They are really great with the machines, cleaning it after every drink that they make. I like that they really cared about making their customer’s drink. Their iced vanilla latte, even though there was nothing wrong with it, tasted a bit underwhelming. I don’t know if it was the fact that I usually don’t order those types of plain lattes, but not much is on the menu and just for that day, I did not want to order an iced americano. Also, when I entered the small coffee joint, I smelled a scent of not coffee beans roasting away but of used wet mops(stinky) all over the joint. I’m really sensitive with the sense of smell, so I literally had to wait for my to-go coffee outside. I did not understand how this place was full, literally a crowd of people studying in there.

One of my favorite coffee shops. The baristas are nice and friendly, the price isn’t too bad. The only thing is the location isn’t the best so parking is limited. The inside is small but doesn’t have that overcrowded feel to it. I recommend the homemade chocolate chip cookie with nuts, it’s healthy and delicious. Their chai tea is a bit strong but not bad at all, they deliver it to you in a cute mason jar.

Great cute little place. Warm atmosphere and the best espresso macchiato I’ve had in a long time. Friendly baristas. A variety of beans to choose from. I can definitely recommend this place to a coffee aficionado. Not much on terms of food, though, not that I would expect it there.

This is by far a place of not only coffee, but community. The coffee(cappuccinos are my favorite) is outstanding, brewed with only the finest of skills and products. The atmosphere is also one of the best I have ever experienced. It’s small, quaint seating area, leaves it open to conversation or study.

They did not serve Splenda and its out of the ordinary to ask for cream. Also the coffee shop is very small so don’t bring any more then one person with you.

Yellow House is a great place to be. They have the friendliest baristas! It is on the small side & it can get packed and that’s just something to be aware of. This place is more for«serious coffee drinkers» but oddly most of the things I get here have no coffee so don’t worry if you aren’t a fan of coffee. I love these really great handcrafted sodas they have so that’s one of my goto things along with chai latte, apple cider, or a breve. They also have great blueberry muffins!

If coffee shops are your thing, YellowHouse is a must. I go twice a week and enjoy not only the friendly baristas(who make an effort to learn everyone’s name) but also the delicious drink menu. Their barista collection is a new menu they just rolled out, and I really encourage everyone to try it! There’s a spicy caramel one that I really enjoy. I also love their almond lattes, cold brew coffee, black coffee, and the fresh squeezed lemonade. On Saturday mornings they have a breakfast menu and it is worth getting up early for. I really enjoy the friendly vibe at YH, I always go in a see people I know and enjoy talking to. This is my local hang out, regardless of the time of day. YH is always a great place to study, get some reading in, or do a little homework. Just be prepared to say hi to some people you know and meet new people.

This place is every bit as good as, if not better, than the craft coffee shops dotted all around the Bay Area. Enjoy it. I visited from the previously-mentioned Land of Pretentious Coffee Drinkers to see family, and needed a place to catch up on some office work before my evening flight back out. Some highlights include: 1) The blueberry muffin(best I ever had –Drake) 2) Nice bean selection(bought a bag of one named Wote something? Now unfortunately in my girlfriend’s possession. Very, very good. I «borrowed» some from her bag.) 3) Great V60 pour-over(forget which beans I had) 4) More than sufficient wifi(the capped internet you guys have over there is some huge BS, my condolences) 5) Friendly baristas Only thing I was not a fan of was the cold brew, which was a little too watered down. Prices were alright. I think all told I spent $ 27 to get a sampling of the offerings, and a big chunk of that was the bag of beans I bought as a gift.

This place is an eclectic and lovely little coffee shop in Lubbock. I tried some of the best chai I have ever had here! Not too spicy with a hint of vanilla, made into a soy milk latte. Heavenly. I’ll be back to try their coffee the next time I’m in town.

For the best coffee experience in Lubbock, choose Yellow House. Both in-house and to-go are awesome to keep you caffeinated with some amazing coffee. Get on their rewards program to regularly get free coffee/food! For starters on YH, I’m biased. But I’m probably biased because their staff is so friendly, they make great, great drinks, they have fair prices, it’s easy to get there, and I love going there to work or meet people because of how fun and simple the environment is. To put price into perspective, a cup of coffee might cost similar to what you would pay at Starbuck’s, but this is through a high-quality roaster out of Fort Worth and it is made consistent every.single.time. Plus, they keep things simple and focused on their craft — you are going to get good coffee every time, and that’s what you’re paying for! All their baristas know coffee really well, so they can offer an espresso drink as a cortado, latte, cappuccino, iced coffee, Chemex, and much more. They don’t aim to be experts with syrups, so don’t expect to get your toasted marshmallow raspberry dark chocolate swirl dream with a splash of orange. You have simple, homemade syrups for your beverages without the frills. They have a baker in-house, and the baked goods that they sell are phenomenal. I’d recommend the banana muffin, but I don’t want you to order the last one before I can get it, so don’t try it. They offer a Saturday morning breakfast that I’m excited to try this weekend, as I hear it’s delicious. Sign up for their rewards program through Square(when you check out), and get $ 5 off your purchase after visiting 10 times. I can proudly say I’ve racked up quite a few $ 5 off coupons. Wifi is free and there are a fair amount of plugs. To get the wifi password, ask one of the baristas. To respect both Yellow House and other patrons interested in buying coffee and spending time there, though, please, please buy a drink. With the limited seating, it’s not fun when someone stops in to just use the wifi, not interested in supporting the business, too. Parking is efficient, but might be tight. Honestly, if there’s not a place to park, there’s likely not a seat inside! This usually happens during mid-Saturday mornings, finals week, and other popular events. Early morning(6am) and evenings up there are calm!

Headed to Yellow House Coffee this morning on a mission… specifically, biscuits and gravy. They did not disappoint. Yum. So delicious. Even my vegan dude was plenty happy with Veggie Sausage and Apple Butter offerings. And the biscuits… oh my goodness! Buttermilk biscuit heaven. Let me just add the coffee, well, just absolutely outstanding! Thank you Yellow House. We applaud you for this perfect start to our Saturday morning.

Yellowhouse Coffee, where the coffee’s always fresh. They get their beans sent in from the Dallas area I believe and they are always fresh. Everything that I have tried from Yellowhouse(Lattes and Drip Coffee once) were fantastic especially for the Lubbock area. Baristas and owners are always incredibly friendly. If it isn’t too busy they aren’t opposed to having a conversation with you regarding coffee or some other subject. Even if it is busy they will probably still have these conversations with you. Yellow House also has a reward system set up. After your 10th purchase you get $ 5 off the next purchase. It is linked to the card you use. I’m not sure if you can combine if you use multiple cards(Maybe I should ask next time?) The lattes are always great. They have never been to sweet(for me at least or anyone else I have talked to). I would bet there espresso would be great as well but I have never had it straight from Yellow House before. They have live music from time to time and that can be quite fun. The atmosphere is really laid back. However, for studying it sometimes can be a little loud(Bring your headphones!) The space is relatively small but don’t let that scare you away. There is plenty of seating for individuals who frequent this location! If you like Coffee and live in Lubbock or you are visiting Lubbock stop by Yellowhouse!

Had a shot of espresso and a Cortado. Both were extracted and built beautifully to their full aroma and note profiles. Nice craft coffee, good job Garrett.

Great service; great atmosphere and much needed specialty coffee in the Lubbock area. Beautiful custom Strada; serving Oak Cliff Roasters from Dallas — some of the best in Texas for sure. Their Pourover options are always great as well.

I continue to love this coffeeshop more and more every time I go there. I appreciate that the baristas take the time to get to know my name and know about me since I’m in at least on a weekly basis. They will solely have my coffee and dirty chai business as much as possible for as long as I live in Lubbock.

There is nothing wrong with this establishment. I have nothing bad to say. Nothing. The service is nice and friendly. The people who work here are coffee kings and queens. They know what they are doing, but don’t make you feel silly for not being a coffee connoisseur. The atmosphere is very home and welcoming. This is one of those places that if you went everyday for two weeks you would make friends with the regulars and become one yourself. Every one here is very friendly and my coffee snob friends tell me they have the best coffee in town. You can even buy their coffee beans to take home for only a few dollars more then your usual grocery store coffee. They always have up local art work. I like that you can sit at a bar like area by yourself, or you can find a long table that seats 10. It is a small space, but they are utilizing every inch. They usually have live music at least once a week. I love the artists that typically play. My personal favorite was an older man and woman on a cello and violin singing things like«Rocking Robin». It just instantly put me in a happy mood. They also just finished their back patio just in time for the perfect weather of Lubbock, before it gets unbearably cold and windy. All in all Yellow House makes me feel good and I like that.

Yellow House Coffee is the best coffee in Lubbock hands down. Their baristas make sure to make each drink excellently each time. I’m not usually a fan of espresso drinks, but I love their Cortado. My wife and I regularly stop by for a pourover as well.

I was in town for two days and couldn’t decide which coffee shop to work remote from, they all seemed so cozy and interesting… so I tried them all. This one has a more retro feel to it. They make their own syrups in house(which are delicious) and they have plenty of work space. The baristas are very friendly and chill. I got a vanilla caramel latte which was very satisfying. I would definitely recommend this location. Also, there is a great BBQ place right across the street you could swing into for a killer brisket sandwich. :)

This is, hands down, my favorite coffee shop in Lubbock. Can we just talk about the ambiance for a sec? You walk in to this grey & yellow shop and are immediately greeted by smiling faces. These are some of the nicest employees that I’ve encountered. There are multiple tables, chairs, and outlets throughout. The shop is usually quietly buzzing with people having coffee with friends or studying. I also love the little string of lights that they have lined the ceiling with. It’s adorable. They periodically have live music. It makes me nostalgic for Austin, and I love it. Not many places in Lubbock offer that. Now to the coffee. It’s the best. The best the best the best. I love coffee and a good house drip is my best friend. They get their beans from Oak Cliff Coffee Roasters frequently and it’s always so fresh. I’m also a fan if their pastries that they bake in house. Obviously I’m just raving. You guys get the picture. Yellow House brings a special touch to Lubbock. I’m thankful that they decided it was worth the risk to open here. Oh and I forgot to mention that the owner is a red raider! Guns up!
