Mimi’s Nail Salon & Spa

Beautiful new salon! as soon as you enter you already feel pampered! from the layout, the décor to the friendly and very courteous staff, this place is hands down the best salons I’ve been to in forever. i usually get gel tips and gel filling with gel polish finish, after evaluating my nails and seeing how brittle and week they naturally are Mimi recommended a new product, a lighter product easy on my nails. a dipping process, needless to say I LOVE IT! they look very natural and i loved that no extensive filing was necessary and plenty of colors to choose from. As a customer no one likes to be treated like a number and at Mimi’s salon that is far from how they treat you. very honest and professional people you will find at this salon, very refreshing!

Worst gel polish I have ever gotten. I came in to just get my gel polish changed, no manicure. I was told it would be $ 20 for a polish change which is normal, the gel selection was terrible (maybe 15 colors) so I had to settle on a red I didn’t really want. The color varied from each nail, my pinky was so light it was see through to my thumb that was super dark red and bumpy from the variating amounts of polish on my nails. When I went to pay she told me it would be $ 35 since she had to take off my existing polish. I have never been charged to have my existing polish removed, almost $ 40 for a terrible job. When I went to my usual nail salon to get it removed and changed they were in awe of how terrible a job it was. I don’t ever plan on going back, it was a waste of money.

Mimi’s is a new salon, and definitely worth checking out! Based on my experience, it would be perfect for a girls’ day out, a bridal shower, or just a day of pampering yourself.
I visited recently with a group of girlfriends, and the space is perfect for a day of pampering with friends. Located in a converted old house, many of the walls have been knocked down to create an open floor plan that is conducive for visiting. Still, the place feels warm and inviting and is nicely decorated to create a welcoming environment.
We called ahead to ask, and the salon allowed us to bring snacks and wine for our afternoon of getting glam. A group of us relaxed into the new pedicure chairs; these have heated seats and even a little remote-​control and a place for forearm-​massage — exactly what I was needing! Yelena got to work on my poor feet, which she could tell were calloused from all of the running that I do regularly. A short time later, my feet were smoothed and my toenails twinkling with some fresh polish in a new favorite shade.
I opted not to get a manicure as some of my friends did, but we had such a fun time visiting while we waited for everybody nonetheless. Mimi and her staff were so friendly and offered us complimentary water or diet soft drinks while we were visiting. I made sure to grab a loyalty card (5 stamps gets you $ 10 off of a service), as I plan to be back, either for another pedicure, a manicure, or one of the massages or facials that are also offered by the experts there.

So far so good! I’ve been waiting for a decent nail salon to open up in Lyndon. The prices are a little high for the area but when you see the place and complete a service, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
The massage chairs are awesome, the staff is knowledgable and speak English. They have private rooms for couples massages and couples pedicures. They can also accommodate a large group.
PS Did I mention they provide a complimentary glass of wine to those patrons legal? If one isn’t enough just bring your own bottle and a mason jar.
