Just a short time ago, I would have given this place 4 ½ stars. Over the last month the quality has gone down. Tonight the egg roll was a horrid, greasy mess that dripped oil when I removed it from the bag. The vegetables in the fried rice needed bettwr knife skills. I gave two stars because the wantib soup was perfect.

For lunch, it’s quick, cheap, and the staff is super friendly. I tend to frequent here at least every other week. If you’re a creature of habit, they’ll take the time to remember you and memorize your order. If you’re looking for a quick Chinese place that has a decent menu selection, it serves that purpose well.

Since moving to Louisville for college five years ago, friends have come and gone, but Double Dragon II has been there, only a few blocks away, and always open when I need it. And they didn’t turn their back on me when I decided to become a vegetarian, like so many other restaurants did. It’s true that the food is a little greasier than I’d prefer, but every relationship has its problems. Thanks for being there, Double Dragon II. I plan on being there for you for a long, long time too.

This is not a fancy place, nor does it pretend to be. In fact, it looks like almost every other quick service, take out Chinese food place found everywhere. However, the difference with this place is in the details: food prepared with care, great pricing, and friendly service if you take the time to notice.
The food is the standard fare, but prepared well, with care and with quality ingredients, not the bargain crap that seems to get served at a lot of places. I especially enjoy the lo mein, it is prepared simply but is very flavorful. The service is good, and if you are friendly, they will go out of their way to make your experience even better. The value of the lunch special can’t be beat, indeed this place gets extremely busy during lunch hours. Try this place out next time you are in the area, you will definitely come back again.

This is reviewing it for what it is… quick serve, strip mall Chinese food. But it is good for what it is. The spicy food is actually spicy, the meat is not overly fatty or gristly like at so many fast food Chinese joints, the fried food is crispy etc.
While many people review Chinese takeout places harshly for being «cheap Americanized crap» or whatever, I gotta admit, I had plenty of cheap and kinda crappy food in China too. This food though is pretty good. It isn’t fancy, but it is tasty and I’ve managed to feed two people dinner here with leftovers for under $ 12

Regular wham-bam-thank-you-ma’am chinese food in a local strip mall. Food was average. Location convenient to UofL and it was cheap.

This place is a great lunch place, the specials are $ 4.75 with the drink included and the food is top notch with more choices then you can think of, BUT if you are looking for table side service your out of luck. They bring it to you pretty quick but that’s it all else is self serve. But hey good food and great valve are sometimes thats all that matters. The best thing to do is call the order in ahead and it will be waiting when you get there.
