Not sure what the«temporary closed» means as they are closed at that location. I am happy to report they are now located in Rainbow Blossom Natural Foods which does have a bathroom. Sorry, but I find it rather strange to have a juice place not offer the basics, a bathroom. We are not a third world nation. Rainbow Blossom Natural Foods is a pretty neat store. Lots to pick from if you’re into health.

The first time I went to this location, I arrived about 15 minutes before they closed, which I was only aware of because the woman who was working was hastily putting things away, bringing the road sign in, etc. It definitely made me feel some type of way. But, when that sweet Avacado Dream smoothie hit my mouth, I forgot about my less-than-super experience. So, I went again and was greeted by a gentleman who answered all the questions about the supplements I couldn’t identify or pronounce. I got some kind of blueberry, icy dream. Superb product and service. So, I went again and had another experience with the hasty closer. She just isn’t nice/doesn’t like her job/doesn’t like me/is maybe having a bad month. But that’s okay. In this case I guess the product is worth it. I’ve resolved to go to the Rainbow Blossom location when I get a craving.

Try the«easy to be green». Delicious! Service was great and they generously gave me an extra carob smoothy that had been made as an experiment. Very knowledgable staff. A+

I was so excited when I asked to see the ingredients in their almond milk and my server said that it’s homemade: soaked, rinsed, and just almonds and water. This is a rare find and a testament to the quality of their food. Oh yeah, and homemade chocolate bars to boot!

My favorite juice bar in the Louisville Area… the green juices are all tasty and so healthy you feel like you’re drinking in health for your body. The carrot lemon ginger is probably my favorite so far, but the selection is pretty great and it’s surrounded by some wonderful local shopping as well!

Delicious smoothies and juices that are actually healthy for you, unlike the yogurt-and-hella-syrup smoothie place down the road. Not to mention, they’re packaged in eco-friendly cups instead of styrofoam.

After 7 miles of losing myself running in Cherokee Park, imagine how excited my Portlandian self was to pull up on Unilocal a live/raw smoothie place in Louisville. I’ve been here for 4 days and haven’t found too much in the way of quick, healthy options. If you are from a city that is huge on that sort of thing and has numerous places that do it well, don’t walk in to this Life Bar location with any sort of expectations. You may be disappointed. I ordered the Gorilla’s Delight and found it ok, since a better adjective fails to present itself at the moment. It was so incredibly thick that a spoon probably would have worked better than a straw. I didn’t thoroughly enjoy it but made sure to finish it since it cost me 8 bucks. Should have used my Unilocal check-in offer. The reason I decided to write a review rather than not was largely because there were about 4 or 5 people behind the counter, bs’ing around, when I walked in. They all stopped and stared at me as though I was interrupting them. This is the first place I’ve been to in Louisville where the people seemed condescending and what friendliness there was seemed forced/phony. Attitude is only tolerable if the product is actually really good. On the positive side, Life Bar is clean and I received my smoothie fairly quickly… even if everything else about it was pretty meh.

It’s Okay. The place is very clean and obviously doesn’t see very much business. The smoothies they sell are really good although some of them are just sickening. If your trying to lose weight I suggest you try this place because of all their healthy selections.

Let me start by going and saying that Life Bar is hands down the best smoothie/juice bar you’ll find in this town. Sure the prices may be a bit high, but it is certainly worth it. The menu is easy to navigate, each drink has a fairly in depth description of what it contains as well as caloric content. The first thing you’ll notice is that the drinks here are MUCH healthier than most smoothie places. Along with the drinks listed, you also have the option to make your own. I opted for a ChocoMaca with some peppermint in it. The drink was actually larger than I expected, and it tasted great! It wasn’t overly sweet or rich and you can tell the ingredients were of high quality. The smoothie was filling without causing you to feel gross, which is very important in a post-workout drink like they advertise the ChocoMaca to be. I was highly pleased and I really can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. You can’t go wrong here!

The smoothies are Delicious, but the Gorilla’s delight is the best. You can also customize the smoothies to give them a personal twist.

Life bar is so pricey, but the drinks are so good that I keep coming back. Plus, I understand the cost because of the fresh, quality ingredients. Be sure to check in on Unilocal to get a discount! I’ve had a juice blend, It’s Easy Being Green, and Chocomaca or something haha All were awesome. The girl who was working there both times was very helpful. I make sure to stop here on my way into work anytime I can manage.

One of a kind. I find myself craving the Reishi Cappuccino more often than not and while it may hurt my wallet a little, its always worth it. They serve it hot or cold to go with the season and/or your mood.

After traveling and being on the road I think my body needed a break and this was just the place! I had been over indulging on heavy foods and I felt I just needed a cleanser drink. I spoke to barista and she recommended a green juice and offered to put in a bit of extra ginger to help with the indigestion I was feeling. With Unilocal coupon in hand I purchased two drinks. The Keep It Green and the Reishi Cappuccino. The Keep It Green was refreshing and light and the Reishi Cappuccino(hot) was a little thick and chocolatey … reminds me of a mexican hot chocolate(champurrado). I didn’t recognize some of the ingredients in the reishi cappuccino but it was delectable and tasty. If this place was close to LA I could definitely see myself visiting more often just because their SIGNATURESUPERFOODSMOOTHIES all sound amazing. Pumpkin chai!!! Also compared to a lot of juice places in LA other typical juice places just do your usual fruit and juice smoothies… takes a lot for me to shell out $ 6+ for juice but give me ingredients like he show wu, maca, and reishi… I’m willing to shell out the $$$

I’ve finally been been back since attending an Elite even here. I got the reishi cappuccino smoothie which I loved when I sampled it. And, hey! I still love it. If you can afford it, and a smoothie is what you want, this is a good place to get it.

Even people who are afraid of vegetables and organics can enjoy these delicious smoothies. I was handed a hot beverage by Chase Barmore last spring during a sinus infection. It tasted like rich hot chocolate but thicker with a little spice. It was hot, soothing, gave me energy, and cleared up my breathing for hours! Now, for those of you who have frequented other shops like Jamba Juice or Smoothie King, you know it’s hard to get anything there that is normal sized, not full of processed sugars and unnecessary additives. Last I saw, they also did not have organic ingredients. This shop, however, sources locally and organically when they can, provides natural remedies, local honey, partners with local businesses, while providing education to patrons on the health and care of their bodies and spirits through nutrition. I mean, this business just captures my heart!

Oh, Life Bar. You quickly absorb my paycheck in 8 dollar increments. I don’t mind one bit. Fresh, organic, DELICIOUS and healthy. It’s like liquid crack. Everyone’s really knowledgeable, and they’re happy to put a new twist on different drinks to accommodate your taste buds. You have been warned.

After going to this place for the Unilocal Elite event(:dusts shoulders off:) I knew I’d be back. I never experienced this sort of raw, organic, local sort of goods before. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious, and made me feel revitalized. No joke. I wasn’t aware healthy things could be so scrumptious, but Chase and his team changed my mind. I’m a college student(only for a few more weeks!). Anyone without a trust fund knows it can get rough, especially at the end of the semester. It’s getting to be finals time, which means I live off of ramen and adderall(prescription, thank you). Clearly, this is by far the world’s healthiest combination. On Wednesday morning I woke up before my chemistry exam feeling like the inevitable pile of poo my lifestyle created. A quick trip to Life Bar and a reishi cappuccino later, I was good to go. I’m not sure exactly what is in this thing, but I’m pretty sure it’s magic. Feeling run-down? PMSing? In need of a boost? Go to Life Bar. Totally worth it. Bonus: they’re using the SpotOn reward system.

Located in the same space that Turtle Blossom used to inhabit, Life Bar is a welcome change. For starters, they’re consistently open. I believe the hours are from 9am-6pm Mon-Fri and 11am-6pm on weekends. Chase, the owner of both the location inside of the St. Matthews Rainbow Blossom and this new one, was really helpful and friendly. With an extensive menu offering smoothies, juices without fiber, juices with fiber, and options to create your own combinations within each of those categories, this is the kind of place where you could end up spending 10 minutes looking at the menu. Luckily, Chase is on top of it and ready to answer any questions people had about the ingredients and what kind of healthful effects they have. The menu itself is a great resource too. Listing not only the fruit, vegetable and herbs as ingredients, many of the specialty smoothies also explain when the healthy benefits of these drinks would really come in handy. I might be back soon for the The Lotus which pairs well before or after a yoga class because of the Eucomia and Eleuthero that help with flexibility. On this first visit, I went for old faithful in terms of ingredients. My eyes happened to scan across the word avocado. Bingo! Two of the juices with fiber had it as a main ingredient. Count me sold on this place forever. I left it up to Chase’s call on which one was better and he recommended the one that is not the Avocado Dream(sorry Unilocalers, I will edit this soon when I figure out the name of the one I ordered). Whatever it was called, it was filled to the brim of the 12 oz cup and delicious! Also of note: they sell local raw honey, bee pollen, cacao and maca powders in bulk. As many of the drink ingredients as possible are locally grown and everything is organic. The prices don’t lie: the average drink price ranges from 6.99−8.99. But that’s very comparable to Smoothie King if you put some additions in. No need to limit your knowledge of healthful eating to Netflix documentaries, Chase also told me that they plan on doing some raw foods and juicing talks and classes in the future. The best selling point on the place for me is the change in atmosphere of this space. Whereas I felt like an intruder in Turtle Blossom, Life Bar is welcoming and invites anyone and everyone who wonders what Eucomia is to ask.
