The real old fashioned barber shop experience of yesteryear. With this place, it’s truly about the experience and the atmospere. That is its true stong point. Nick Kefalas and his shop have been here seemingly forever. Kefaleas, 80, is still cutting hair at his two-chair barber shop, now on 569 Market St., after many, many years at the shop’s original 412 Suffolk St. address, both being in Lowell’s historic Acre neighborhood, This year marks his 55th year in business. Kefaleas’ shop remains a timeless fixture in Lowell, with Sinatra playing on the boombox, along with pictures of Sinatra everywhere across white painted tin plated walls, $ 9 haircuts and service with a smile.
