It is not very good in term of food quality but I did expect much since it is food court foods. I have tried the Korean noodles soup and a bit disappointed

This restaurant may not be the best Chinese that you can find, and TBH, I was fairly skeptical about eating here since some of the other restaurants at that Hmart food court were let downs. However, I found a dish here that I can say that I really like. The dish is the Volcano Seafood noodle soup. I love spiciness and at a very high level. Well this place does it right. The volcano version is even more spicy than their 5 star of the regular seafood noodle soup. It’s not a joke. You have to be a pro to eat this super spicy dish, but I love it. There’s 5 levels for spiciness too and I only do 1 to 2 though it’s super hot still. The only downside to this place has to be surrounding food court and seating area. Unfortunately, it is not well bussed especially when busy which is more often than not. Also I the staff here is very sweet and when not busy will bring the food out to you. All in all, I’d say if you’re on a budget and love spiciness and seafood then this dish is a must try!

It is located inside of Hmart, a large Korean grocery store chain. Unfortunately, the surroundings is what really brings down the stars for this place. The restaurant itself is not bad and really do like the cashiers. The food court is under staffed for keeping the cafeteria clean and freeing up more tables for the customers. The volcano seafood noodle soup(jjam-bbong) is awesome! I like that dish at most places anyway, but here they really know how to make it spicy. Seriously, I love spicy, and at most other Asian restaurants I can do 5 out of 5 spicy and not phase me. Here the Volcano soup, I only do «level 1» out of 5. I can do up to 3 but it is much more enjoyable at 1. Know this is still very spicy and they don’t give refunds, because most people assume level 1 is tolerable. However, i doubt most people can’t handle this. This is like the equivalent of ordering 11 out of a 5 scale spiciness at most other restaurants. If you like spicy but not crazy spicy then I’d highly recommend the regular spicy seafood soup, not the Volcano. FYI another good dish is the sweet and sour pork(ttangsooyook) — give it a go!

This place has really gone downhill in the last year. They’ve been drastically cutting costs while raising prices. Today I got the jajang and it was terrible. The noodles have changed and they’ve even cut the amount given down by about 1⁄3. They seem to give you the same amount of sauce but it’s basically brown water after how watered down they make it. It turned my noodles into a noodle soup instead. Won’t be coming back here again.

I took one look at the menu of this place and was like«man, everything here is too expensive to be in a food court.» So I ordered one of the cheapest noodle soups I saw. It was okay, but that doesn’t change the fact that prices in general tend to be a little high here. It’s supposedly some sort of combination between Korean and Chinese food. A lot of their items are apparently Americanized Chinese food with some Korean flair. The spicy noodle soup I got seemed entirely Korean. Interestingly enough, these noodles were green. In fact, I could swear that they’re identical to Nongshim instant ramen. The seafood and vegetables were a nice addition to the spicy soup, but it still reminds me too much of instant noodles at the end of the day. The meal didn’t quite make me full, and I don’t feel like coming again to pay for some of their more expensive items. Oh well. At least the girl serving me was cute.

Decided to switch up lunch during our trip to H-Mart. I’ve seen and heard so much about jajangmyun and really wanted to try it at this restaurant. I’ve made the dish at home and it tasted nothing like what I found here. The sauce was very bland, and the green noodles had a very strange flavor to them. The tangsuyuk was also disappointing. The pork was chewy and not very crisp, and again the sauce was bland. Am hoping to find another restaurant in the area to try these two items.

This place isn’t as bad as people say. Not anymore anyway. Price is good and the food is pretty authentic to «Korean-Chinese» style Chinese food lol. Black bean noodles and spicy seafood noodle soup are pretty good(and authentic). Of course not as good as I have had them in Korea(or even LA and San Jose, CA) but not bad really. I give it a solid 3 star rating.

Out of sheer laziness, I have ordered from this place when my parents order black bean noodles here, but with my most recent visit, I can safely say that I’m done with this place forever. I can’t recall the exact name of the dish I ordered – it was some sort of stir fried chicken and veggie dish, and it straight up tasted like chemical-laced sink water. I really don’t know what kind of sauce was used for it: orange, kung pao, something else? I’ll never know, because all I can remember is the vomit-inducing taste of tainted water. Gross. The somewhat comical kicker on top of that was that it took them over 15 minutes to make it, probably because no one ever orders it. Looking back now, I should have canceled my order right then and there. Absolutely one of the worst meals I’ve ever, EVER had. If I wasn’t such a non-confrontational person, I definitely would have asked for my money back.

I have seen Malri Hyang pop up as a spot on many of my Unilocal friends check-ins. The check-ins were for the Federal Way location, not this one in Lynnwood. Noticeably, I see a huge difference in ratings between the two. Nevertheless since I was shopping at H Mart in Lynnwood, I decided to give this location a try. For those unfamiliar with Malri Hyang, it is a Chinese/Korean eatery at the H Mart food court. The signature dish for this sort of restaurant typically are the black bean noodles. And that is what I came in for. Tried the jja jang mein with pork($ 6.99). I have had packaged versions of this dish, though I can not recall ever trying a restaurant version of it. The portion size of this dish was huge. I definitely left very full after eating. They give you a huge helping of green noodles here. As well as a side of takuan(pickled daikon radish) which I guess is used as something of a palate cleanser. While the meal was filling, the actual black bean sauce is disappointing. Very watered down. The dish was full of cucumber and onions, but very little of actual pork. And the pork is strangely of the diced variety resembling char siu. It would have been better if this dish used ground pork instead. The jja jang mein here is not the greatest. Though not inedible either. I am giving this place an okay rating based on the bang for your buck and given it is a food court restaurant. Just be sure to have the right level of expectations if you decide to try it out.

Food here has never been good, overloaded with MSG. But the location inside H-Mart makes this place convenient. But today I ordered sweet and sour pork. After eating several pieces, I realized it was extra chewy. So I took a bite and saw what I had been eating. I found that the pork was grossly under cooked. Enough said.

There were tons of Korean ppl in line for this place, so I thought I would copy them and order what they ordered, which was the half and half — half black bean noodles and half spicy seafood noodle soup. I haven’t eaten black bean noodles a whole lot in my life, so I don’t have much to compare Malri Hyang’s version to, but I didn’t think it was horrible… just way too many onions and a little watery. The seafood noodle soup broth was so salty and tasted like Shin Ramyun broth. For real. The noodles and seafood were overcooked as well. I will not return, obvi.

This place’s food is disgusting. MSGOVERLOAD! Ever since the owners of Tsingtao on Highway 99 in Edmonds switched ownership, I haven’t been able to find a decent place to find jajangmien or jjangpong. This place has been around for a lot longer but still definitely does not fit the void. I feel like there aren’t any decent places for Chinese-Korean food in this area, and this place in the H-Mart food court proves it. I’d rather get a shin bowl from H-mart and eat that than the pile of crap that they serve here.

Worst chajiangmyun I’ve ever had. Watery, flavorless sauce in the chajiangmyun and the tangsuyook tastes like badly breaded coarsely large sliced tough meat. The breading, meat and sauce leave a lot to be desired. There’s some fierce competition not far away but I don’t want them getting too busy at lunch time heh.

I like this place, tried to order the ‘Volcano’ seafood soup, the cashiers eyes went very wide in surprise/shock, and she says«No REFUND you order Volcano» and she insisted I order something milder, I went along, ordered the seafood soup, ‘xtra spicy’ it was ok, the noodles were fantastic tho. I will try this place again.

Good old comfort food. Korean style Chinese food has a special place in my heart, sweet and crispy throw together with some serious spice and a sweet that isn’t overly acidic. Generally my go to combo is either C01(half jajangmyun) with orange chicken or the fried chicken or I go for the more widely popular N04… Good olé jajangmyun/jambong combi. Can’t really score the ambiance here since this is an H Mart food court restaurant, so while lacking in date worthy atmosphere, it makes up for it with good quality grub. Anyone who have ever eaten at a food court before seems to link orange chicken with Panda Express. Super sweet and soggy, Malri Hyang’s orange chicken is not. Crunchy little friend bits of chicken, covered in a sweet but not overly acidic or overpowering flavored sauce. It’s the perfect blend or sweet and tangy. The jajangmyun seems to be hit or miss at times, never bad but not always consistently dope. Still I loves it. The jambong is spicy and full of seafood goodness! Over all! I gotta give it up to this spot, it’s one d my go to spots in the H Mart food court and a staple for when I pop by looking for my good ol Asian groceries. 4 jajangmyun– il-inbun-put’k-hamnida stars out of 5

Inside the H-Mart foodcourt I was unable to check-in to this place, it’s been around for a while. Great Chinese/Korean food at a low price! Super fast! The half & half is the best combo EVER! Half JiJangMyun(black bean noodles) and Jambong(Seafood Noodle Soup)…is truly genius! The best of both worlds! I will definitely come back here for this half & half combo! It’s big enough to share!
