time I showered. No iron or ironing board. We asked the students to keep their shoes on and deadbolt their doors. I was genuinely worried we might find needles lurking in dark places. I would NEVER stay here again.

Clean, inexpensive, plenty of parking, great location and easy to access. No complaints on the first day of 5 here at Days Inn. I’m pleased.

The room is exactly what a $ 50 room looks like. It is 1 of the only truly truck friendly hotels in Louisville and ½ truck AND pet friendly hotels. I am on the backside of the hotel so road noise is nonexistent. The room and bathroom are clean with a flat screen TV& cable and the pillow-top mattress is firm. I will stay here again if I am need of a room.

The room was dismal at best, although I feel as though it is an insult to the word dismal to associate it with your motel. The smell permeating from the room reminded me of a pile of dog feces sprayed with ashtray scented cologne. It was so unbearable we had to leave the door cracked just to get some fresh air inside. The airconditioner in the room was as loud as a turbine and continually would turn on and off intermittently throughout the night. The bathroom was vile and was almost unusable. After showering it somehow felt filthier. The yellow tint to the walls and tub area due to uncleanliness was very off-putting. Finally at the end of the night when it was time to go to bed we discovered the sheets and blankets had tons of stains from rather unmentionable bodily fluids(not our own). I assume this was from the other«patrons» who rent these rooms by the hour. I have never experienced such a horrible set of accommodations and I have stayed in hostels, hotels, and campgrounds that weren’t exactly 5 star resorts. I understand that this is a motel and not the Ritz, however I did not expect to have to sleep in my clothes so that the linens didn’t touch me. The cost of the room being outrageous due to the Kentucky Derby coupled with the bill from my doctor afterwards to make sure I have not contracted some insufferable disease from the room made this a very pricey stay. Needless to say I will not be frequenting this hotel, telling anyone to stay there, or leaving a glowingly positive review on Unilocal. The only remedy for this hotel is a match, some gasoline, and a call to your insurance agency.
