I’ve bought 3 bikes from Derek and Drew in 2015, I’ve only received what I would call top rate service. I live in the neighborhood so it is nice to have a shop that typically has what I need in stock as well as the shop keepers that show me new products with no pressure to purchase. The shop is clean and appealing to the eyes. I think OYL has a bike for everyone in stock. I bought my daily commuter bike from the gents and any time it’s not been 100% I roll in and Derek or Drew stop what they are doing and throw it in the lift to fix whatever I had broke. They offer a 1 year warranty on all the bikes they sell and fully stand behind customer service. On your left if the only shop in town I take my bikes.

another great experience at on your left. took my recently acquired klein attitude there to replace the rear cassette and chain. they turned it around the same day. quality of work is excellent. friendly service. come here. you wont be disappointed…

Had two bikes serviced here. Both final bills came in over their original estimate. Quality of work was excellent and very quick turn around on both bikes.

On Your Left is my go to shop. I have purchased several bikes from Drew and Derek. Derek is in my opinion one of the best mechanics in town. They are also one of they few shops in Louisville actively involved with supporting KyMBA Louisville, the local advocacy group who promotes and provides sustainable trails that protect the parks for future users. Pricing on new bikes is very competitive and repairs will be done to your expectations but expect to pay a fair price for quality work.

There are quite a few good bike shops and mechanics in Louisville, but Drew and his crew are second to NONE! They have expanded in recent months to offer an even more extensive selection of off-​road, hybrid, and road bikes. They also have great accessories for affordable prices. Not to mention, Drew went out of his way for my partner who was looking for new wheels. Drew took the time to do research on wheels with her and when they couldn’t find wheels that met her specifications — HE BUILT THEM! Now she has custom wheels at a fraction of the cost. Went in and was shocked with how friendly and helpful the employees were. Pointed me right toward what I was looking for and then left me alone unless I had questions, this is just how I like to shop. They offered to order any parts I needed that they didn’t have in store and where more than happy to help help me get the right sizes for everything on my bike.
They even installed the new handlebar grips I bought free of charge! Will return to this place for all my cycling needs in the future. Great employees, great selection, and great prices.

I took my antique bike here and got a quote for tires and was told I would not need need new tubes just new tires and that they would order them. They held my bike for maybe two days and were done, which was pretty quick! When I came to pick it up I was asked to pay more than I was quoted, cutting me short for my bills, due to them putting new tubes on after I was told it wouldn’t need them. I just kind of went with it because they did straighten my fender for no additional cost, the tubes weren’t too much more and they were really nice. After riding it ONCE my tire blew and would not hold air, due to tubing issue. I wasn’t able to go back in and have them look at it because my bike was stolen. I can’t hold it against them since they didn’t get a chance to correct the issue. They seemed really friendly also so they are getting a three from me. Would have been a 5 if they hadn’t charged me for tubes after telling me I didn’t need em’ and I’m pretty sure I shouldn’t have gotten a flat so soon. I don’t know a lot about bikes and I’m new to this and they didn’t seem condescending or rude to me. All in all I think these guys should be given a chance, they’re a new business and everyone has their bad days.

I have always had fantastic service and customer service here. If they do not have a part in stock they can generally get it within a couple of days. I have and would recommend them to anyone.

Avoid, avoid, avoid ! The shop owner as someone before me has noted is an absolute «ASS» ! Yes, I said it and I won’t be afraid to say it to his face. Go elsewhere with your money, you will be thankful you did.

On Your Left Cycles is to bike shops as Championship Vinyl (from the movie High Fidelity) is to record stores.
Basically, the mechanic is generally very good, but I have had some rather poor interactions with the shop owner who has been pretty curt and/​or condescending.

Top notch service since day one! The new location is great! Quick turnaround on repairs, friendly and knowledgeable staff/​owners that really love to ride. Truly an asset to the cycling community in Louisville.
