Just ordered $ 30 dollars worth of food the only two items worth ordering and eating were the Eggrolls and Wonton soup. The rest of the food was not even edible for a Rat. If you are looking for quality Chinese food look elsewhere. So disappointed with the decline of quality in food from this place.

This is the best Chinese food I’ve had in a long time. Not heavy on the salt, not greasy, it looks reliably clean and fast delivery. I typically get the dumplings and any lunch special, they all taste fresh and delicious.

I meet my gluten-free friend here for lunch regularly as we both work nearby. Very nice people, reasonably clean place and good food. Love the chicken w/eggplant in garlic sauce and their hot & sour and wonton soups are great.

I don’t usually eat Chinese food, but when I do it’s at Oriental Garden. I’ve eaten here about 20 times in my life(the last 20 times I’ve eaten Chinese), and I think it is the best in the area. Possibly the best I’ve had period. Above all, they have the best spare ribs. They are truly amazing, and are worthy of the trip alone. Beyond that, they are strong across the board. Soups, chicken/beef w/broccoli, general tsos, lo mein, sushi, etc… It’s all really really good. I think what I like most about Oriental Garden is that their food tastes good, while not relying on salt. Many other chinese restaurants over salt their food to create flavor. Oriental Garden keeps it fresh and flavorful without the salt, and provides you with a great value(you get a ton of food for the price). Deliver is fast. Takeout is easy with free parking on-site. Enjoy!

Best Chinese food in Lyndhurst — by far! The standard American Chinese food dishes(chicken and broc, general tsos, boneless spare ribs, lo mein, etc.) are uniformly excellent, but Oriental Garden also has delicious and affordable sushi that we have a hard time passing up when we order. My girlfriend’s favorite dish is the orange chicken, and I almost inevitably order the chicken with eggplant in garlic sauce. Both meals offer generous portions of chicken and come with pork fried rice and an egg roll. Can’t go wrong! Also, OG has free delivery and is open late — perfect for 11PM cravings.

This review is only for the Chinese food side of the shop. I usually judge my Chinese food preference for this style of shop on it’s Young Chou fried rice and see if it comes with white or saffron rice. For the quick typical americanized I had, the food was delicious. They didn’t over use the soy in the sauté, and the fried rices had generous portions of meats and shrimp in them. I would eat here again without hesitation.

Good Chinese food in this area. All of the rices are always fresh. The bourben chicken and the general tos are the best! The parking is around the corner but we normally just park right outside to pick up of our food.

Ehh its a typical chinese joint that serves sushi. Never tried the sushi and dont plan on it. The crab ragoon were a little too fried, the lobster balls are weird – you get a lot for your buck but clearly theyre not home made. I was digging the friend veggie dumplings, altho i wish they had more mushrooms in them. Prices are cheap and parking is pretty good. Open late !(11 pm).

This is hands down my favorite Chinese place. I used to think the China Star in Fort Lee was number 1, but now this is it. Their boneless spare ribs are simply the best I’ve ever had. The singapore mei fun is also top notch, very good amount of flavor and just right. Other dishes such as beef and broccoli and general tso are also as good as I’ve had anywhere else. There is no other place that I eat Chinese food from.

they are just okay. they are very rude when they deliver to our business. they are impatient and walk past the front desk. I can’t stand that. they need to be taught etiquette. the food isn’t that great either– mu shu pork is watery. if i had to order I would. but prefer the one on Stuyvesant.

Very good Chinese. It’s fresh, not salty, and you can’t beat their lunch special. s We moved out of the area a few years ago and travel back(30 minutes) to periodically get their food.

I have been a customer of Oriental Garden since the day they opened. The very first day! They are a super nice family that run a clean restaurant and serve plentiful, reasonably priced delicious Chinese food.

I recently moved down the street from this local Chinese take out joint. I was surprised to see a bunch of authentic dishes on the menu such as salt and pepper shrimp and lobster with ginger and scallions. I ordered take out from here the second week that we moved in. We ordered spring rolls, chicken and corn soup, young show fried rice, crispy orange flavored beef and an order of shrimp with ginger and scallions. The spring rolls were all vegetables and crispy. I prefer the ones that have pork in them(not egg rolls) but the ones made at dim sum joints. The soup was really tasty, it had very delicate small pieces of white meat and corn in a chicken broth with egg. I recommend it. The young chow fried rice was pretty good and had a solid amount of shrimp in it. Only thing is the rice is yellow instead of white. Typically the color is always white with this style. Overall it was tasty. The orange beef was pretty good, it’s a standard dish at most take out joints and this one was pretty much on par with them all. It had a nice crispness yet was still quite tender. The ginger and scallion shrimp were lightly fried with their shells still on and were then tossed in a ginger scallion sauce. The dish is not on the menu yet they had no problem to accommodate to make it for me. The ginger and scallion sauce was spot on compared to what they make at places such as Qin Dynasty or Noodle Chu both in Parisppany and service authentic Cantonese food and dim sum. The only different I would ask next time to have them prepare the dish with shell-less shrimp. I ordered everything over the phone for delivery. The food arrived approx 30 minutes later. Overall this is a pretty solid take out restaurant and likely will become my neighborhood Chinese place when I want Chinese delivered to me. I will be digging deeper in the coming weeks to see how their other appetizers and dishes are such as their dumplings and salt pepper shrimp.

I had the Mongolian Beef and Hot n Sour Soup for lunch, big chunks of tofu in the soup, served hot. The lunch was made to order, the beef was pretty good, lots of onions and mushrooms… I’ll return but I’m still looking for a good chinese place in the Lyndhurst area for a quick lunch.

I’ve ordered from Oriental Garden many, many times over the course of several years. I’ve also eaten in their small restaurant. What I like most about them is that they are consistently good. The staff is consistent, the cooks are consistent… I can’t say I’ve ever had a bad dish. I ask them to go light on the sauce and oil and they honor my request. The delivery is good, although one of the guys will give you a dirty look if you don’t tip him well. I’ve had chicken/broccoli, chicken/cashew nuts, dumplings, pork fried rice, fried chicken, lo mein… everything is always good and fresh. It is definitely the best chinese place in Lyndhurst.

This place is basically typical Chinese take out place but has large eat-in section and some Japanese dishes. Run by Chinese chefs. I had chicken with string beans and taste good but not a note worthy difference to other take out style restaurant.

This place is so good! I’ve been back three times in the last month! The prices is so reasonable! Fast service and friendly staff! The lunch menu has many selections and it comes with a soda! A great 5.00 lunch! The orange chicken had so much flavor and kick, it also came with pork fried rice! The garlic chicken with veggie was great as well, the veggie was cook to perfection. I would suggest take out or delivery if your feeding your family, but if it’s just you or your friend it would be okay. They have free delivery service for orders $ 10.00 and up!!! So that is always a plus, on raining days and snow days!
