This record store is good. It’s quaint and cute and family run(Matt’s mother was attending the counter the day I went in, and she was probably the sweetest person I have ever met). The only thing keeping it from another star is that I haven’t found any of the records on my list. I have fairly obscure music tastes, but I would hope to be able to at least find one or two that I’m looking for. I stopped into Guestroom and found two from my list right away. I’d love to see a few more records available from contemporary artists(across multiple genres).

Amazing. Aside from the killer selection and local flava-flav, the customer service is just plain stellar. Stellar! We walked in and who was there to greet us was none other than Matt’s mom. I don’t know Matt, but I love his mom. Warm almost-spring day followed us in when she welcomed us with her sunny disposition and helpful spirit. Whatever you’re looking for – a damn-good record, a great CD, or mirror neuron experience with someone in a great mood– you’ll find it here. Love this place!

I absolutely love this cute little record shop. It is also attached to a book store and vintage shop. If you’re looking for a cool place to look for vintage stuff. I’d definitely check this out. They have amazing artwork up also.

Yet another of Louisville’s small, hi-qual record shops with a well-tended combination of new records from eclectic reissue labels such as Numero(e.g. Purple Snow compilation and many others). Bins are well organized by era and genre, with a fair amount of local records in the mix. The used records here are well-curated and usually about as clean as you’re going to find where 20 – 50 yo records are concerned. New records are mixed in if not on the small«new» display area as you walk in. On 7÷15÷14, I acquired around $ 100 worth of records including some older jazz compilations(Bethlehem Records) that are not rare per se, but nice to find in your local record bin. Highly recommend this and the other Frankfort Ave record shops as well. We’ve got a real record«row» going in this part of town. I usually organize an outing with this shop the first stop(closes at 7PM), then Modern Cult(closes at 8PM on weeknights), and Guestroom Records(closes at 9PM).

If you don’t know who Matt is, you obviously don’t know records! One of the premier DJs in Louisville, and his shop is on par with his notoriety. An eclectic selection, and he can order you those hard to find new releases(on vinyl too).

This is a small shop with tons of music knowledge. This locally owned shop is set in a unique creative building with other small shops and art studios. If they do not have it on hand Matt will order your favo music if it is available on this planet. Some cool artwork and other unique music flavored items set alongside, vinyl and cd’s of some great music eras. Stop in and support a local treasure and support music for a better life. Check out the other interesting shop owners while your there. Street and a small parking lot.
