I had some issues with an older Civic so I brought it into Singletary multiple times over two years. The first time was related to the car overheating during the summer when driving for 30+ minutes. After testing, they did not find a cause, and claimed it was normal. I did not experience any more issues after that, but I did not drive it far any more. I was charged $ 45 after an initial quote of $ 90, when no repairs were ever done.
The second time, I had trouble with my car stalling in traffic or not starting. The staff was very friendly, but unfortunately after spending upwards of $ 1000 on multiple trips to the shop, the issue was not fixed and possibly even worsened. The prices for the parts were fair, but no one should have to go to a shop where the issue is diagnosed incorrectly multiple times and pay for things they don’t need. I had to use tows for the car which were not reimbursed — nothing was reimbursed or suggested after all this time and money spent. I understand that these problems are not always solved in one try, but after 3 times, you just don’t know what you’re doing.

Singletary’s is by far the best automotive service center in the Louisville area. Having a Volkswagen it can be very costly when needing repairs. I’ve checked around with other local shops that specializes in Volkswagens and I found that Singletary’s has the best rates. Not to mention they are very honest and upfront with the work they do. Forget the other shops in the area! Take it to Singletary’s. I’ve had them do several repairs and will continue to choose them.
