The Art of Shaving

It is imperative that if you are of the male species and want to look super sexy fly that you go here and above all else, my goodness, you have go there when Robert is working. Robert is the store manager at this location and after my couple of experiences running into him at the store I would never go to another Art of Shaving. I have no doubt that all of the locations are filled with wonderfully helpful people, but Robert just makes you happy (some people may say that this is a marketing strategy because bring nice to people makes them happy which makes them buy more things, BUT I beg to differ — He. Is. Just. Awesome.)
Robert assisted my boyfriend in finding a beard trimmer and because no other customers were in the store he worked with us one-​on-​one. He was patient and joking with us which made for a comfortable environment. I think that sometimes the people make the store and Robert did. Art of Shaving, without a doubt, is a top notch self-​care store for me and that’s an awesome option (especially for us ladies who like our men to look fancy and smell yummy). This store has a variety of items like beard trimmers, razors, beard combs, shaving cream and brushes as well as fancy little racks to hang these items from. This location is smaller than some, but it definitely still has plenty of items to choose from. The shaving creams smell good and… well, who am I kidding… everything is nice there. One of the only complaints I have is that this location doesn’t have a large variety of straight razors, but it’s not a big deal because Robert or some of the other people who work there can help you order this item if you’d like. They are all very helpful and accomodating, that’s for sure.
Ladies, f you are looking for a good birthday or Christmas present for your significant other then look no further. Males, this is a great present to yourselves! So far my boyfriend loves the beard trimmer and comb he got and that’s a testament to the quality of items sold there.

I love the product! All their shaving products are free from synthetic dyes, harsh chemicals, alcohol. This makes the product good for all skin types! (Including my very sensitive skin) I use their pre-​shave oil, shaving cream, and after-​shave balm daily. It makes my skin feel awesome, and I haven’t had any shaving irritation since i started using the product in July. They carry an assortment of razors including safety razors by mühle and merkur.
This is a luxury store. If you are looking for the cheapest deal you can find, you’ll not be likely to enjoy this place. But if you are looking for good quality shaving products made here in the USA, this is your shop!

There’s no way that I’d purchase anything from this store. As I’ve said below in the tips, they overcharge for items that are not exactly quality. Also, it should be noted that P&G owns The Art of Shaving. The same company that owns Gillette. Hand-​crafted razors? No. They really aren’t. Again, look on their website before you go to get an idea of what you will be paying. It’s shocking. If you want to get into wet shaving, go to one of the many forums about it and look around. Look over deals on Edwin Jagger razors, or Merkur razors. Amazon is your friend. Add some Taylor of Old Bond Street cream from London, a fine silvertip brush from Parker, for example, and you still haven’t paid what Art of Shaving is asking. Seriously, do some research and don’t overpay for their name. It’s all gimmick. And also, you can pick up a vintage razor from antique shops, or even family members that by far outstrip what is offered at this store. Amazon even has 100 Feather blades for around $ 23, or Gillette Silver Blues for $ 21.50, also 100 count. Just some advice, from a guy that wet shaves every day and thinks that the Art of Shaving is ripping people off. Please, do some research before you buy from there, and compare prices for their items over others. Badger and Blade is a tremendous resource for this.
