2012 Review #51: I’m not sure why, in my head, Nick-N-Willy’s is just slightly better than Papa Murphy’s in terms of take-n-bake. I think it’s the crust and the amount of toppings they pile on. Though, sad as it may sound, the last time I had Nick-N-Willy’s I learned that there can be such a thing as too many toppings. This Nick-N-Willy’s is in King Soopers, though as of right now it is closed, I think during their remodel. My understanding is it will reopen afterward, at least I hope so. If you’ve been to one location, you’ve been to them all. The sizes are pretty self-explanatory, as are the options for their toppings. You can make your own, but their list of creations is pretty comprehensive. Most of the time we get one of the spinach/artichoke/feta/sun-dried tomato configurations, and they are always tasty. However, the last time I had their pizza, it was the«fresh jalapeño burn.» They describe it as: «Everyone likes a „hottie“! Olive oil glaze with crushed red pepper, mozzarella, cheddar/provolone, fresh jalapeños, hot-N-spicy sausage(OR smoked chicken OR seasoned beef), roma tomatoes, black olives, red onion, fresh cilantro» Ours also had, to put it mildly, a pig’s worth of bacon. Now don’t get me wrong, I love bacon, but wow it really made this a rich pizza. We had the smallest size over personal size and man, it was hard to finish. Also, for having tons of jalapeño slices with seeds and ribs, and red pepper, it was not hot. Like, not at all. It needed the heat to cut the richness. I’ve never had salads or extra items from here, but for pizza it’s a good option. Compared to the pizza you can get delivered to your door, it’s definitely worth it to pick it up here and make it yourself.
