This is NOT Jamesport Brewing Company. This is a whole ‘nother animal. My MIL/PIL were told of a James-something-or-other bar that was worth checking out. So we walked down James Street and this was the first bar we came across and the name sounded familiar. We walked in to this creepy guy who had absolutely no social skills. There was absolutely nobody inside, which was very odd for a busy weekend day. But we took seats and gave it a shot. The server who seated us asked us what we wanted to drink. I asked about test sampler flights of beer and he looked at me like I was crazy. My FIL asked for a Labatt, and the server tried correcting his pronunciation! And the server didn’t even know if they had it! They didn’t have chocolate milk that our 3-year-old wanted, but the server said they had lemonade — OK, lemonade it is. But the lemonade tasted like it was carbonated water mixed with sour bitters! It was the strangest thing. Needless to say, we hopped out of that dump, left our beverage money(why a tip was left I’ll never know, I left earlier to foot it over to the real Jamesport Brewing Company to make a reservation). There was a 30 minute wait, but it was WELL worth it. I felt bad when I heard other people saying«That’s a long wait, why don’t we try the bar down the street?» I wanted to tell them no, but figured that’s the only way this place gets any business. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. It’s just creepy.

Service is ok. The beer are pretty good. They don’t tell you that some of there desserts with alcohol in them, aren’t cooked off. Food is not bad.

Service is awful. It has ruined whatever our food might taste like if we ever get it. Could just be a bad server though… everyone else around us is eating and the food looks good.

Dont sit by the coed bathroom, unless you want to witness the kitchen area where food sits under the heat lamps. I watched our waitress put her uncovered hand on each plate to test warmth & put one back to «cook». Terrible all around! I also witnessed the bar spill a drink all over a guy and then hand him a roll of paper towel while they laughed. The lazy and unattentive staff really brings this bar/restaurant down. Maybe an okay place to grab a drink, but never ever dine here! This place is unsanitary, disrespectful and an all around bust. Stay awake or enter at your own risk!

I love this bar! The upstairs patios have an amazing view of the marina during the day, and during the summer they have a little tiki bar outside. The staff is super fun, and everyone in here is warm and fun. The live music venues they have are nice. Lots of local artists. They have Kariokee nights, and DJ’s sometimes also Their drink specials, and food specials can’t be beat. It’s a great place to hang out during the day, or party at night. Skip and Carol are always around which is cool. You don’t get to meet owners of a business very often, and they’re really friendly and fun. Be sure to try the smothered chimichangas! It’s HUGE, but they’re so good, and they make their green chili fresh!

Just average, but I suppose it’s good for Ludington. It seems to be a popular local hangout, but«outsiders» don’t seem to be very welcome… or maybe everyone is subjected to cat call. We came in as a musician was just leaving the stage. There weren’t any open tables at first, but they opened up quickly. The food was average and a bit bias towards imitation Mexican. Portion sizes are huge. They definitely get a gold star for staying open in the winter until a reasonable hour unlike the rest of the town.
