Tiny shop with a lot of games and space to play. Prices were fair, but didn’t have anything for me on my visit. The guys running the shop were nice and informative. If I lived in the area, I would frequent this place to play games for sure! Not a lot of parking behind the shop, and it’s a tight place to get in, but worth it!

Been there once and had a great experience. The guy working there, I presume to be the owner, was friendly and genuinely appreciated my patronage to his store which unfortunately is not the norm in locally owned niche businesses. Plenty of new gaming selections as well as classics. My current interest is X-Wing Miniatures and even after an X-Wing event that purchased a bunch of inventory he still had the best in stock selection in town at normal MSRP pricing. Look no further… this is the game shop you’re looking for.

If you are into all the war games then you will love this place. I was hoping to find a more variety of games. The staff was very friendly and helpful with explaining the layout of the shop.

As a newbie gamer, I like visiting FLGS(Friendly Local Game Stores). So, when my husband found Louisville Game Shop on Unilocal,I was super excited to explore it. See, we were visiting his parents one weekend so I didn’t think shopping for games would be on the agenda. But yadda yadda yadda, I am happy to report that we spent a few hours of gaming with the family! JK. I would yadda yadda yadda about my experience at LGS! It’s a great store and a wide selection. The sales guy was very nice and genuinely expressed interest in our our game preferences and offered suggestions. Overall, cute store which is located in an historic house along Baxter Road.

Sometimes comics and game shops are staffed by people with horrible attitudes trying to be some kind of geek chic. Even when the place has good people, it can take a long while to get past the snark and develop a relationship with the guys at the store. It was a breath of fresh air coming to the Louisville Game Store and being treated like a person on the first go and in every subsequent visit. It’s the excellent kind of customer service that doesn’t tread into obsequiousness or fake«buddy» stuff; just helpful and nice. It was once a house, which gives it just the requisite funk that you want in your local store– balanced out by cleanliness and good organization. The game and book selection is excellent– I’ve been gaming for years, so I’m frequently looking for specific or fairly off-beat items, and I’m usually able to find what I’m looking for.

This is a great game shop with a nice selection of board games, miniatures and other items for the gaming fan. If he doesn’t stock it, he’ll try to order it for you, too.

This is a great little game shop in the Highlands. They have a wide selection of collectible card, tabletop, role-playing, and miniature games, as well as accessories. The staff is friendly and encourage you to peruse or even play store copies of games before purchasing. They also have weekly game nights and a large play room for gaming sessions. It is definitely worth a look if you are at all a fan of these type of games.

Sometimes you wanna unleash your inner nerd and your inner spoiled child at the same time. You want a dorky board game to play with your friends when you all realize its far too cold outside to go ice skating as originally planned for your Friday night… and you want it now. No time for waiting around to order such a niche specific thing online… You might then decide to bite the bullet and search for a store where you can buy this Settlers of Catan game that’s been called the«board game of our generation» by The Washington Post and that a few friends elsewhere across the country have been playing and can’t seem to stop. This is the kind of situation you’ll find me in the Louisville Game Shop. The fact that they had not only the original game in stock but the«sequel» type versions of it too AND for a reasonable price(as compared to Amazon) was just outstanding. And then you can go home and sit in the warmth while drinking over trading bricks and sheep till 4 am. As for other games, well I can’t quite remember any of the other titles they had in stock because I’d never heard of any of them. They all seemed to be super hardcore gaming type games, and not the virtual kind. But I can tell you that they’ve got a handy website search feature that allows you to check out what’s in stock and the guy working was really approachable and friendly too.
