Pendennis Club

My wedding reception was there in 1974 and loved the ambiance. Food and reception were wonderful! Looking forward to eating there again soon.

The Old-​Fashion was born here. And I love a good old-fashion…what I don’t like is how much this place is so «old-​fashion». Do I love a beautiful historic building? Yes. Do I love a perfectly made bourbon cocktail? Yes. Do I enjoy the obvious pink elephant in every single corner of this establishment? Absolutely not. It sends chills up my spine.
A men’s club. Check. Out of the 50’s. Check. Painfully unacceptable. Check.
It truly blows my mind places like this still exist. Sad really.

In my many years I have lived in this lovely city, I have yet to enjoy the Pendennis club until today. No, it’s not because I’m a female and it is somewhat of a men’s only club;)
This is a unique club; the atmosphere was that of the 50’s era and I felt like I stepped into the past. The décor was old fashioned country club with fine dining and tons of character. It was a 3 level building set on 2^nd and Muhammad right across from the downtown YMCA.
I chose street parking, because I was unfamiliar that they had complimentary parking in the lot in front. Consider yourself advised.
I would recommend this for a cocktail hour, business meeting or date. They certainly do not skimp on the heavy pours, and make a mean adult beverage. If you are into cigars, this is a good place to visit. They hold many event, and serve as a great place to pop in and dine, a workout or play pool. I thoroughly enjoyed my time spent here, and hope to check-​in again.
