Even when this place was«open» for business it was open sporadically, but this place has been closed for business since December of last year.

I have to say, this is one of the best dining experiences I have had in my life. The staff was friendly and extremely knowledgable of the menu. The service was speedy and the food was cooked perfectly. This is by far one of my favorite pizzerias in the northwest. I recommend the taco pizza, it’s exquisite.

I like the pizza, I really do. But… Yikes! They amount of times I’ve placed an order for pick up to come in 20 minutes later(they said it would be ready in 15 minutes) for them to not even have the order started… Yikes. The lobby wasn’t even pizza, maybe there was one table there with people?

Truly mediocre food. It looked absolutely delicious, I wish the flavor matched. Perhaps if it didn’t look so good, I wouldn’t of been so disappointed. Either way, it was lacking in flavor, and tasted low-quality. Not terrible, definitely edible, but not great, nothing to write home about.

I, unfortunately, was pretty disappointed. I heard from a few co workers that this place was great. however. my experience was the opposite. The service was bad, it didn’t seem like there was much going on in the house keeping department, and the pizza? Not horrible, not great, and not going back to this place again.

Tried their taco pizza, it was very good and done right. Also tried their pineapple and Canadian bacon, that was also very tasty. Good crust and it was baked well, Burned the cheese a little which is perfect. Owner was friendly and service was prompt.

This place changed owners a while ago and it’s gone down hill since. Half of a good dining experience is the experience. Time after time it’s awkward and disappointing. This family owned business is missing the mark and shows no sign of being aware of where they’re going wrong so I predict it won’t improve. Sad.

Mediocre at best. Let’s start with the service, since that can make or break the experience and in this case it definitely broke it. The young woman who took my order was pleasant enough. I could tell she was trying to do her best since it was only her and the extremely grumpy gentleman working the entire restaurant. The older gentleman was very rude to her, barking out orders, and showing zero appreciation. For the food, I can summarize it in one word — meh. Too much cheese that was clearly processed, and overall under seasoned. I think I could have done better making a frozen pizza at home. Also order the garlic twists which were ok, but I also got a side of pizza sauce that was served ice cold. Is that how they would server it had I dined in? Overall, won’t be back.

Decent food but terrible customer service. Waited in the lobby to be helped for 15 minutes with no one else in the restaurant. Once I finally got their attention the manager asked if I was joking when we said we were waiting long. Why would I make that up? Super unapologetic going forward as well. Unprofessional staff for sure.

Great service. Super fresh ingredients. Very tasty. Stopped in after work around 5:00 on a sunday. No one was here which is usually not a good sign. The weather was super icy so I think that is why there weren’t many cutomers. The food and service are worthy of being packed every day.

Sadly this place just disappoints. They are obviously trying hard but their pizza is simply not on par with other local offerings(of which there are many). I love pizza but Cactus Jack’s is doing it wrong. The dough is too salty and oily and the conveyor oven used doesn’t cook the dough well. The pizza has that wet, soggy softness right under the sauce that is unappealing. This is a fatal flaw for my taste. The cheese also has a plasticy texture — it’s hard to tell if it’s the quality of the cheese or the conveyor oven. Since changing owners a couple of years ago the service has become very inconsistent. I have have visited several times recently hoping my bad experiences were just flukes but not so. Sometimes a friendly attentive woman serves, sometimes a new high-school age person(who isn’t old enough to pour beer), and sometimes the surly owner who always seems to have some chip on his shoulder.(Maybe he just ate his own soggy pizza!). With several good alternatives in the area(Brooklyn Brothers, Mod Pizza, Diamond Knot) Cactus Jack’s can’t compete.

I tried Cactus Jack’s a long time ago when they were new. It was a forgettable experience. Not terrible, but nothing that left me asking for more. I felt like ordering delivery this weekend, so I thought I would give them another chance. Strike 1: They don’t deliver anymore. Not an absolute requirement for a pizza place, but pretty significant. Strike 2: I attempted to order pasta(offered on their online menu). I was told that this was no longer available either. My order ended right here. If a restaurant can’t be bothered to keep their online menu up to date, I have to wonder what else they can’t be bothered with? Well, unfortunately I can’t be bothered to go there to spend my money.

11⁄2014 Update: the new owner is finally going out of business. I guess Karma really can bite you in the azz. 7⁄2014: Do not give this establishment your money. This establishment is prejudiced against handicapped people. The owner of Cactus Jack’s, «John», verbally attacked my daughter and her 3-year old son out on the sidewalk in front of this restaurant after she parked legally, with a posted handicapped placard, in one of the handicapped spots. My daughter has MS. Some days are better than others. It is not always obvious that she has a physical ailment, but«John» took it upon him self to scream at her and her little boy from about 20 feet away, call her filthy names, threaten to call the police on her and God knows what else. She was very upset and my grandson was crying while this cretin was screaming at them. DONOT give this establishment your money. I know we never will. We will also be reporting them to the ADA.

I ate there the first time this afternoon. I would say the pizza was mediocre at best. the crust tasted like cardboard. Not much else to say other that I’ve had better pizza.

Food: the margarita pizza was good, dough cooked well, and taste a tad bit bland but over all great mix of ingredients. A little more flavor and some spices may bring out the best tastes. The wings were yummy for sure, good thing I got them. Service: was very friendly and prompt. Food came out warm and fast. Prices: a little on the high end, I can see potentials in raising the food bar a little but up to match the prices. Final say: overall I recommend this place.

These guys have been making it happen up here for quite a while now. Their prices have gotten to be really good, especially if you pick up. I got a large that fed four people reasonably well for under $ 15 yesterday. Gotta like that. There’s a whole lot to choose from in this parking lot, especially by Mukilteo standards; Vietnamese, yaki, and the only Hungarian place for miles. But Cactus Jack’s holds its own. Inside, they’re kind of a family sports bar type place, with flat screens everywhere but mostly multigenerational groups at all the tables. The staff is incredibly sweet and charming, and make you feel welcome and comfortable right away. That seems to also apply at all the nearby spots, just for the record. The pizza itself is rock solid, though I usually like a drier crust myself. But their cheese and toppings are great and the flavors together are everything you could want, especially at such a great price. Definitely be back.

Pros: Great atmosphere, interesting choices, nice staff Cons: just not great, I probably won’t be going back for that quality and that price. If it was cheaper maybe I would. Everything was undercooked and chewy. The flavors just weren’t there except for the pesto bread, which had ok flavor. I also had the pizza and the s’mores Calzone. Both were chewy, undercooked and lacked flavor. Also, I had to correct the cashier three times on my change. Sigh.

Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum and yum!!! Oh wait, did I forget, YUM!!! That pretty much sums up Cactus Jack’s. I have heard about this place from one of my classmates for the past three years. He had Nothing but high praise for Cactus Jack’s and everyone he took there would agree. So today I finally made the decision to give it a try. A group of my classmates and I arrived just as they opened at 11 am for lunch. Right off the bat when I walked in the door I was hit with the wonderful aroma of delicious smelling pizza. The restaurant isn’t very big but really cute and has a great relaxing feeling to it. I guess the previous owners just sold the place to some new owners. For all the regulars don’t worry because everything is staying the same. After hearing about how good the hot grinders are I went ahead and ordered the You Don’t Know Jack grinder. The grinder came with jalapeño ranch, grilled chicken, bacon pieces, cheddar cheese and a bag of chips for $ 5.90. Once I got the grinder I was told to put on some zing spice. The zing spice is a spicy blend of spices and is absolutely delicious. The grinder itself was scrumptious and had great flavor. The other guys ordered the meatball grinder and that looked amazing. Along with the grinders they have pizza, appetizers, wings, calzones, salads, pastas, gourmet specials and desserts. Plus it looks like they just added a new bar with some beer on tap and wine. The staff is very friendly and we talked to the previous owner who was a sweetheart. She was very nice to talk to and made the experience very enjoyable. Great place and I will be back for sure.
