The pizza is phenomenal!!! It was cheesy and all!!! The reason why I didn’t rate it a 5 is because it’s expensive but other than that it’s awesome! Wish they had one in Atlanta

I had lunch here and ordered a garden salad and half a sandwick(hot silician). Both were very tasty and what would be expected. Service was attentive as I was in a party of 7. Unfortunately one of my co-workers pizza was sent to another table, and while everyone else was enjoying lunch, she was waiting for her pizza. They did comp the pizza and when we all left made us up to-go drinks.

This place is one of mine and my boyfriends favorite places. We try to get there and enjoy their pizza and cold beer a couple times a month. We love to play games, more specifically a dice game called 10k. We always go there, have excellent service and play 10k in a booth. We love the surrounding, most weekend nights they have a live band, we really enjoy listening, while doing our own thing in a booth. Majority of the time our beers are being poured for us while we’re walking to a booth. The waiter/waitress’s always make us feel welcome and like family. Thank you WICKS, for all the wonderful memories my boyfriend and I have made there because of your consistent awesomeness!

The pizza was not very good. A lot of dough and not much of anything else. I also got fettuccine and I would have probably enjoyed it, but the bacon just didn’t go very well with the other flavors.

Great place to watch a game and eat some huge ass slices of pizza. They’re like 3″ thick! We got their special covered with everything, can’t recall the name… but it was damn good. Definitely will come back.

Poor service, not the worst in the world just poor. Pizza is just ok. I will agree, the place was packed so, obviously some people like it. It could easily be better.

Had an excellent dinner here. Baked spaghetti with three toppings of my choice– pepperoni, black olives, purple onions. Ordered Wickys Tenders-white chicken pieces baked. Delicious! However I was disappointed with the bleu cheese dressing that came as a dipping sauce. Our party of six had an excellent server. The place was fairly crowded but not too noisy. Definitely will return.

Won’t be giving them my business again. Delivery service was appalling — in fact it didn’t happen. I ordered $ 80 worth of pizza’s on Saturday night, gave CC details, address and was told it would be delivered in an hour. Unfortunately 45 minutes later I was called and told they don’t deliver to my address, given that I have 10 hungry kids and adults — I had no choice, I had to go and pick it up. I was the one inconvenienced. No offer of an apology or discount. Poor service and one lost customer.

We called a day ahead and had a family birthday party of 16– great service, thank you James — and, delicious food. Food came out a little slow… but, that’s always been the case there. I always assume its in order to have such great tasting pizza

The spinach Alfredo pizza is amazing. This is hands down my favorite pizza. I order it every time I’m in town to visit my sister.

Service was quick and friendly, we had a big group(about 25) and were accommodated with an area in the back that was generally to ourselves. I don’t drink alcohol but many in our group felt the beer selection was good. I’m kind of old fashioned when it comes to Pizza and drinks. I remember the days when anywhere in the country you went for pizza always had root beer. It seems this is rarer these days and this was no exception. Most pizza places like this have way too many beers for anyone to try so it always surprises me when I ask for root beer or cream soda that they don’t realize they could capitalize on the high mark-up and offer a few higher end sodas. A few places in some parts of the US continue to do this and realize they can make a great margin on upscale sodas to sell to those who prefer them instead of alcohol. I hope Wick;s figures this out. There are more choices out there than Coke, Pepsi and diet colas. Next was the pizza, I love pizza, even many frozen pizza and I rate them within their respective price range. Compared to other comparable pizza joints I find Wicks, well just ordinary. If you placed it in front of me along with a number of less expensive pizza chains I would have a hard time telling the difference. It was not bad pizza, just not great and when the pizza is priced in the artisan range I expect something special. Will I go back? Sure, good service and good pizza and decent salads too. But the terrible parking options along with the ordinary pizza will give me pause and I will consider other competitors first.

I’ve had Wicks carry out quite a few times but have only really dined in twice. I went with three other people around 5:45 on a Friday, so yeah the place was busy, not filled to the brim, but busy. I got a wickadilla which is a quesadilla using three pizza toppings of your choice, and it was tasty. It came with a plastic tube if sour cream which was kinda strange, and a tiny dollop of salsa. Others ordered pizza and I’m glad I didn’t. It literally took over an hour to get our food. We inquired about the wait time eventually, and were brought the food a few minutes later. It was undercooked in the middle– cold toppings and unmelted cheese. Yuck. But we definitely weren’t going to send it back because lord knows when we’d see it again. I feel bad because Wick’s is a local restaurant in the ever increasing big business vibe of Bardstown rd(so sad, but that’s another story) so I hope people continue to go here but I’ll probably never be back. Even at its best the food is underwhelming to me, and it’s pricy for what you get. Sadly, I wish we would’ve went to Mellow Mushroom.

Good pizza and cold beer! Sports bar type atmosphere. They have great pizza and good beer. In the booths you can customize your own channel, so you can watch what ever you want while sipping on a cold beer and eating yummy pizza. They offer a kids pizza for $ 5.49. They are open late and offer a great atmosphere.

First time here, and was very pleased. Tried the Mighty Meaty, a version of a meat lovers pizza. It was DELICIOUS. Seriously the most amazing meat lovers pizza I have ever had. Friends had The Big Wick. I’m not one for too many veggies on pizza but it sure looked amazing.

I had heard several favorable reviews and was in the area and decide to stop in for dinner. The restaurant itself is dated and somewhat dreary and clearly not the calling card for Wick’s. Nor was the service on my first-ever visit. I waited for the waiter to appear for quite some time and finally someone did come to take my drink order(a manager?). He was very friendly and eventually returned with my drink order and placed my food order. I ordered the 10″ mighty meaty pizza – and it definitely was just that. Mounds of meats(Italian sausage, pepperoni, beef, ham, and bacon) with a heaping helping of cheese. A real meal even for the hungriest appetite. It was very good and full flavored. The crust could have been a tad bit more crisp(my personal preference) but all in all, it was excellent pizza and easy to see to why it’s one of the top-rated pizzas in the city year in and year out. The pizza was served by a different person who also checked back with me so I’m not really sure who my server was supposed to be. The service was not as good as the pizza, but in the end, it was the pizza that mattered.

I’m a Louisville native now living in Florida. EVERYTIME I come home to visit I come here for my favorite pizza! Service is always good, you’re never rushed. In all of my decades eating here the food is always consistently delicious! On a side note, parking can be an ordeal, so if you’re meeting people at a specific time, allow yourself plenty of time to find a parking spot!

Wick’s is a Louisville staple. Everybody, all over the city, knows about Wick’s. Everyone has been to Wick’s. Likes to eat at Wick’s. Wick’s. Wick’s. Wick’s. I rate Wick’s about a 3 ½ star. I thought about rounding down, but the more I thought about it, I feel like Wick’s is more of a 4 star than a 3 star. The Good. The pizza is really nice. I can’t complain here. Nice bread, nice cheese, good amount of toppings, solid selection… The service is good too. I thought about skipping over this, but it shouldn’t go without mentioning. The people that work at Wick’s are friendly. The location is great. You can’t beat it. Walking distance from some of the best bars in Louisville. They have live music playing fairly often. If you like that sort of thing, Wick’s is for you. It’s usually good, old school rock or something similar. Tough to beat. The restaurant has a lot of seating. A LOT of seating. You’ll probably never have to wait for a table. The Bad. The prices are too high for what you get, I’m afraid. This place is somewhat expensive. And I don’t mind paying good money for pizza(see Clifton’s and Impellizeri’s). But Wick’s just isn’t as good as other Louisville pizza joints, in my opinion. I like Wick’s more than all the chain pizza joints, and I like it more than Bearno’s. But that’s probably the list. I wouldn’t drive across town to eat at Wick’s, but if someone wants to go, you won’t have to twist my arm to get me to tag along.

Wick’s is one of my favorite pizza’s in Louisville. Definitely in my top three, which makes it deserving of five stars. The pizza is exactly the way I like it. The crust is just right: not too thick and not too thin. They make an awesome garlic butter that is perfect for dunking the crust. And Wick’s doesn’t skimp on any part of the pizza. There’s a nice, thick layer of zesty sauce. Then comes a pile of delicious toppings. You can never have too many toppings, and Wick’s knows this. Finally, they heavily smother everything in gooey cheese. To finish, the pie is sprinkled with tasty seasonings. Pure pizza perfection, in my book. If this is the kind of pizza you like, you can’t go wrong with Wick’s.

I was made aware(see comments on my first review below) that my opinions may be outdated. I have not been to Wicks in the last couple of months so, take that into consideration, as they have apparently made some changes(that I would probably be in favor of). After my next night at Wicks I will update this review. Also, I have not tried the pizza in at least six months so it is very possible these recent changes have improved what I pointed out in my review. This, too, I will update at some point.

How many times have you dined out and thought, «I must have ordered the wrong thing»? I think that’s what happened the first time I ate at Wicks. My Wife and I were in need of food and booze after a hard work week. Wick’s was there to deliver a fun evening that was greatly needed. One of the things I’m going to like about Louisville is that happy hours are legal. My home state of Illinois outlawed them decades ago. So I was pleasantly surprised to find the $ 2 domestic beer and ½ price appetizers Wicks was offering. The star of the show was the Buffalo Chicken Pizza. I rank this as one of the best Pizza’s I’ve ever ate. And that says a lot considering I was born and raised in Chicago. Also known as the Pizza capital of the world. This monster of a pie had just the right amount of kick to make it mouth watering. I’m glad we gave Wicks another try. We were pleasantly surprised by the fantastic food, cheap happy hour booze and great service. I can’t wait til our next visit.

Food was good. I always order a Stromboli on wheat and an Arnold Palmer. My server Kim was wonderful. Three different managers stopped by asking how everything was. Well there were only 5 tables. Maybe thats why. This place used to be packed at lunch. I don’t know why its not so much now. The third woman came by and again asked how everything was. This time I offered great, except for the country music. She exclaimed that she liked it. I explained it used to be all Rock n Roll, then some manager from Indiana came over and started playing country. She defensively told me she was from Indiana and liked country music. I told her I was from Indiana too. She just stared at me. I felt uncomfortable and decided my experience here today was not enjoyable.
