My PCP physician is here, I’m had surgery here, my son has had surgery here and I think the place is swell. Dr Ellis is great and the place is clean and doesn’t smell like you think a hospital should. We all know that’s not a good smell.

It was great for a doctors office!

Seriously, no one likes to go to a hospital. I went there with my wife for a major medical test. It was my first time in the building and dealing with the staff. She had this same test about 5 years ago at another facility and I never had a problem with the other facility. However, after our experience at Jewish Hospital East, I would not go to any other facility (if I have a choice).
We arrived and went to the wrong place (our fault) and the staff member was very friendly and told us the right location. As soon as we arrived there, we encountered another friendly staff member with a good sense of humor. I like that.
We waited a few minutes and they called her back. They prepped her and then called me back in a shorter amount of time than they told me. I liked that. I got to her room and they pulled her out in a few minutes to her procedure. They allowed me to stay in the room and watch TV while she had her test. After the test, the physician gave me the report. They brought her in and kep me up to day. They even allowed me to help myself to drinks while I waited. Again, Everyone was very friendly.
We were given thorough discharge instructions. I appreciate that just because it eliminates questions later on.
If I had my choice I would never go to ANY hospital, but they are avoidable. This was a great experience, all things considered.
