As far as burgers go, Five Guys is a solid choice. It’s a chain, so you can find them most places, and their quality is consistent. I like the choice of condiments, and their fries are good(I always go Cajun). Remember, the regular burgers are doubles, kids. Also, you can get it bunless, which is great.

We ate here Sunday evening and the hamburgers and fries were delicious! We highly recommend it. Only down side was the 10 minute song«Funk Soul Brother» on full blast while we ate. A little bit of that song goes a long way.

One of the better burger places in town, BEST fries without question. Burgers actually have a flavor that is enjoyable, not just the cheapest meat that can be shaped into a patty. All the different toppings that you could want, just wish they had more choices in cheese. Fries are browned, slightly crisp on the outside, but very creamy inside. Haven’t ever had a problem since this location opened.

Sorry Guys, I am a burger & hot dog person but neither are exceptional at this location. The last burger I got here was like someone would throw together at a fund raiser!

Okay this is getting ridiculous now. This is the third complaint in three visits. The manager of this store needs to be retrained. My wife enjoys Five Guys Burgers and even after our last complaint about butt-boy, was willing to go back for more. This evening we ordered a bacon double cheeseburger and a Little Bacon Cheeseburger. The receipt even has the ingredient written as { { { { BACON } } } } under both items. So, can someone explain to me why the WASNOBACON on either burger? Also, the GRILLED onions were not grilled, they were raw. What is up with this store. Actually, don’t answer that, I don’t care. Three screw ups in three meals. We are done with you, its a matter of principle. And be sure, we will tell all of our friends.

Great food; generous portions. The prices could be a little better but I’m hooked regardless.

There are plenty of places where you can get a cheap burger. At Five Guys, you can get a great burger. The fries are amazing, too. I order on line and bypass the wait. Try it!

«It’s not good unless it’s messy», I always used to say when it came judging burgers. Home made style burgers with a modest price. Example; two single burgers, two regular sized drinks and a shared regular fries came to seventeen dollars and some change. Word to the wise; if you are only moderately hungry order your burger«small» which is a regular sized, single patty burger, other wise you will end up with a double meat burger and no room for dessert. Burgers are also served plain, nothing included until you order your condiments and toppings, so you can skip asking if something is served with onions. Once you place your order your number is yelled out sans loud speaker, so pay attention. Grab a stack of napkins because you’ll need more than just one. The atmosphere here is energetic at peak hours; a line forms nearly out the door while the staff is hustling to complete orders. It really is amazing to just sit and watch. The atmosphere here is almost retro with a touch of industrial; red and white checkerboard tiles, painted red exposed air conditioning ducts. It’s a clean dining environment. However, I do think the restrooms need a small expansion, especially during peak hours. Only one urinal, one toilet, one sink and a locking door are provided for the men. When it’s busy you may be stuck waiting in line. I don’t understand why people think every burger joint needs to feature a dollar menu. This is one of THOSE places where it’s nice to NOT have kids running ragged and you won’t find a gimmicky toy made in China at the bottom of your bag. If it’s a dollar menu you’re looking for then you know where to go. So go! The menu here is straight up burgers, single or double meat with a huge array of toppings and condiments(BBQ sauce and A-1 among them). An order of fries came in a beverage type cup, overflowing into the bottom of the bag. These are the type of fries you might find at a carnival and definitely taste awesome with malt vinegar on them if that is to your liking. I was pleasantly surprised to find malt vinegar bottles lined up next to the soda fountains. A regular order of fries will comfortably feed two people. You may also order them with Cajan seasoning or opt to get the seasoning on the side if your dining partner is not into a bit of spice. All in all I am happy that Lufkin finally got a Five Guys Burgers. It’s nice to have a city chain in this smaller town. My only hopes is that Lufkin residents and travelers alike will appreciate and frequent this place as they really do offer one of the better burgers out there from a chain. In the meantime while in Lufkin I will happily grab my burger, take a seat and feed off the energy while people watching. Enjoy! ~A Customer, not an employee or professional critic.
